Every time I shut down and re-start my computer I have to update firefox. This has only happened since my hotmail account was tampered with. I have followed hotmail's instructions for fixing that, but now I'm constantly having to update firefox - daily!

every time i type in 'youtube' in the address bar without www., .com, .net, .co.uk....... isnted of google popping up that pesky big seek pro and somtime when i type a www address as well HOW DO YOU GET IT OFF ITS ANNOYING i think its java, it keeps changing my settings

I have just upgraded from Firefox 3.6.x to Firefox 4. I had assumed that the new version would use the same settings as the previous one but it doesn't

The previous one always asked if I wante tabs saving when I closed it but this version (4) does not.

Is there a way of making it ask?

Ever since I moved to the beta version of Firefox 4, I have lost the ability to view .pdf files in Firefox. I was convinced this was a problem totally with Firefox, but at around the same time I upgraded from an old G4 PPC laptop to a new Macbook Pro. Now I find I can't view .pdf files in Safari either. Is this a problem with Firefox, or a problem with the way I have configured my new computer?

When I use FF 4.0b7 on my Mac I try to go to a website using flash (YouTube, Hulu, etc.) and it doesn't display anything. No video, nothing. But when I use FF 3.6.12 any website using flash works just fine! I've reinstalled Firefox and flash many times over, to no avail. Flash also works in other browsers, just not Firefox 4..

HI, in Firefox 3.6 every time i need to activate TOR (anti filter) i had to click on the 'TOR disable' text at the right bottom of Firefox page then the color of this note would be green and it would changed to 'TOR enabled', I'm wondering how can i enable TOR in Firefox 4. thanks for your kind attention

Well with firefox 3.6 when you have multiple tabs open and close the browser it ask you if you want to save your session for later, firefox 4 only warns you about closing multiple tabs and doesn't save them for later restoring of your session. Hopes this becomes part of the final release because that is one firefox's most useful features.

I have used Firefox 3.x for some time on a XP machine. Never any problems. It is a machine that I keep running for weeks on end without rebooting. It is a workstation but rather old.

After upgrading to Firefox 4 I get problems with memory. The machine has 2Gb of RAM. I have four tabs open in FF4, about the same as I usually have had in the past. Two of them are now pinned.

When I reboot Firefox it take about 90Mb. But after half a day that is up to 400Mb. I open and close tabs during the day. After another reboot cycle memory usage is again down.

Looks like a memory leak.

Question When I try to access sites like www. xhamster. com or xvideos. com, somehow, it is always redirected to a different web site www.sedoparking.com. Could this be due to blocking of web site by service provider?

Ever since I upgraded my Windows 7 desktop to Firefox 5 it has been a nightmare! It hangs, freezes, is unresponsive more often than working. I have to us my laptop, still on FF4, to post this or risk being totally grey before I could finish posting. I see by the comments that I am not alone in having this problem, but do not see any offered solution. Do I have to revert to FF4 to use my desktop or is a solution forthcoming?

I am using Firefox 4 Beta 9 on a 3 Macs and one Linux machine. Since I started using Firefox 4 Beta 9 I get the error "Sync encountered an error while syncing: Unknown error. Sync will automatically retry this action" It is in an endless loop. How do I fix this?
