I keep getting demands to update my version of firefox every time I wake up my computer, but I use a Power PC and the newest version isn't compatible. Please, either create a version that will work with OS 10.5.8 or fix the updater so it does a comparison between the OS of the host and the system requirements of the update. I know you should be able do it because you have the full details of my PC listed below. Otherwise, I'll probably give up firefox because of the nuisance value! Sorry

In order to open say both my gmail and facebook, I have to go to my desktop and open firefox 2 times in order to run both items. Firefox wont let me open a new tab myself, but if I click on a link in a window I have opened then a new tab will open. Its very strange, any advice??

I am used to having a live news feed on my Mozilla home page. I went from 3.6.16 to v 4 and it is gone. I don't see how to find it again. Why must upgrades put us through all this? (another question I realize) I prefer the look of v3.6.16 so went back to it but it remains gone. Any help appreciated, I'll go back to v4 if I can add this back in. TIA.

On Firefox 4, how can I put one "new tab" on the "tab bar" (The + sign) and one next to the "back/forward" buttons (as in FF 3.6)?

In my current Firefox, the "new tab" icon/item from the "customize" pop-up window menu of items is placed next to my home, back, forward buttons near the top-left of my header (Button 1 for "new tab"). Then, the tab bar automatically come with a small tab (with a + sign) to the right of your last tab opened (so you click on + and a new tab opens. Button 2 for "new tab"). I like to have this "new tab" button twice (as a + mini tab, and next to my "home icon".

When I upgraded to Firefox 4, I seemed to be only able to "customize" or use the "new tab" in one place. Either as an icon next to home button, or as a "+ minitab", but NOT both.

What can I do to put this button in Firefox 4 on BOTH places???

Your help is really appreciated. I want to upgrade, but I want my buttons on both places...

I upgraded to FF 4, but downgraded again just because this feature... that's just me of coarse :-)

If a webpage has been replaced using the back button listing only 'Custom Search' is available. Please advise on stopping this very annoying problem.

I tried to upgrade to 5.0 when it firsst came out. I checked the system requirements, which I thought I'd met:

Mac OSX 10.4 + Intel

When I tried, the program wouldnt run at all on my computer, so I was forced back to 3.6.16.

I want to upgrade, but it seems I cant.

Firefox version 3.6.16

Bookmarks-->Organise Bookmarks ---> Import & Backup ---> Restore

How do I delete the list there ? I dont want Firefox to have any bookmarks backup saved

I am running XP and Firefox 3.6.16. Problem started in middle of day, nothing else that I can point to that might have triggered it. Have restarted and that doesn't work either. Doesn't seem to have affected other sites.

Want to read more details? Search Firefox Help with the phrase "Smooth Scrolling" and read many entries of frustrated users. Marketing for FF 4 is great, but the reality is poor. I'll go for a different browser if FF is not significantly improved soon. The last version was much easier to use. Access to features and several Add-Ons has become less easy with the new version, some are now almost unmanagable. Everything is overloaded in too few places and bars. Who said that the layout and bars of Android or IE were better than those in FF 3???

I am a frequent user of BBC radio via the net. The BBC has re-vamped its player and this afternoon [01 04 11] I tried listening to Radio 7 and then Radio 4 to check. The listening panel showed up but there was no sound either on listen live or on 'listen again'. I am now listening to R7 live via Safari.

I have not had problems before with Firefox and the BBC
