Typing: firefox "/home/user/document.htm#bookmark" places file:///home/user/document%23bookmark in the path. Yet the error message says "Firefox can't find the file at /home/user/document#bookmark." So it gets the path right for the error message but wrong for the path. If I go to the path in firefox window and replace the "%23" with the "#" the file loads correctly at the expected bookmark.

For the past couple of days Firefox always redirects to a blank page when I try to visit any page on www.kongregate.com. When I use IE tab on the blank page it comes up with the url "wyciwyg://#/www.kongregate.com" where # is a number that changes occasionally. I've tried deleting my Firefox cache and uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox with no success. Kongregate.com is the only site I know this to happen on and this is the first time I've seen it do this before. It was fine two days ago and I haven't installed a new add on in months.

It's been about a week since I last manage to download from Mediafire. When I click on a Mediafire link, the download link does not show although the page has finish loading. Refreshing the page repeatedly does not help and I've tried the solution to delete all cookies as stated on a similar thread (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/1/673873) but it doesn't work either. After deleting all the cookies, clicking on the Myfiles link brings me to Mediafire's main webpage instead. Are there any ways to solve this? =( Please help!

I use Windows 7 64bit. What version of JRE should I use the 64bit or the 32bit version? What about the Java plug-in in the 64bit version of JRE? Do I need it in Firefox to use Java?

I did not upgrade for a long time and was probably on a 2.x release of some sort but last month I finally upgraded to 6.x and ever since Gmail and Pandora have told me my browser is out of date. I can still use Gmail but Pandora will not load anything.

I have cleared my cache and I have removed cookies but I still get the same error message.

I am using features that were introduced in version 6.x but even this site believes I'm using 3.5.9.

If I have to uninstall and reinstall, how can I do that without losing all of my saved passwords and other information?

Firefox has gotten extremely slow. Typing, loading, searching, even just scrolling from the top of a page to the bottom. My daughter had the same thing happen to her and had to get her computer stripped down and completely reloaded. I don't have that option. It has no viruses and has been completely freed of all things that could slow it down.

I have no idea how to even find out if my Active X (whatever that is) is enabled, much less enable it if it isn't. According to the info I'm reading, I have Windows XP with Firefox version 3.5.9

The past week, every time I click on anything - an e-mail in gmail, something on a website I want to go to, the arrow to scroll on a page, the Mac colorwheel comes on and it takes forever. I finally got so frustrated I switched back to my old Safari. But this is a new problem, and I didn't do anything to the computer to cause it. My internet connection is fine (cable) as Safari works great. So what's going on? (I have version 3.5.9)

It used to work fine but for about a 8 months now I get no audio with streaming videos. I have no problem playing videos I have downloaded. I sometimes get audio when streaming from a DIVX site like Stagevu.

When I print a Yahoo email, the text does not wrap (it used to) so part of the text is cut off. Also, the side bar that list my Inbox, Drafts, Sent, etc is printed out along with the email - it didn't used to and because of that, there is not enough room for all of my email. I tried resetting it to Shrink to Fit, but that didn't help; also tried changing the print setting from 100% to 60% but it still doesn't fit on the page.

When I click on Firefox the first time it says "Foxfire is installing your updates and will start in a few moments…. (with a green bar)" then it says "Software Update Failed (in blue) with an exclamation mark inside a yellow triangle) The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again." When I click the ok, Firefox opens up. If I open another Firefox window with the previous one still running, it doesn't give me any of these messages, it just opens normally.

Error message 0x1005a4a referenced memory 0x00000024. The memory could not be read. Click ok to terminate program. This message appears everytime I quit firefox. I have uninstalled and re-installed firefox and the message is still appearing. Please advise

I know how to clear my cache so that it doesn't load up with old email addresses, however I would like to know what to shut off so that I have to fill out forms each time. It can remember some delicate information at times and I would like that to stop, not just keep happening as soon as I fill out a new form. Thanks!
