When I want to close a website page at the top of the screen, it closes Firefox instead and i have to reopen it. How do I close just the current web page, and not Firefox?

I'm wondering if it's possible to open all the previous session's tabs at startup and also open the homepage(s) at the same time? I've tried fiddling with everything in the general tab but with no success. I couldn't find any solutions on the net either so here I am.

Incase there are other ways to do what I want; the reason I want it is so I can force myself to at least look at the news everyday without losing my previous session's tabs. Silly I know but seems like a simple feature that I might be missing somehow - it would also be useful to always open email etc. that folk tend to open as soon as the browser starts anyway.

If it does exist - how please? xD And if not I might pop it in the suggestions box.

Just this week the feature where you could hover over arrows to the right of search engine results and preview the website has disappeared. Has this feature been discontinued i the latest version of Firerfox or something? And, if so can one revert back to an earlier version to keep this feature, and how? Thanks!

when I downloaded the latest version of Firefox, the Freecorder toolbar disappeared, now I can no longer download videos from you tube. How can I restore it to the Firefox browser?....I used the Freecorder toolbar to download videos from You tube, convert the flv files to mp3 and mpg files that I can use on DVD players and other multimedia players...

For some reason I have lost the space where I would in the put the "subject" of my e-mail. When I click send I am informed that there is no subject, do I still wish to send. I would like to know how I .can get this important space back.

I need your advice. Several months ago Explorer did not make it possible for me to watch videos from Flixxy.com let alone their download. Everything else, worked ok. It kept me asking to download Flush 11. I did that at least 30 times, always successfully and re-started my PC. Did not change a thing! Then I downloaded Firefox and with it I could watch and download Flixxy.com. Five days ago something happened (I forgot what!) and I did uninstall Firefox and reinstalled a new copy. Since then I have a strange outcome: When I start it, Firefox starts with its <Firefox Start Page>. I want Google and I installed it on the usual way and correctly. It comes on, but next time I restart Firefox, their <Firefox Start Page> is the one coming on. Google just does not stay on! Everything else works fine! And if I didn't care with what page they start would be OK: but I want Google! What can you advise me? Why does it happen so? All my anti virus (Norton, Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware don't show any virus. I reinstalled three times Firefox with the same results.I tried to do everything is written in Firefox help. after browsing for a while I want to return to the start page but at the moment there seems to be no way to do this except by continuously and repeatedly going back through the pages I have been visiting one by one whereas in every other browser there is a home button

The freestanding window listing the recent DLs was perfect! Now they've moved it into the Library window, which I'd like to leave set to History, thank you very much! And why does any indication of a download ending have to be up in a different part of the screen to which I usually don't pay attention? Up to v19 the taskbar Firefox button would blink and a box "All downloads have completed" would pop up! That doesn't happen now!

I would like the computer to indicate with a sound of my choice, when an e-mail has arrived. This would be useful when I am working within other programs. I am using the latest version of Firefox.

if a URL ends with '#'(like "http://www.example.com/diamond-diva/p/ds444444#") and press Enter key in addressbar then it does not send request but if i press F5 then it reloads the page. What it is behaving like this ?

I created an account for Firefox on my laptop and it works. But when I try to signin on my tablet, it keeps saying my email needs to be verified but I have not received the email verification. I tried twice to have FF re-send it but it never comes through. Yet when I signed up for the FF support forum, it came right through.

I have already paired and synced the tablet with my laptop but can't login the account profile, etc.

Needed to find a solution to the Firefox Mobile Synching problem and tried to log in to my Mozilla Support account (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US). It would not accept my password that worked before saying that "Accounts created before December 2010 may have issues logging in. Please reset your password below. " Okay, tried to reset password and got this: "We've sent an email to any account using this address. Please follow the link in the email to reset your password." However, no email arrived, after two days and about a dozen of attempts!!!!!! At the same time, I could easily get an email confirmation of my ID and verification that account is active. The only problem is with receiving an email that resets the password.

So, I had to create a new account with a temporary email to use Support - it would not allow me to use my main email address, because "it is used by another account". Thus, my old account is completely locked, and I can not use my email address for a new one. This is not only my problem - I saw other people running into the same trouble. It needs to be fixed soon. At the very least, I need somebody with ADMIN privileges to resend me an email for password reset or delete my old account altogether, so I can use my email again. My old user ID is: TPN49. Thanks.

The ‘Welcome to Firefox’ page that shows up after an update is installed has been coming up when ever I start up Firefox since I did the last update to 18.0.1, several days ago. How do I get it to stop?

when trying to change my password, it goes to a phone number. This phone number has been changed, how can I input it? Would like to reset password for email account to my old password.

Where can I link to my questions from my account? Searching for username gives no results. Some years back, you could subscribe to an RSS feed for a question, yours or others. Is that gone, if so, why? How do you save the question, without saving the text of your question in a document, and copying and pasting it into search? FF version 19.0.2.
