The download pop-up window save or cancel. At save the download begins with the download window monitoring the download. When the download is finished the right-click option is not accessible for "open". Double clicking the download does not open it. The file is not saving in the specified "Downloads" folder that I have selected in the options window. I just bought a DVD Decoder downloaded it and now I have to open it or I have to buy it again. Is there someway I can open the file? Mozilla 3.6.8 did not allow the Troubleshooter 1.1.a

Firefox tells me I need to manual install a plug-in for Windows Media Player but when it takes me to the plug-in it is only for Windows Vista and earlier Windows versions. Should I install that plug-in or just not bother, as for some reason the content plays anyway?

The Silverlight plugin crashes every time i try to watch a video at the Universal Sports website. I have uninstalled this plugin and re-enstalled it many times with no success

After I open a few different pages or tabs within the pages, the plugin-container.exe max's my cpu usage and the system hangs horribly. It comes back and then hangs again. The plugin-container is reasonable new, because I don't recall seeing it in the Task Manager. Is there a way to fix this?? I know it's related to some apple piece of garbage software that I could totally do without if that helps.

Downloaded Firefox 4 beta3. I'm on Linux (Mint-ubuntu). I am assuming it detected my OS, because it offered no choices. (got a .tar.bz2 file)

I was expecting a self-installing file (like Chrome and Virtualbox provide) where one can just click on the file and it installs (just like in windoze). (you guys really should make it as easy as for chrome - not everyone on Linux is a geek).

I have no idea how to install this. If it's just to extract, I don't know the conventions on where to send it, and have it add the program to the Mint menu.

Could you please provide with detailed instructions or point me to the correct file for download? Thanks very much.

When I do a google search, I get a bunch of results. However, when I click on a link, it goes to a different webpage - not the one shown on the search page. Sometimes it comes up at scour.com.

I looked up scour.com on Wikipedia, which states that there is a "redirect virus" that is infecting my computer. It cited "Mozilla Support." So, I am asking the Mozilla Forum - How do I get rid of the virus? McAfee is not finding and removing it, and neither is Malware Bytes anti-malware software. Any suggestions?

I was downloading several programs and being very careful not to except any additional downloads. When the next day I booted up my computer and found NCH Toolbar on my browser and with it a number of other problems.

(added this from "more system details") - I went to Add/Remove but the NCH Toolbar wasn't there but it's on my browser. I went to Search and typed in 'how to remove NCH Toolbar'. What a bunch of junk- Go to Add/Remove,I did that already-Get free removal software,Yell right with up-sell on software. I burned up two days chasing my tail or these idiots,you know who you are and they'll identify themselves when they try to defend themselves. I kept playing around on the Tabs on Firefox and came to the Tab marked Tools. I opened Tools and found Add-ons and opened that and found NCH Toolbar Uninstall. WOW !!! It worked why did it have to be so hard,because the greedy Jerks have to make money on us. Well, I don't need to ruin to my reputation so my information is free.

5 days ago I downloaded a trail version of Babylon translating software. After 1 day I didnt like this software and uninstalled. When I start firefox search.babylon opens the first tab and appears on my screen. Iahve search for all files on my pc with the words "babylon" and deleted the results. This did not help. How do I get rid of babylon totally.

When I try loading a web site, the FF doesn't load anything. If I move or press the mouse(or press a key on the keyboard), FF loads a small part and stops again, until the next mouse movement. After the site has loaded, if there are flash animations in the site, they don't animate, until I move/press mouse/keyboard. I noticed this while loading embedded.com, but this behavior is seen for all the sites. Only that on some sites, the flash animations play without a problem. On embedded.com(I've tested there mostly) when I right click on a flash movie, the site continues working fine - everything plays smoothly. But when I click elsewhere it all stops again. I have latest version of FF and Adobe Flash Player installed. WinXP OS with latest updates. I have not tried to restart my browser because I'm afraid this behavior will disappear - but it doesn't mean it won't happen again :)

I keep getting the message "Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party". I have unchecked all the boxes in the Tools>Options>Security>Settings. They weren't checked to begin with. In fact, if I select the "I'm about to view an encrypted page that contains some unencrypted information" option I get a dialog box that looks completely different and is worded "You have requested an encrypted page that contains some unencrypted information. Information that you see or enter on this page could easily be read by a third party." When I click continue I get the the original message too! What is going on and how do I fix it?

Firefox no longer asks to save tabs before closing firefox. It warns me that it is about to close all tabs but no longer asks to save them.

How can I set Firefox to auto refresh a tab? Is it possible? It is a forum web page that is not auto refreshing by itself so auto refreshing would be nice since every few seconds someone posts something new.

Firefox is very slow loading web pages. Was OK with the old version. This happened after I downloaded latest upgraded version 3.6.8
