I am running Firefox for mac version 13.0.1. I keep getting the update window and I have tried numerous times to update but I get the window "connecting to the update server" and it just sits and sits and sits and never connects. If I download the latest version rather than updating I am afraid I will loose all of my bookmarks.

4 weeks ago I installed a new WXP (2002) program/system. I then moved my browser to Firefox/Mozilla. When asked to input data for Outlook Express (in the service pack 2 for WXP) I gave them the wrong settings for pop & smtp input and output. How can I correct these settings to make Outlook Express useful?

is there a way to set cache for web content and media to much higher than the configured value of 1024 MB for web ,and 512 for media . tried doing so from " about:config " but it doesn't seem to impact the browser's configuration , and it still clears most cache when it reaches the pre-set limit . I'm trying to do so because I have limited bandwidth and plenty of disk space so I would rather have many things cached for the long run instead of reloading them frequently .

I recently downloaded the Firefox update and for some reason when I type in a keyword in my address bar or Google tool bar... I am redirected to "Google Custom search"- not just Google.com SERPs. How can I remove this "custom" view?

The latest Firefox won't launch. Here's what I get...

Firefox continually crashes (approx. 6-8 times a day or more) due to Adobe Flash player crashing.

I'm running Firefox 13.0.1 and Adobe Flash 11.3.300.262

I noticed that since the second-to-last update of Flash Firefox has been crashing a lot. Before that Firefox crashed 'only' once a day or so.

Over the past few months I've read just about every thread related to Flash & Firefox and I'm not about to spend hours troubleshooting stuff, trying to disable hardware acceleration, etc, etc. I've done that before when the Flash-crash issue started a couple of months ago. (Also, Firefox is sometimes sending you automated crash reports, so you should have that data.) I would expect Firefox to simply "work" reasonably well, and as of the past couple of months or so, it hasn't.

W.T.F, Mozilla? I've used your browsers (Netscape) since the early 90s and have been quite happy - until recently, that is. As of now I'm having to go back to using Internet Explorer.

I sincerely hope Mozilla can finally resolve this issue as I still believe Firefox could be a great browser if it didn't "fight" with Flash all the time.

I'm unable to play videos of any sort in Firefox (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.). I've installed the latest version of Flash multiple times and I've downloaded the latest version of Firefox. I've also tried disabling Adblock and clearing the cache/history, but nothing works.

I believe I started getting this problem when I updated flash player but when I tried reinstalling this did not solve the problem. This problem seems to be only happening with mozilla and other browsers like chrome has not have this error. Clearing cookies and cache does not work since I have put never remember history as my option for mozilla. So right now I have no idea what else to try if anyone knows how to solve this, it would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Anytime I run Firefox my audio runs through Adobe Flash Player 11.3 r300. The volume defaults at full volume which is too loud and hurts my ears anytime I'm on a site like Youtube. I was wondering if there was a way to disable this or if I could get rid of it completely. Thanks in advance.

i know i made a second post about this i messed up. so i cant watch any youtube videos on firefox but i can watch them on google chrome and internet explore. when i try to play a youtube video i cant cick play and the video is all black i post a screen and show you.

Sometime ago i was looking for help with the Flash Plugin crashes. The problem was eased by uninstalling the flash player on the pc and relying on the one built in with Firefox, so that only plugin-container was running. Today, the Flash Player update program appeared and i assumed it was something to do with Firefox. It installed the latest version but then Flash Player Plugin 11_***_*_*_*_** appeared in Task Manager using up loads of memory. Has something changed ? I've tried resetting Firefox and reinstalling it but i cannot get Flash Player without installing the software from Adobe. Windows Vista 32x. Firefox 13.0

A couple of days ago Firefox started crashing repeatedly. I've tried the following: Opening in Safe mode (still crashes) Updated to 13.0 Total uninstall (including deleting all files and folders; I got my personal information back by syncing)

Specifically, the problem is this. When using a Flash player (audio or video) on any web page, while doing activity in another tab or window on the same browser, the sound or video stutters and chops up. Like, just mousing over links in a webpage will cause the sound to jump and stutter in time with the mouse actions. Happens with embedded audio players and video players alike. Really annoying. I reverted to an older Flash version a couple weeks ago and that fixed the issue.

I also posted about this in the Adobe Flash forum, since the problem arose when updating to the latest Flash Player version. I suppose the problem is more on the Flash end than in Firefox... though the new Flash update works well in Chrome and Safari and IE.

I downloaded the new version of firefox and am trying to revert back to the 11.2 version of the adobe flash player for a 64 bit windows machine, but it does not seem to work. I've downloaded it from this website (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1022066) and went through the install process, however it does not show up in my Plugins. Any ideas to get it to work?

I suddenly began having problems with Facebook, and then with Huffington Post. On HP, the dropdown menu for notifications won't load. On Facebook, things are far worse. Chat won't load, and I can't load private messages. In addition, the page won't refresh. When things get really bad, I can't even post. This all began rather suddenly as I was running Firefox version 12.x, but the problems continue in 13.x (for Windows 7, 64 bit)..
