Woke up, firefox upgraded, Bookmark Toolbar disappeared. I right clicked and made it show up again except there are no book marks on this 'toolbar' and I cant seem to add anything, let alone my old book marks, into this tab. I checked the bookmarks folder and the Bookmark Toolbar is still there

Can someone help?

When I attempt to load a .pdf file, a window pops up reading "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again. (4:4)" I have tried rebooting the computer, uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, making sure all plug-ins are updated (they are), disabling every other plug in to see if it was interfering (they weren't -- still got same message), and reinstalling adobe reader (and flash, just for good measure).

Is it possible to remove this 1 px space above tabs (tab bar)? http://i.imgur.com/NFply.png

What I'm trying to achieve is to find a way to either "shift" tabs more to top so that they cover that 1 px line so that when the mouse is moved to highest top of screen, tabs are being selected instead of current behavior where tabs are a bit down.

Using Linux build of Firefox on Debian with LXDE DE, Firefox being without decoration and maximized (as seen in screenshot).

• Edit: I forgot to mention that when switching firefox to fullscreen more the desired behavious is achieved although the line is stil there but the tabs seletion space increases to the topmost of screen.

When I click a link, a new tab opens, but won't load the web page until I reload the tab.

This doesn't usually happen if I go to a recently visited site, but mainly on sites that I haven't visited in several hours.

My PC stays on between attempts and I keep FF open; rebooting doesn't help either.

This has been occurring since my last 2-3 FF updates.

I used to be able to visit the Especially Yours website and click on any item and not have a problem. Now no matter how I get to the website I end up with a 404 error. I've had several people try to get to it and they've had no problem. I also was able to load the site through Internet Explorer with no problem. If I click a link in an email it will initially land on the site then immediately roll to a 404 error page saying it can't find the site. I have gone through and looked at all of my security settings and have set them to allow cookies and popups for the site but still it will not load. I went directly to the site by typing in the URL and it allowed me to land on the main page. But the minute that I click on a specific item to take a closer look it allows the page to pop up and then automatically roll to the 404 error page. This has become very frustrating because I primarily use FireFox and I don't using Internet Explorer anymore.

Firefox version 16.0.2 was working I have used FF for years. A few days ago it started to run very slow opening web sites. Then this morning when I tried to open it I saw a progress bar that looked like the kind I see after an update has been applied but FF never opened. I rebooted my windows 7 64 bit and tried again, nothing FF would not open and I got no error message. So I opened the profile manager and only found a default profile not the one I created last year with my name. I created a new profile and browsed to my old profile folder. FF opened and ran fine until I closed it and later tried to open it again then I kept getting an error box telling me that FF had crashed and asked if I wanted to send a report and restart, I did but no good it still would not open. I ran the profile manager again and found my profile had changed name to a bunch of numbers. I delete that profile but kept the folder then made a new one and that worked. I shut it down again and once again I get the We're sorry error box. By the way I had set the profile manager to open when FF loads and it is not opening so the problem is before it gets to that command.

FF 16.0.2, Windows 7 Home Premium.

I go to Facebook, and the following don't work:

• dropping down the "notifications" menu
• dropping down the "messages" menu
• seeing who "liked" something by hovering over
• the detailed list of events in top right
• the chat feature

When I switch off the "ask" feature (by going "Remember history"), and reload FB, all of the above immediately work. When I switch to "Custom/ask" again, and reload FB, the above don't work again. It's entirely reproducible.

Opening the "Add-ons Manager" shows a message "You don't have any add-ons of this type installed" despite the fact I have many add-ons installed. In fact, I can still use add-ons just fine, they just don't show up in the manager. So, I can't access preferences for most of my add-ons.

I had this problem once before and was able to solve it through extensive Google searching. However, when I fixed the problem before, I had to re-add all of my add-ons to the browser window as it was reset to the default in fixing it. My issue isn't so much how to fix it like I did before, but rather—since it seems to have been only a temporary fix—figure out how to prevent it from happening again. See, I really don't want to have to do what I did before as it is time consuming. Especially, if it's going to happen again. Like, I don't want to have to reset and re-organize Firefox every couple of months.

