hello, I upgraded from Fx 3.6.23 to 8.0.1 and found the font rendering in context menus to be "wrong" or at least different/changed in 8.0.1 - it is like a bold font, but also slightly pixelated... and quite ugly.

How do I get a normally rendered font in my context menus?

I thought it might be something inside my user profile so I created a brand new profile and still had the same problem.

UPDATE Nov. 28 - I also just noticed that both favicon graphics AND fonts are not rendering correctly (or as they have in past versions of Fx) when I push and hold the the forward and back buttons down.

Babylon has added itself to my Firefox browser as a search engine. So if I type a search term in the URL window, Babylon comes up. I know it is a tracking device and it 'found' me when I used their site for translation. BIG mistake! I have uninstalled it, removed then reinstalled FF and it still is there. How do I get rid of it?

When exiting Firefox I get a message saying you need to close firefox yet I have already exited the application. If I shut down the PC and get back in, Firefox allows me to get back in. If I don't shut down I keep getting the message and cannot get back into Firefox. I have a Dell Inspiron running Vista

I have win7 and I tried to change the text/icon size from the windows to 125%. It also affected everything in firefox (text in tabs, address bar etc., not the text on the pages which you can change with ctrl +/-).I changed it back to 100% and everything became really tiny. How can I make it standard size no matter what zoom I use in windows itself.

Have you had experience from this kind of problem before?

I have a question regarding my web browser (I'm currently using Firefox 8.0.1) and I have an iMac.

On various websites like espn.com and ebay (just to name a few) I’m constantly getting pop up warning windows such as:

This Connection is Untrusted

or

(for example) securepics.ebaystatic.com:443 uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is not trusted.

What do I need to fix/change in Firefox to keep from getting these “pop up” warnings. They are very annoying!

The Page Up, Page Dn keys no longer usually work under 8.0.1 (using Dell laptop w/WinXP, no mouse). I tried changing the touchball 'hack' setting in about:config from -1 to 0, but no change. The 'arrow' keys also seem to be less useful, but I haven't figured out any pattern to those yet.

It is like looking at a plain but contracted text page almost without attributes. There are links but the page is difficult to use. The background picture has disappeared and so has the text Change Background. Existing links do not work. Mozilla pages seem to be working. It might have occured because of a file cleaning operation by CCleaner but it is not sure because there were hours between the occurences. This has happened once before and could not be fixed except by removing the Firefox installation and reinstalling. I have looked through all the possible settings but no luck.

When I try to change one of the dials on speeddial in Waterfox, it won't allow it. It does it ok until I fire up Waterfox and the old dial returns. It's the dial from hell. Help! Thanks

A new tab suddenly opens. The address on the tab reads "redirected to something or another" before the page loads. Windows was recently showing a message that Firefox was "blocking something or another" and I okayed to stop blocking. Since then....mystery sites. Thanks, Bob

Have not upgraded Firefox because get warning of Incompatible Add-on -- ZoneAlarm Security Engine 1.5.350.0 . OS = Windows XP; ZoneAlarm current version; Firefox = v 8.0.1 . Want to upgrade Firefox but concerned about the ZoneAlarm not providing protection. Please advise.

After playing for awhile a Face book game or any other web sites I begin getting an error message that says a busy or unresponsive Script. It has the option of "Continuing" or "stopping" the script When I click to Continue the same error keeps popping up all the time. Same as with clicking on the "Stop" the script option. Script # is https://s-static.ak.facebook.com/rSrc.php/vi/yx/r/LKHquoz1.v.js:5. Why am I getting this error? It's getting really annoying. I hope you can help.

firefox 8.0.1 crash even at start up. I have tried to follow your instructions for windows 7 using this"%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted" but it says object not found.Please help me resolve this.I am not so familiar with computer issues.What can I do?

After updating the files mozcpp19.dll and mozcrt19.dll are not in the Firefox directory, and the startup conversation says it needs them. If I put them in the the startup does not ask for the files but gives an error Procedure entry point NSS_InitializePRErrorTable could not be located in nssutil3.dll

The Web site says "Firefox integrates elegantly with your Windows anti-virus software. When you download a file, your computer’s anti-virus program automatically checks it to protect you against viruses and other malware" MY windows anti-virus software? I have been using IE9 built-in anti-virus software. Now that I've switched to FF, what should I do? Thanks, Al

I want to import bookmarks from Safari on the same Mac computer. Firefox Help says use Menu Bar/File/Import. My Firefox does not have File/Import option. How do I import bookmarks from Safari to Firefox?
