My firefox is currently in french. i do not know how to change this into english. no matter where i go i can not find a setting for the language to change it to english. can someone please explain to me how to do this

i've tried following AKO's advise, previously post on this site (http://militarycac.com/dodcerts.htm,) etc...

please help me install all needed certs, so this message stops appearing:

In some pages, e.g. Twitter, and pages that load FB comments sections, I'm having problems with the certificates and the pages won't load. I don't get an option to add an exception either, therefore I cannot access pages.

I have pasted the error details below. Here is some important info for you:

I doubt very much that this is an issue with the connection, as IE and Chrome are NOT having this issue on the same connection.

Error I get:

This Connection is Untrusted

         You have asked Firefox to connect securely to twitter.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
         Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

         twitter.com uses an invalid security certificate.

Can anyone shed some light? The usual troubleshooting I've come across hasn't helped me much.

Do disabled add-ons use resources? Would removing them completely use less resources? The reason I ask is, I have quite a number of add-ons in the disabled state that I have not removed in case I decide to reactivate/use them again. I was just wondering if having the add-ons associated with the FF software, even in their disabled state, caused Firefox to use any more resources (cpu/ram) than if they were completely removed? If it makes no difference whatsoever in ram/cpu usage if the disabled add-ons are removed or not removed, then I'll just leave them disabled and undeleted. But since my Firefox eats up more and more cpu and memory the longer I use it, I'm interested in getting rid of anything that eats resources, especially if I don't really use them.

I don't think my question is specific to my tech specs, but am using: Windows XP Pro, SP3, and Firefox 9.0.1 (which I intend to upgrade when I finish researching what version is best for me in terms of performance, but especially compatibility with my essential add-ons). I use Outlook Web App through the sweerver of my home university, and I am running Mac with System 10.6.8 and Firefox 9.0. Since installing Firefox 8.0 I receive e-mails fine but if I try to download any attachments, either by clicking on the link of the attachment or by right-clicking and selecting "save link as", Fireforx will always download a generic file "attachment.ashx", and I have to rename it on the desktop. Other browsers wirf fine, so the problem is obviously with Firefox.

This happens periodically when Google Instant Search is enabled. A dialog box opens asking to open a file of type "json".

How can this bug be fixed?

Sometimes when I closed tab firefox report "scrips : chrome://browser/content/tabbrowser.xml:1628" have not responding.Then I have 2 choice stop it or continue when I have choosed continue It is crash or I have choosed stop it. Its working not crash but I can't closed tabs.

I set dogpile as my homepage and browser. The funmoods.com toolbar automatically replaces dogpile as my homepage and browser. How can I totally get rid of the funmoods toolbar?

I have been using video streaming sights and there is a plugin that keeps saying it needs to be downloaded and i looked it up and its a trojan codec V. It shows the puzzle piece icon firefox uses for plugins. figured you would like to inform people that its a virus and not to download it.

I recently updated my virus package, which is AVG. With that update, all browser windows included their toolbar and all browser windows opened up to their search engine. I was able to delete the toolbar and change my homepage to google.com, but when I click on a tab to open a new window, it still opens up to the AVG search engine, which I do not want.

How can I fix this so that all new tabs open up to google.com?

Each time, FF pops 2 boxes to require the authentication.

The first time the pop-up window says: The proxy moz-proxy://xxx.xxx.xxx.xx:**** is requesting a username and password. The site says: "moz-proxy://xxx.xxx.xxx.xx:****"

If I type the username/password into the 1st windows. It is wrong. And the same windows box pops. I have to click the cancel button. And then...

The second one says:The proxy moz-proxy://xxx.xxx.xxx.xx:**** is requesting a username and password. The site says: "proxy"

I fill the username and password into it, it works well.

Does anyone know the reason why it work in this way! Could you please tell me how to disable the 1st windows box!
