I had a huge session that had been there for quite a few days. I was doing some important work and had to refer to websites opened on it daily. Today when I came home I noticed that my computer had restarted. When I opened firefox to restore the session and begin work again, it opened to my home page. I don't know who sat on my computer when I was gone and how many times was it used during this time. Is there anyway to recover that previous session that I had?

Just give me the Windows 7 filepath to the Mozilla Firefox folder that contains the thumbnails and information that belong to the "New Tab" (+) button in Firefox. I DO NOT want an answer that just tells me to clear my cache, cookies, history, offline website data, etc. I have already done that, and that is NOT what I need, because clearing everything erases things that I DO need. I will filter through and delete these items myself, I am not an idiot.

My Firebox browser had all of it's menu bars, address bars, and toolbars closed (to make room for a web screen on a Netbook). I am now left with the Tab area... and the title bar... but *nothing* else.

While in this state, I can't find any area of the interface where I can right click to "recheck" any of my bars... menu, address, or toolbars.

Is there a Windows registry setting that could get me started? Or perhaps a key click combination to enable any of those functions?

Right now I'm stuck with no ability to navigate to another site, or do anything other than open more tabs.  :-)

I keep getting the message "Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party". I have unchecked all the boxes in the Tools>Options>Security>Settings. They weren't checked to begin with. In fact, if I select the "I'm about to view an encrypted page that contains some unencrypted information" option I get a dialog box that looks completely different and is worded "You have requested an encrypted page that contains some unencrypted information. Information that you see or enter on this page could easily be read by a third party." When I click continue I get the the original message too! What is going on and how do I fix it?

Occasionally when I have multiple tabs open in firefox, I find myself unable to close individual tabs when I'm finished browsing the particular page. I click the X and nothing happens. It doesn't happen too often, but it's kind of annoying when it does.

I had many sites bookmarked in Firefox 7. All these bookmarks were associated to icons linked to the sites. Almost all my bookmarks lost their icons (now replaced by an empty square) after updating to Firefox 8. Que pasa ??

I recently had to re-install my whole OS (Windows XP Professional) and re-download Firefox (3.6.12). Before this, Firefox not only remembered what folder I wanted something saved to, it also remembered my preference was to save and not open.

Whenever I would download something that couldn't be done by right-clicking (like a zipped video file), the "Save" option was always the choice that was checked. Now, the "Open" option is always checked and no matter how many times I choose save, Firefox just won't remember. I have looked all over "Tools/Options" and can find nothing that seems to relate to this problem.

Is there some setting I can change to get Firefox to always choose "Save" as the default? I do a lot of saving that cannot be done via right-clicking and it's incredibly annoying and time-consuming to have to repeatedly change the setting manually.

In the update to FF 4, icons appeared next to all of my Bookmarks in the Toolbar.

If it's possible to disable these icons so the Toolbar only shows the text, please let me know.

If not, I'd like to put my 2 cents in to say I don't like this at all.

1) Partially because now only 60% of them fit across the top of the screen 2) Partially because I just don't need an icon to help me find which bookmark I'm looking for. 3) They are a total waste of space and make it look more cluttered.

Is there anyway to import bookmarks and settings from Firefox 3.6.* into Firefox 4 (Beta) ? I use Firefox 3.6.* but have also installed Firefox 4 separately and would like to have my bookmarks. The 'Import' option only shows importing from IE :(

I downloaded BearShare last week and it changed my homepage to http://search.bearshare.com. Now, I cannot change this. Whenever I go into settings to change it, then save, it will change it until I close my browser and open it again, then it goes right back to http://search.bearshare.com.

I just downloaded Firefox 4, and my HP SimplePass Identity Protection features no longer work. I had all my passwords saved in Identity Pass to be entered with my fingerprint, but they are no longer recognized on Firefox 4- all passwords need to be entered manually. SimplePass no longer recognizes log on screens with this new version. Is it just my computer, or is this an issue that can be resolved?

I got a previous version of Firefox (3.x), which was with German menus. Now I have updated to V. 4.0.1 and the menus are in English. How can I manage to get them in German? Running Firefox on Windows 7, ultimate.

EVERY time I open Mozilla Firefox to go online it opens to Bearshare, and I try to CHANGE it EVERY time! I will change the settings for the homepage and save, but once I turn it off, I am right back at the BEARSHARE SEARCH I HATE!!!! I want it removed PERMANENTLY from our computer but cannot get it out!!!! PLEASE HELP, I HATE BEARSHARE!
