I'm trying to sync firefox on my laptop & my iphone, I have lost my recovery key & trying to get a new one. I have a user name & password, but when I follow the directions that I found on another forum, I'm unable to click the link that says "I have lost my other device". All of the other links in the pop-up tab seem to work, but I can't figure out what the "I have lost my other device" doesn't. Anyone with a recommendation?

I had previously downloaded firefox home onto both my laptop and my iPad. After some problems with the app on my iPad I decided to delete the app on my iPad and reinstall it. I did not delete the app on my laptop. I've now downloaded the app on my iPad and am trying to add it as a new device.
After selecting that "I already have a sync account", on both my laptop and iPad, both devices are giving me a passcode and telling me to enter it onto the other device. I'm given no other options.
I'm obviously doing something wrong, can you please tell me what.

When I try to set up a firefox home account I go to "tools", enter "set up a sync " and then enter "create a new account". A window comes up that "email address". As soon as I start to enter my email an "x" shows up followed by "this is an invalid email". What's up?
