All the bookmarks on Firefox have disappeared and no new ones can be added. I tried the backup procedure to restore lost bookmarks but I am told that the backup files (all ten of them, by date) cannot be read. History files also are not shown.

I have lots of bookmarks folders in my bookmarks menu, however recently they haven't been opening. If i hover over them it just shows a small square, and nothing happens if I click on them. However, I know that the bookmarsk are still there, because if I right click and choose open all in tabs, then the bookmarks in that folder will open. As well as this, I am also unable to create any new bookmarks - they show up if I open the Library, but not in my menu. Any help will be appreciated!

How do I eliminate the down-pointing arrowhead to the right of folders in the bookmarks toolbar? I find it redundant, and wish to have more items in that bookmarks toolbar at all times, as Chromium allowed me before I migrated to Firefox.

I get a dlink search page when I click on the bookmark or when I type in the address manually. I deleted the bookmark from Firefox and clicked on the bookmark in IE, but now it does the same thing as in Firefox. This never happened before I downloaded Firefox.

when I open nightly from the win 8 start screen (metro UI) I can't access my bookmarks (they don't show on the opening screen or when I type into the location/address bar).

When I open nightly from the desktop screen, I can open the bookmarks and see all my bookmarks.

Can anyone help me out, I need my bookmarks in 'metro' nightly for it to be any use to me. Otherwise it's uninstall time.

The server clock on a website I use to make t-times (FORETEES) is 5 hours behind the current correct time. The time has always been correct until this morning. It is necessary for the server clock on this web site to be the same as my current time. I used IE to get into the FORETEES web site and the clock was correct on the FORETEES web site. What happened between yesterday and today on the Foxfire servers...

it started with upgrade, now i just click to start, then it dies. i have uninstalled, and cache.( windows 7.my laptop) i have been using firefox 2 years. i have got firefox on my desktop computer as well, this works fine (xp professional)

ok, so I lost access to my desktop bookmarks thanks to a bad hard drive and then screwed up my sync account by resetting the key so my data is gone. I dont want to sync my tablet because it might erase the bookmarks all together so how can I backup my bookmarks on my tablet without using sync?

power surge wiped out my LT video and external connections. I can see hd on network but cannot find out where the bookmarks are. Where can I go and get the book marks from the Firefox on my damaged system and move it to other LT I have? Firefox is latest version.

When I save a page to my bookmarks it doesnt show up in my bookmarks tab. They show up if I click show all bookmarks and scroll down to end, but they do not show up on my list of bookmarks in the regular bookmarks tab. How do I get them to start showing up again on the regular bookmarks area instead of only in the show all bookmarks area?

I am on a MAC. I had my LIBRARY window open because I use it daily, mostly for bookmarks.

I wanted to delete some specific history links in the large window (with columns like Name and Location, Visit Date etc). I did not notice that the highlighted place was in the left toolbar under History so I accidentally deleted HISTORY--- Today, Yesterday and ALL of April. This is a business computer and this is a BIG problem. I tried several times under Edit to hit UNDO but it did nothing.

Why would Firefox not have some warning box to tell you you are about to delete a large amount of info? And why is it not reversible?

Also I am on my computer EVERY day for hours and the most recent bookmark backup point was today AFTER the large deletion of info mentioned above. And then the next previous one was April 23. So 2 more questions-- 1--why has it not auto backed up in almost 10 days? I don't do any manual backups. 2--does this restore point also restore history?

I am having trouble backing up my Firefox bookmarks to dvd. I've been backing up the (XP) FAVORITES folder but I just noticed that the bookmarks in this folder are not my present Firefox bookmarks that are displayed on the Firefox Bookmarks "drop-down." Where are the bookmarks located to see them and burn them to dvd using Ulead Burn Now? I followed the path C:>docs and settings>user name>application data>Mozilla but I couldn't find any bookmarks inside any of the folders within the Mozilla folder. Shouldn't I be able to see these bookmarks in some folder? Thanks for your time and consideration. A.C.

Look I had save a copy of my bookmarks on my external hard drive. I had used the file before to restore my bookmarks in the past with no problem. Now it says its not an html doc file. Or when I had to hit the reset button all my old firefox data was saved to my computers desk top in a folder how can I use the bookmark file in that folder. I hope there is a way.

I did nothing wrong yet when re-setting my Sync account, i somehow lost my data. Since then, I've been trying to do all the suggestions but haven't retrieved my data back. I'm sure it must be in your servers but can't access them. Please I desperately need your help!

I don't know but i am uncertain of the tagging in Firefox. Have the Firefox team changed the tagging in later revisions of Firefox?

Back in FF 4 i think i made som tags on a certain adress (in this case www.tranceadict.com) which in turn created a virtual folder called Tranceaddict.

When looking in the tags of the bookmarks in that folder i don't see any tags applied at all. So i wonder how i could create such a virtual folder before but not now?
