EVERY time I open Mozilla Firefox to go online it opens to Bearshare, and I try to CHANGE it EVERY time! I will change the settings for the homepage and save, but once I turn it off, I am right back at the BEARSHARE SEARCH I HATE!!!! I want it removed PERMANENTLY from our computer but cannot get it out!!!! PLEASE HELP, I HATE BEARSHARE!

I like to have a number of tabs open each time I use Firefox and have configured it accordingly. I have also configured the toolbar to use Google.

From time to time Firefox terminates abnormally (e.g. if the PC crashes) and then I lose all my tabs plus the toolbar has an extra line to use babylon search.

Is it possible for me to save information about all of my tabs in a backup file of my choosing so that I can restore the settings manually? What file does it have to be copied into to restore?

The babylon problem is less pressing as it is easy to lose that line - but it is still annoying.

Each time I open firefox i receive the security warning window - sec_error_expired-certificate. Upon viewing the certificate it appears to come from "godaddy", I am unfamiliar with using their server or website's, please advise, Thanks Wade

Is there anyway to disable the 'PluginCheck' website on firefox? It automatically opens up every time I open firefox. My home page also opens up as a separate tab so it's not the fact that my home page was changed (I also made sure in the settings). All my plugins are up to date so it's not that as well. It's extremely annoying. Help would greatly be appreciated.

startnow tool bar with bing just appeared on my foxfire tool bar. i tried deleting it from programs- it deleted from programs, but still appears in the tool bar! can you help?

I can log into hotmail but cannot open my emails or go to Sent items or anything. I have gone on the Hotmail Help Forum and MANY people are having the same problem. Hotmail say we should use Internet explorer and they do not really answer about using Firefox.

People using Firefox 3 and 4 are having problems.

Also, i downloaded Forefox 4.0.1 and it was not fully compatible with Kaspersky - has this problem also now been resolved?

In summary - is Forfox 4.0.1 NOT comaptible with Hotmail and Kaspersky?

I got a Flash update this morning, now every time I start Firefox, the Plugin Check tells me:

Missing FLASH?

For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Flash. Please upgrade to the latest version.

- - - - - But further down that same page it tells me the version I have is up to date:

Every time i start writing a new email to send in Hotmail, i get an error message appear preventing me from continuing saying, 'Windows Live Hotmail was not able to complete this request. Microsoft may contact you about any issues you report.' I don't get this problem with Windows Explorer?

Specials Savings or Superfish will not let me uninstall from your browser –When I uninstalled the Superfish from the control panel/programs the Pug in extension changed from Superfish to Special Savings.

I am unable to connect to certain websites, as my request is redirected. A user in another forum suggests the virus is located in the Firefox Extension Shockwave Flash (Flash Player) but he doesn't know how to get rid of the virus, even using antivirus software!

Where are the instructions about how to upgrade to Firefox 5?

I have FF v4 and want to upgrade to v5. But despite my searching, I cannot find any instructions on how to upgrade. Why do S/W developers for the most part fail to provide this essential information?

Specifically, does one do an in-place upgrade (install to existing v4 directory)? If so, are all the user's settings/ preferences/ configurations/ bookmarks/etc. preserved? Or does one install to a new directory? If that is the case, how does one then incorporate their former customizations into the new install? Also, what happens to add-ons, plug-ins, etc.

Install instructions, including upgrade instructions, should be readily available on the same page where the download link is!

Please advise. I'm anxious to upgrade, but without this basic information, I will not feel comfortable in doing so.

I can't store my browsing history of my firefox 3.6.17 browser for about three months. Although it is May I can't delete my January and February browsing history no matter how much i try. I tried going to options-> privacy-> clear recent history. Everything else erases except browsing history. How can I fix it?

I have been unsuccessfully trying to logout, using the drop down for logout under account that I have used for years. It won't let me shut it down. I went in using Internet Explorer and it let me open and shut down, no problem.

on firefox startup I get two tabs... one for google (my home page) the other for plugin check. I go to tools/advanced and turn off startup check for plugins, the restart firefox... the plugin check tabe still appears. All of my plugins are up to date!!! How do I stop this auto plugin check from taking place each time I start up firefox? This never was a problem before, just started yesterday and I can't stop it.

My whole Mac Book Pro (five years old running Snow Leopard 10.6.7) has been slowed down. I know someone with a 3 month old Mac Book Pro that is having the same problem. Every aspect of my computer slows down so badly when Firefox is open. I saved a copy of Firefox 3.6.16 just in case thank goodness. I am using it now without a problem. I read you know about this at a Mac Chat Site, and are working on a fix. But I read nothing about it here.

I think my granddaughter updated my browser... my homepage has changed and my foxfire taskbar is gone. I cannot arrow back or find my homepage button. also no tools tab to reset my homepage.