The solution I used before, if I recall correctly, was deleting some preference files, re-opening Firefox, and then putting everything back the way it was. Restarting Firefox in safe mode did nothing and restarting my computer did nothing. I can't remember if I updated Firefox after noticing the problem the first time; I don't think I did, so I'm not sure if it would've fixed the problem or not (or if updating caused it because I had recently updated Firefox prior to noticing the problem).

One more piece of info is that the first time this happened to me was Firefox 14 or 14.1 (or .0.1 maybe).

I go to www.massey.ac.nz, and do a search for Computer Science. Then after submitting the search all I get is a Loading message. I do the same thing in Internet Explorer 10, and get search results.

Well, basically firefox won't start unless i open the profile manager and create and/or use a newly created profile. However, if i try to open firefox again after closing it with the same mozilla profile it just won't start. The mouse will briefly display a loading symbol but nothing happens. Google chrome and internet explorer work just fine if that helps.

I am running Windows xp7 service pack 1. With Firefox 16.0.2 with all add ons disabled. The computer is Dell XPS L702x 64 bit. 6G of Ram. I did not have this problem prior to this of Firefox.

I am new to Firefox. I downloaded an add on (MacX YouTube Downloader) but I cant seem to find it to use it. I can see it was downloaded. Any help will be appreciated

WunderMap time shows EST when page opens in Firefox 16.0.2. on iMac (Intel Core 2 Duo) OSX 10.5.8. When I open the same page in Safari, it shows the correct DST. Is there a way to adjust this in Firefox?

The question says it all I think but my particular interest comes from not having a better principle (I used to have automatically common-coloured tabs but I forget how - perhaps Stylish...) of making a subset of tabs with a common theme (in this case similar-URLs) be easily re-visited. My main interest (currently) is no more complicated than grouping by URL which is crying out to be automatically maintained. Thanks.

This doesn't happen all the time, but enough times where it's annoying and shouldn't happen. I normally click force quit because everything is going so slowly and not functioning properly. HELP!

Until recently I have accessed my Easyjet account with no difficulty. My son has used my laptop in the past to print out his boarding pass. No problem in the past. For a week each time I went on to the Easyjet web site to make a booking it kept throwing me onto my son's account and even with his password to log out it just kept returning me to his account. I tried a different laptop and found that I was being connected to my son's partner's Easyjet account.

I contacted Easyjet but the solutions they offered were already ones I tried.  I then went to an Apple store and as the adviser was not familiar with Firefox she suggested using Safari which I did and then I was able to make my booking through my Easyjet account.

Have uninstalled Adobe Flash Plug-in and reinstalled latest version. Had recently downloaded FF 19.0.1 and when I did a System Restore to last week which was before this problem started, went back to FF 16.2. Checked and all my plug-ins are up to date. Don't know what else to try. Please help!

P.S. Didn't update FF previously because I was trying to retain Red Cats with Green Flavor add-on.

Keep getting pop-ups on my computer. Contacted one of the companies the pop-up talks about. They have confirmed its not them and told me it sounds like I have spyware in my computer. They have advised me to download "adaware" or "spybot" search and destroy program, to scan my computer with. I would like to know if Firefox has something I can download ...thank you very much

This evening when I opened firefox, all the tabs from my previous session were there, but all of my bookmarks and history had disappeared. I received an error message, and tried all of the troubleshooting advice on this age: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-bookmarks-and-history-will-not-be-functional I then tried resetting firefox, and so now all my tabs and theme are gone, but still my bookmarks have not reappeared. I have tried manually creating a new profile, and copying the old files, but that doesn't work either. My firefox is technically out of date because I have an old computer, and I know this might be part of the problem. But I really just want my bookmarks back! Thanks for your help.
