Whenever I use google, which is often since it is my homepage, unless the thing I want to search for is within the first couple of auto-searches that pop up when I'm typing, the auto search will stop and if I press enter or click the search icon Firefox will freeze and I have to shut it down and try again. However, I have no problems when I try it with Firefox in Private browsing.

Hey, recently my firefox had a strange problem, when i click Help and "About Firefox" to see if i need to Apply Updates i always see the "Apply Update" button, naturally i clicked it, Firefox resets but the button remains when i check again instead of saying "Firefox is up to date", when i check the Firefox website it says my version is up to date, i tried uninstalling firefox and reinstalling it again, i tried installing firefox while already having it installed, and the problem remains, however if i run firefox as the administrator it says its up to date, is this a update problem or am i just being overly paranoid?

What does the bar at the top of the page mean that says "Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading"?

I then click "allow" but the message remains at the top of the page.

Is there a way of turning this feature off?

Thank you, Randy

I have the edition 9.0.1 installed on Windows XP home edition, but it opens without the Firefox button appearing in the rectangular box at the upper left of the screen. It does show File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools and Help.
Should I have the Firefox button? Do I even need it?
Thank you.

The text is invisible on 50% of webpages. To solve this I have changed the colours of pages under Content - Colours - Text and Background. On the other 50% of webpages the new colours I have chosen have invisible text (reverting to allowing web page colours fixes this for these pages). So I have to keep reverting back and forth depending on where I go. I am using WinXP SP3. My video card is ATI Radeon EAH 4350 Silent. This has occured for all versions of Firefox since at least 3.0, perhaps older as well.

On this particular page I am typing on right now, leaving it alone will allow me to see everything. If I use my own colours (black background, white text) the text I type in the box is invisible but I can see everything else.

What can I do to not have invisible text and not have to change back and forth?

I have recently decided to take the plunge and have installed two addons but, unfortunately, I can't find one of them on my Firefox's Toolbars, including the addon bar. I thought they would both automatically be added to one or another of the bars. One is on my addon bar but the other is missing although, according to the Addons Manager, it is enabled. Is there something I have to do to be able to add this to either one of my Toolbars, or the addon bar? I use Windows 7 and Firefox 9.0.1

Hello All, My passwords are no longer "auto-filling" the log-in fields as they used to. Could this be a result of my Options/Privacy/Clear History When Firefox Closes setting?? In addition, in the Options/Privacy/Settings/settings for clearing history options I have Browsing History, Download History, Cache and Cookies all checked. Somehow I'm missing something... Many thanks in advance....

Simple problem: 1. Enter a term for Google to search for (either using the installed Google toolbar or via their landing page). 2. Results are returned correctly. 3. However, returned links will not open up in the same search result tab, or within a new tab or new window. 4. Selecting the link in the search results tab does nothing. Firefox appears to make a momentary load attempt before remaining at the same location. 5. Launching the link in a new tab/window returns a long-string Google prefix-based (i.e. www.google...) address in the navigation window of a blank tab/window. 6. Web addresses returned from the search can be copied and pasted into new tabs/windows to load without issue. Normal Google search process using this query works from IE every time.

Test: "Energizer Bunny" Returned Link: www.energizer.com/energizer-bunny/pages/bunny-center.aspx Failed Address: http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=energizer%20bunny&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CDYQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.energizer.com%2Fenergizer-bunny%2Fpages%2Fbunny-center.aspx&ei=ruYyT47cIYHjiALj69XGCg&usg=AFQjCNHg-eabuCQBx6Bv36V9F4pN4tQRYA&cad=rja

Be advised this is not the Google redirect problem that many users have encountered but something different.

My suggestions for future Firefox (and Thunderbird) updates:

Twonky has informed my that Twonky Beam will no longer be updated for Firefox because of the large number of recent updates. I suspect there may be a similar problem with other plugins. Why not save your updates and release them at most every 6 months - as is done with UBUNTU?

The Feedback page did not seem to take my submission - I see others with the same problem.

When I try to send an attachment on my hotmail msn account, the line of options which contains the "Attachment" option briefly appears, then disappears so I cannot do an attachment. It's normally always there when I do a "new" email. I wrote to MSN hotmail windows, and they said to optimize my browser, but I don;t know how to do this. It does work on my other computer and also works on Safari on my Mac. Just doesn't happen on my usual Mac computer with Firefox. So, what to do?? Thanks. DK
