I have been using my 3.6.28 Firefox for more than 3 years and still want to use it in the future. Some functions are not working when I visit websites so I need to install the newest as to see them. I have Google Chrome as my second browser but would like to swap it for the latest Firefox. Read on some forum that its not possible to have two Firefox browsers on the same Win OS. Is it possible to have both my old Firefox 3 and Firefox 20 installed on the same Win XP OS as teo different programs?

It's just popped up randomly while I was watching YouTube videos.

My Firefox 3.6.28 browser keeps crashing unexpectedly. I already tried using Firefox on Safe Mode, but it did not crash. I believe it might be an add-on that might be causing the crashes, but I'm not sure if it is or which add-on is it. I do not want to upgrade to Firefox beyong 3.6+ because I worked too hard to configure/accustom the current 1 I have to my preference. And a lot of my addons are incompatible with Firefox browser versions 4 & up.

You are annoying me and it may cause me to delete Firefox and use another browser if you do not frankly and forthrightly answer my question and not skirt the issue and pretend you are addressing a question about auto-updates because that is not my question, which in fact is: How do I disable the window you have put on my home page that urges an upgrade to a newer version of Firefox? I simply want to keep the older version because I do not like your newer version, so don't end up like Avira (My former virus protection) and get replaced with a competing product merely because you have thoughtlessly gone overboard with the splash screen notifications. After all, I really do want to continue to say I like Firefox, not I used to like Firefox until... Put another way, its just like "A Few Good Men" Is this crystal?

Just today, FF has started to crash whenever I log into Google Docs. The Google Forum suggested that it was the Flash plug-in that did this. Sure enough, disabling the Flash plugin version 11.2.202.228 fixes the crash problem. It is the latest version, I checked that. But of course now I don't have a Flash plug-in, which means that I don't have the full functionality thst i may need when viewing Flash objects in the browser. Is there a proper fix for this?

So im having a issue here. I love the 3.6.28 Firefox version as its simple and fastest for my Slow PC. I though installed the new 12.0 version as FF decided not to support 3.6 anymore and was hugely disappointed with how slow it is. Anyway my issue: Ive disabled plugin container in 3.6 due to eating up my RAM. Settings: http://kb.mozillazine.org/images/Fx366-OOPP.PNG
Installed FF 12.0 and i now suddenly i see 2x plugin container running at the same time. When i disable it again the same way i did in v 3.6 I cant play my favourite game anymore as its all grey when the game launches. Its called Quakelive.com and is runned through the web. So i went back to v 3.6. Can i work around this somehow? I dont like having the plugin container eating my RAM. And the point it actually did work in the earlier version 3.6 it should work now? What i want is do disable plugin container and still be able to run flash, java etc just like the way i have in v 3.6. I hope someone has an idea. Thanks!

I have Mac OS X 10.4 and Firefox 3.6.28. I keep getting this message when going to different sites. Most times the message disappears so quickly I do not have time to even click on the "allow" button. Sometimes I do click it, but still cannot get to the page! I read some other questions and answers re going to preferences, advanced, general, and clicking the third box under accessibility, regarding "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page". If I "uncheck" the box, the only thing that happens is I don't see the message any more. But it still will not load the page! Can anyone help?? Thank you!!
How do I get rid of the annoying yellow bar at the top that tells me to update plug-ins, even though my operating system doesn't allow me to make these updates?
Is there a way I can fix this problem on my Mac OS X... or do I need to go back to Safari?

When I login to Gmail on Firefox, it opens up my Inbox for a few seconds, then Firefox stops responding. All of my tabs on Firefox gets affected, and eventually Firefox crashes.
I tried disabling Javascript and used Gmail in its basic HTML format, and it didn't crash. But when I re-enabled Javascript to have Gmail set back to its Standard format, Firefox crashes again.
Plus, whenever I don't use Gmail and Firefox is running fine, when I close Firefox, it closes fine but then I get a pop-up window stating that Firefox crashed and needs to send a report.
These problems just started today.
