It seems that since the automatic update from Firefox 14.0.1 to Firefox 15.0, the browser works normally when viewing pages containing Adobe Flash elements, but crashes when I close the Firefox window. Apparently the browser exits normally but one or two seconds later, Windows reports that Firefox has stopped working and the crash details indicate there was a problem with xul.dll.

This happens randomly, not systematically. But in all cases, it was after some Flash content was loaded. It never happened with Firefox 14 nor any previous versions, and Flash 11.4 was installed before the automatic Firefox update.

Using Firefox 15.0, Flash 11.4.402.265 on Windows 7 SP1 64 bits.

As of yesterday, I can't access gmail using Firefox. I can access all other websites (including other Google services), but not gmail. I just get the message:

"The page isn't redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

I have tried reinstalling Firefox, emptying/deleting cache and cookies, disabling add-ons - basically every fix that I can find on the web, but no good! I can access gmail with no problems using Chrome and IE.

Any ideas?

I had a technician to clean and remove Babylon search from my computer and it still attached itself to whatever I'm doing. I uninstalled Mozilla fox at least five times , then re-installed. However, I cannot get rid of Babylon search. I spent $100 dollars to resolved this problem and it's not working. I handle high confidential files on my computer. I am afraid to open the file due to fear of information being compromised.

Since upgrading to firefox 15.0 data execution protection (dep) continually closes adobe flash player so that I cannot play videos etc. Please note it does not actually crash. Is anyone else having this problem ? Other web browsers ( opera and chrome ) are not affected in this way.

I am using lastest version firefox. When I starting new browser opening page turn to: isearch.claro-search.com/?affID=114522&tt=3712_5&babsrc=NT_ss&mntrId=3aee867c0000000000008c89a580fbee and it also added to the search engine column. I did amend the home page and remove it from the search engine. But it still on the tab page whenever I add a new tab page its url also "ClaroSearch". Please help how to remove it. Thank you

My computer was running great, then the update of firefox to version 15 caused everything to run slow. I an running windows XP. I deleted firefox and re-installed version 14. Everything ran great again. Firefox automatically updated to 15 again, and now the computer is running REALLY slow again. Is there a fix for this slow running in 15, or can I stay with 14 and get no updates???? This is really annoying.

I keep cleaning out my internet file, and deleating babylon but the dam thing keeps comming back. It is taking over my computer and I dont know how I got it in the first place. BUT want it out of here in a big way. TAKE ME BACK TO GOOGLE SEARCH!

I have tried reinstalling the Java Plugin for Firefox over and over and over again, but it says that I still need to install it when I go to a website that requires it. I made sure that the plugins page for Firefox says that it is enabled (which it is). Java works fine in IE for me, and Chrome. Firefox is the only browser where Java is not working.

Please help me, or I will be switching to a different browser. Thank you.

Since my update to Firefox 15, it crash every little while; i tried everything, from unistalling and re-installing it to safe mode and more... but nothing changed! The only clue i have is that every time after i use Facebook, opening some tabs, or something similar, my computer fill all the RAM i have (4GB), and particulary Firefox manage to get this incredible and wrong usage!! i have some crash ID report i hope could help to fix this problem of mine... I have 2 issues while I'm using Firefox 15 a) flash player 11.4 crashing in Firefox and b) Firefox just not responding for 5/ 10 minutes at a time. I have Firefox 15.1 now and the so-called 'patch' for flash player as I'm now on version 11.4 flash player , I've disabled hardware acceleration to no avail and I'm sorry but the' Disabling Protected Mode in Flash' looks very complicated for the average user , and I don't have real-player. I have also tried 'safe mode with extensions disabled , it's OK for a little while but then starts hanging / flash crashing. I have started a new thread as this issue is on-going ( for me anyway) is it possible that the Firefox not responding issue is related to the flash player crashing issue I have because sometimes the two happen at nearly the same time for example Firefox hangs for 5/10 minutes then the flash player crashes ( sometimes Firefox hangs for 5/10minutes and flash player doesn't crash), either way using Firefox has become a nightmare for me these past few months , with all the flash crashes every 10/15 minutes and Firefox not responding every 10/15minutes it takes me forever to do anything on-line. ( I even had a not responding period of 5minutes as I was writing this .) Please any advice how to deal with the crashing of flash all the time and Firefox not responding/ hanging so often . I have included the crash reports IDs below.

Just started with this problem, when I open a new window which is my preference rather than Tabs I find that whereas it used to open the new window and that was active, it is now opening a new window and then reverting to the original one.

Any ideas?

I cannot change the search engine permanently. I changed in about:config manually the search machine. But if I put in a search string into the address, the "old" engine shows me the results again. Also in the search engine management on the right side (sorry, using german version, so I'm not totally sure about the right name) I cannot delete the engine. If I delete there the search engine, FF ignores my command. Thank you for helping me!

When I updated from 14.1?? UP to 15. My pages load slower. BEFORE update. Pages were fast, Have tried against Opera AND Internet Explorer. Both of those load like Firefox USE to. I have tried resetting,tweaking and reinstalling. Same issue. Is there a way to go back to 14? Or can I make 15 better? Like I said. SAME pages with other browsers load at least 30-40% faster.

So essentially, it seems that somehow my PC has picked up a version of the Google redirect virus. It is only affecting Firefox, and it seems to be a bit stealthier than previous versions. Essentially, 70% of the time I try and click on a search result (only the first one clicked per search), it will redirect me to a php script on a different server. It seems the script analyzes what I searched and attempts to redirect me to a phishing site that has related information about my search e.g. realgamerz.net and other shady URLs. I assumed it was a registry issue, but despite using all of the below virus/malware scanners nothing has been found. Is it possible one of my plugins has been compromised and that it has something to do with the Firefox software/Firefox plugins? Your advice is much appreciated.

When I click in newtab it goes to www.v9.com/br/newtab. Notice that it happens just when I click in newtab. I would like to control the way that the newtab works.
