Whenever I'm typing my passwords in Facebook,Gmail or anywhere else, the whole password is shown instead of showing dots.

For example,if my password is "abc123",instead of showing ●●●●●● in the password box,it's showing "abc123".

Is there any solution to fix it?

I've updated Firefox last night, but still there's the problem.

I am running Firefox 20 on an LG Optimus Slider with ARMv6 & Android 2.3.4. I moved Firefox to the SD card, but this only moves part of Firefox. The rest remains within Firefox's primary memory (e.g. under /data/data). This directory is 35MB, which is quite large:

   # du -ks /data/data/org.mozilla.firefox/files/mozilla/foo.default
   34777 /data/data/org.mozilla.firefox/files/mozilla/foo.default

Under my profile directory (foo.default), I note that webappsstore.sqlite & webappsstore.sqlite-wal take up a whopping 14MB worth of space. 14MB is huge! How do I reduce this space?

   # pwd
   /data/data/org.mozilla.firefox/files/mozilla/foo.default
   # du -ks * | sort -n | tail
   3549 safebrowsing
   4080 Cache
   4096 webappsstore.sqlite
   6072 adblockplus
   10600 webappsstore.sqlite-wal

I noticed that my phone is not on the supported devices list. When will it be supported? Is there a reason that it's not supported? For the short period it does run I like it better than Chrome or Dolphin for Android. Since it's not supported now how do I completely remove all the extras such as add-ons, sync account and data etc?

I find it almost impossible since the trigger area is so small and a tap on the book icon always brings me to the url page (the place where you edit the url or search something). My workaround now is to turn the phone to the landscape orientation and so the url bar becomes longer, and therefore the icon is easier to be tapped correctly.

I hope you can fix this by enlarging the trigger area or something. Thank you.

On the address bar, when I just type a word, it searches for the word in Google as expected. Let's say I have a local domain, accessible in vpn, say, 'mysite' takes me to 10.10.x.x.

On desktop, when I type, 'mysite', it takes me to the site. On mobile, it searches for the word 'mysite'. I would be okay with this though. But when I try 'http://mysite', it converts it to 'http://mysite.com' which is not my site and I do not intend to visit.

Would someone help me turning this feature off or some work around?

Thanks!

Why does Firefox on Android use so much space and fill up the volume? (App: 24MB. Data: 30MB+)

Summary:

Firefox is using too much space on my Android phone and this is causing problems on my phone such as "Low on space" errors. Android applications are unable to receive security updates due to Firefox's high space utilization, which is a security problem.

Why does Firefox use so much space and how can I prevent or resolve this problem?

Details:

I am running Firefox 18.0 on Android 2.3.4. I moved Firefox to my 8GB SD Card. This problem happens in Firefox 19 & Firefox 20 as well.

Firefox is using a huge amount of space. It is the largest application on my phone by a long shot. It seems that Firefox will grow without bounds until it triggers a "Low on space" warning on the Android device. When this "Low on space" warning is reached, Firefox becomes unstable, and I am unable to install other Android applications. Often applications are unable to update themselves due to Firefox's high space utilization, and cannot receive security updates which is a security problem.

Please see the following screenshot which shows that Firefox is using about 30MB worth of space, and is about twice as large as the next largest App, Google Maps.

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7di3oh1p98bh68v/AoxNuqMKd4/2013.01.20-16.17.40.jpeg

If I go to "Settings: Applications: Storage Use: Firefox", Android tells me that Firefox is using the following amount of space:

   Storage:
   Total: 29.60Mb
   Application: 1.85MB
   Data: 27.76MB
   Cache: 0.00B

When Firefox is freshly installed, the "Total:" use is closer to 3MB. But within a few days, this number grows to 30MB.

Why does Firefox use so much space and how can I prevent or resolve this problem?

I was looking at a first tab on ultimateguitar.com (on Firefox mobile on my nexus 4) when I saw the gray message box appear briefly at the bottom of my screen, telling me "installation complete". I'm wondering what was installed? the site apparently has an app but I didn't accept any installation and no new apps appear to be on my phone. I've also check Firefox for new add ons - none. Could this have just been a background installation of an update to an app I already have?
