My problem with Firefox ONLY seems to occur with messages in my email (hotmail-outlook). Quite often I open an email to see no message OR I click on a link to a video and no video appears. What does appear is a black screen with the sound of the video but no picture. Despite asking questions about this previously, there seems to be only two ways to solve this problem. The first is to clear the cache and then refresh the page and I am able to see the word text that wasn't there beforehand (I might add that this only occurs if it is a forwarded email with text; not if it is just a standard email text someone has sent to me. The second method that seems to work is to close off Firefox by clicking the close box (X) at the top right and then reload Firefox and my email account and then all seems to work. Is there a solution as to the cause of this problem and how I can fix it, please? Would be most appreciative of your advice. Regards and thanks, Anthony

I use FireFox on a Macintosh system. I recently purchased an Apple Magic Mouse, which has no discreet buttons and uses touch sensing to detect right and left mouse clicks. I also enabled a plug-in that allows support for a middle mouse click.

FireFox has this "feature" where by a middle mouse click on a tab can close that tab. When I'm using the Magic Mouse, sometimes I want to left click on a tag to activate it, however if I'm not paying close attention my finger is too far to the right, and the click with be detected as a middle click instead of a left click. So instead of accessing the tab, I will loose it completely, which leads to very undesirable user experience.

How can someone prevent FireFox from closing tabs with a middle mouse click?

Click ok to reload your page each time I log on to computer. Also each time I minimize the screen when I bring back up I get message "firefox is running" but will not come back on screen. Have to go to task manager and stop then reopen. I never had any issues before update. I've removed and re-downloaded several times. I use yahoo email a lot and have tried the basic down load of firefox (received message unable to initialize installer GUI) tried firefox optimized for yahoo still have same issues.

When browsing to a java applet launched via JNLP, FF 21/22/Nightly will not load and deploy the java applet correctly, but FF 20 does. I have tried the following things:

- Install/Uninstall/Install Java 7 Update 21 - Disable/Enable Java plugin in all browsers - Repair Disk Permissions - Always use new FF profile - Clear Recent History / Reset Firefox - Clear Java Cache

One additional piece of information is that the jar has mixed code signatures. FF20 prompts the user to "Block / Don't Block" the code from executing, but FF21+ does not.

I have also tried signing the code as well as setting the Java preference to disable mixed code signature verification, without success.

Any other thoughts?

I installed mozilla firefox and I was asked to upgrade it because the version I had installed an outdated version. Once I installed the upgrade,my computer shut down and,after I ran start-up repair, the following root cause came up: bugcheck f4 0x3 0xfffffa80074c5b30 What does that mean and what am I to do to fix it?I tried to restore it to an earlier date but it doesn't work. My operating system is Windows 7(a friend installed it for me and it is genuine) and I have Windows Vista if re-installing the operating system is required. Many thanks.

With FF 19.0.2 a problem has been noticed.

I have an add on (not sure exactly which one - but I think it is fast fox because of the icon style) and if I am on a page with lots of images I can RMB and go to an option "Download page images" and it downloads the images.

Nowadays it doesn't work.

Sorry if this is "annoying" me asking here, but I am not getting any help else where.

After the latest update, if I leave my computer sitting for a while, when I come back and try to click on something in Firefox, nothing happens. Usually I have to come out of Firefox and log in again, which is really irritating if I have a lot of tabs up and I'm called away.

If I want to contact a supplier to complain about a problem with his goods, on his website I find a form "Contact Us". This form usually has mandatory lines for my name, e-mail, address, phone number, etc.which must be filled out. Then the subject matter is supposed to be typed up in the space provided on the Form.

Many times such a Form suddenly disappears from the screen, before my typing is complete. Some of such disappearances are triggered by hitting the "Return" on the keyboard, when I want to start a paragraph. Obviously such a website is set up to understand this button only as "Enter" (because there is no proper "SENT" button) and thus sends the form up line uncompleted.

In any case, it suddenly disappears from my computer. The recipient will have no idea what the incomplete form is really about, and thus will not respond. What is really troubling is that when I go to my FF History and reload the form, or reload from the back-button, the form will only re-appear totally empty, and all my previous typing on the same form is lost.

Is there a way to set FF Preferences to prevent the disappearance of the completed content?

If not, there should be, both to stop the whole thing from happening over and over again, and secondly to provide an e-mail like record of what comment was sent by me.

i like to know if your new updated verion of 21 combatible with norton toolbar because i need the norton toolbar if not then im going to change over to google chrome as my browser and not use firefox anymore.

I love using the add-on, Viewmakrs. It's one add-on I can't live without. Every time when I go to add a bookmark or Control-D, Firefox freezes up, and then gives me:

Warning: Unresponsive script

and I get one of these errors every time, even when I open a new Window:

Can anyone suggest a quick fix without disabling ViewMarks? I've written to the author of ViewMarks with no reply. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank You.

I used the awesome screen to open my Android bookmarks. There is no Desktop Bookmarks folder at the top, or anywhere else. I have sync set up. I checked and saw that there was a sync today. What do I do to get the Desktop Bookmarks on the Droid?

I have reset Firefox a number of times but each time I shut down my computer or switch off the internet connection the problem occurs again.When i open Firefox the search bar at the top right hand side of the screen has Amazon.co.uk and the Firefox search bar in the middle of the screen has no search engine and Im unable to use it for any searches.

I go to a website that requires a Java plug-in. I downloaded the latest update (21) for Java 7 from Oracle but when I go to Add-Ons>Plugins in Firefox 20 the Java plug-in doesn't appear and when I do a search at the Get Add-ons nothing that mentions the Java Plug-in shows up. Where can I get the plug-in required to use with JRE7u21?

Good day to all. My Firefox (upgraded to v21 a few months ago) has been giving me some strange problems. Most of them are just bothersome. The problem I want to ask about is the spell checker. When I right click on a web page, I get the usual menu, but I also get choices that I think are coming from the spell checker. It does not happen all the time, but when it does I will get the correction list (sometimes a long list). The funny thing is, I get this when I right click on text I marked, a web link I right clicked, I even get it when I right click on an empty area of the web page. I tried turning the spell checker off, but the correction list still shows up. Another problem I have is with the control buttons; <Home>, <Page Up>, <End>, and <Page Down>. They will work fine on one page, but not on another page at the same site. Sometimes when I press the <Page Up>, the browser goes to the top of the current page. At one time, I had problems with the Adblock-Plus add-on. I would start Firefox, but Adblock-Plus would be gone. I think I fixed the problem. See the link below. Inadvertantly downloaded add-on called InBox. It now dominates my Firefox browser. Tried to turn it off, which the add-on manager indicates has been accomplished. Yet, it's still there. It's junk. I don't want it. Make it stop.

How can I get rid of it? I'd like to delete Firefox all together and reload it, but can't seem to do that either.

I have Mac OS 10.7.5. HELP.
