You tube just shows black screen, works fine in internet explorer.

Haven't upgraded or changed versions of firefox or added any plug=ins Im awarer of. Had several automatic updates come through of other programs, such as flash, ect. But I have refused to upgrade firefox due to having to give up screen grab which I love too much to do it, so have stayed with older version.
Had no problem with you tube in the past.

As I stated above, Firefox seems to getting more incompatible with the sites I use it mostly for with each new upgrade. AS a matter of fact, it is rapidly getting to the point where I will soon no longer be able to use the Mozilla Firefox browser. It simply does not process apps correctly at far too many web sites.

I use Firefox 13 with Ubuntu 12.04 in two different computer, a desktop and a netbook. In general I have same extensions and preferences in both PC.

In only one of them I cannot display Google maps anymore (the embedded objects in non-Google site), getting this error popoup (ITA): "Questo sito web richiede una chiave API di Google Maps differente. È possibile generare una nuova chiave all'indirizzo http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html .".

I cannot understand - after googling for a while - if it is a matter of Firefox settings or other OS-related issue (e.g. the java machine).

How do I disable the "Text Enhance" affiliate platform that is present on all my web surfing

When I use the Firefox browser to surf the web, on nearly every web page I visit an invasive advertising platform creates anchor links on the web pages (anchor keywords with two hyperlinks under the anchor word) which when clicked takes the viewer to an advertisement. Most of the links seem to be part of an advertising platform owned by "Text Enhance," which I have contacted to complain about. They sort of played dumb. I said I thought it was the result of some malware from which they were the sole beneficiary and they assured me they didn't instigate it. I went to the Warrior Forum and some members suggested it sounded like it came from one of your extensions or plugins. My security and technology consultant scrubbed my computer and they deleted some of your extensions and plugins and the problem went away. But two weeks later, it's back and it's pervasive. Even words in my online banking accounts are showing these text links.

Aside from security concerns, my biggest fear is that they are stealing traffic from the websites I publish--websites where I'm trying to sell either my own or affiliate products. And that upsets me greatly.

I'm sure I'm not the only web user experiencing this problem. If other web publishers are also getting their traffic stolen and directed to a competing site, you can bet that there will be a class action lawsuit on the horizon for Mozilla. So I suggest you get to the bottom of this situation and rectify it, because a lawsuit will be the inevitable result.

I don't mean to alarm you because I use Firefox as my primary browser. However, I checked IE and Chrome and Chrome is exhibiting the same situation. So I'm not really sure how this is happening, and that's why I'm contacting you about it.

Please let me know if you know how to de-activate this invasive pest.

Regards, Tom O'Boyle toboyle9@yahoo.com

I used to use Firefox 3.6, and finally upgraded to version 7.0.1.

I have like 30+ tabs open, and notice something REALLY obnoxious that my Firefox is doing. I do seem to recall 3.6 having this problem as well, but back then I was able to Google it and disable whatever value was making it do this.

Say I'm on the far left tab. I hit ctrl+t to open a new tab, or even click on a link that pops up a new tab. The tab bar does an animated scroll all the way to the right, which takes a good 2-3 seconds given how many tabs I have open... then if I close that tab, it scrolls all the way back. This scrolling is annoying and I want to disable it!!

I tried using the tab animation setting in about:config, however that only prevents it from showing the tab "grow" to fill the space. When you have tons of tabs open as I do, that's irrelevant. I believe FF3 called this "Smooth Scrolling"? How do I turn this off? I tried looking at about:config under animation, tabs, all sorts of keywords, I can't find ANYTHING relevant!

Even if I'm on the far right tab and open a new one, it makes an animation as if the new tab is "appearing" from the far right of the screen and popping into position. I can understand why some might like this but it really irks me, and I want it turned off!

When I start Firefox the window is invisible. Maximizing it works, but when I try to restore it to the previous size it becomes invisible again.

I've had this problem with other applications and then it was the stored window position that had become corrupted.

I've looked in the registry to see if the window position is stored there, but couldn't find it there.

Myspace says "invalid eail address or PW" I followed directions in "forgot PW" link and changed it but new PW gets same result. BTW I switched to Firefox because Myspace wouldn;t let me in at all without upgrading my browser and I use WIndows XP.

After upgrade to FF7.0.1 (on Win7 Pro-64) I sometimes see a strange behaviour: while downloading a couple of files to the same folder, FF does occasionally change to another download folder - without request. I.e. I save files to folder A, suddenly FF offers me folder B. After choosing back to A, a couple of files later FF offers folder G, and so on. While working 10 - 12 hours with my PC, this happens once or twice a day. It doesn't depend on the file's format, happens with docs, videos, pics, pdfs, zips and other formats.

I'm wondering what you guys are playing at, why the need to update so often? this is crazy. only 11 months ago, we were in version 3, now we are in version 7?? what is going on? the software is not that different, to warrant a major version update. I'm merely expressing my shock here at how you have changed it, but on to a more serious concern. that is add-ons. it seems to me that by making a major release, you are making it very difficult for the add-on makers. I have noticed that there is becoming less useful add-ons for firefox and the good ones are getting abandoned because they can't keep up. don't you think you should slow it down a notch? sure, I think development goes on at a normal rate, but see if you can find a way to impliment important security updates without messing up all the add-on codes? and without making a major version update! we went from 6 to 7 and what changed in terms of functionality? I honestly don't know because i saw no real big difference.
