Gmail itself will load - if I type the gmail url in; if I just try and navigate to it from, say, google.co.uk it won't load. My university recently switched to gmail and none of their links work for me either.
Google maps displays a grey square with a "sorry we have no maps available for this area at this magnification" message for every location, at every magnification.
WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO BUY A NEW COMPUTER TO RUN FIREFOX,WHEN I HAVE OS 10.5?
It's ridiculous that I should have to buy a new computer to run Firefox,just because I have OS 10.5. You must think people are made of money.

This evening when I opened firefox, all the tabs from my previous session were there, but all of my bookmarks and history had disappeared. I received an error message, and tried all of the troubleshooting advice on this age: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-bookmarks-and-history-will-not-be-functional I then tried resetting firefox, and so now all my tabs and theme are gone, but still my bookmarks have not reappeared. I have tried manually creating a new profile, and copying the old files, but that doesn't work either. My firefox is technically out of date because I have an old computer, and I know this might be part of the problem. But I really just want my bookmarks back! Thanks for your help.

I have noticed recently that Firefox is taking upwards of 20sec. to load pages and often cannot find the server(I have to reload the page). I did not realize how low it had gotten until I start using safari and it seemed so fast in comparison. Does anyone know what is going on? Also, I have read a DIY fix on another conversation which states to fix the problem "To disable OCSP go to about:config from firefox and change security.OCSP.enabled to be 0. " Is this the fix? and is it safe? Does mozilla field any of these questions or is it all user help?

I have tried to go back and download Fox Fire 3.6 but can't find it. It worked with the last fox fire, but not the new. I have upgraded to the latest version of Firefox 3.6. After restarting, Firefox takes me to a page that wants me to upgrade to v.4. V4 is NOT supported on a Mac ppc with OSX 10.5 Leopard. I discovered that after I downloaded it and replaced 3.6 with the non-functional version. Then, I had to download 3.6 again. Nowhere on the Firefox 4 promo page does it have a link to system requirements, which would have saved me a lot of time. Duh, Mozilla! I cannot be the only person with a non-Intel Mac. Can you add the system requirements to the promo page to save others the same trouble?

I thought, I deleted the VSHARE ADD-ON (yes, it was not a plug in, sorry, I misspelled the question), but when typing a mere word e.g. "test" in the address bar, the VSHARE screen appears (looks similar to google's) - and I don't know how to get rid of it (NO, it is NOT my start page)!
The plug-in does NOT show up in the plug-in or add-ons list anymore.
In other words: When you start typing a www-address, but leave out the top-level domain (e.g. just "nytimes" instead of "www.nytimes.com") the browser switches to one site, that has this domain: http://vshare.toolbarhome.com/?hp=lg
This comes from the VSHARE Plug-in, which aso installed a tool bar. I deleted the tool bar as well as the plug-in - but this "link" somehow remains.
I am using: - MAC OS X - FF 3.6.12
Support is highly welcome since VSHARE is also supposed to be malware - which of course I did NOT know before!
