My mac crashed and after reinstalling a fresh OSX & applications, I went to reinstall my last computer backup (I clone my laptop on a monthly basis) and there was no *.JSON file at all in any of my libraries.

Over the last day whatever information i request an advert comes up called cars4all.biz to wich i cannot get rid of help please to rid me of this item

I have an environment where I open a number of windows for my application to specific locations on the desktop. The "help" features will open a Firefox browser instance with an appropriate local url. What I would like to do is specify the same initial starting location and size for the browser window upon startup.

Is this possible through a configuration or command line option? Is it possible to "lock" the position information that is saved on browser exit? I have tried the starting the browser specifying "-height nnn -width nnn" on the command line but this does not seem to do anything.

I have updated to Firefox 9.0.1 on two occasions. I am still receiving messages from Firefox and Mozilla among others requesting me to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox in order for my system to function. When I do a Help>About Firefox, it shows that I am using version 9.0.1. What additional steps are required in order for other applications, including Firefox, to recognize that I am using version 9.0.1? Thanks. Rory

Updated Firefox to Ver.8.0.1 ,Firefox recognizes it as such under the Help/About menu. When I tried to install a AddOn, (Which supports Ver. 8.0.1), the AddOn recognizes the Firefox Ver. as 3.5.7 Furthermore I just noticed on this page down below where it says you have made an educated guess about my browser and O/S. This page also recognizes the Firefox Ver. as 3.5.7 So I go to the help/About menu and it says I'm running Ver.8.0.1 Am I missing something?

I have downloaded this twice and tried to install it three times, but each time I try to go to the new version, various websites including yours say I'm using the old version. What is the problem?

I have an old version of Firefox - Version 3.5.7.

I am trying to update to the current version. As part of the update, the system is first loading all of the intermediate versions.

I started the update 4 hours ago. It is still running. Most of the time, it has been downloading version 3.6.18. I am letting it run.

Is there any other way to get the most recent version?

its as if my account has been blocked to an extent that am able to sign and log in but cannot read the emails. i.e if i click on an email its not opening or responding in the inbox although i have stayed for about 3 weeks without using and sendind/receiving emails

I have upgraded to to Firefox 8.0.1 but a number of sites including Googmail think I have an old version. On this site I get warnings about having 3.6 which is about to have its support discontinued but I stopped using 3.6 years ago.

Opening the "educated guesses" section below it thinks i have Firefox 3.5.7 and Windows XP when I actually have Firefox 8.0.1 and Windows 7. Hmmmm :)

I have updated (more than once) to Firefox Version 8.01. When I check Firefox Help:About, it confirms the version number and indicates that this is the current version. On Google, however, when I try to use G-Mail or +Google, gives me a message that my version of Firefox is no longer supported (and provides a link to download the current version). Additionally, Firefox itself, when I tried to use the Help:Submit Feedback menu option, indicates that I cannot use that option until I have first upgraded to the current version. Apparently, although I have upgraded, there is some marker or indicator that has not been updated from a previous version to indicate to websites which version of this browser is running on my machine. I would like to get this resolved, as it is keeping me from doing a few things I would like to do. By the way, I just looked at the dialog box below, following the comment "we've made some educated guesses about your current browser ..." it, too, indicates that my current version is 3.5.7.

Mozilla tells me Firefox updates are (can be?) automatic. They don't seem to be for me. I'm getting notices all around that my browser is outdated, but Mozilla tells me I can't support the newest Firefox. What version can I update to, and where can I get it?...or...what's wrong?

I decided to update my FireFox after a long stint of not using it. Now i am browsing through the add ons and each time i try to install an add on i get an error telling me that i am using an outdated version of FireFox and need to update. i am currently running 6.0.2 and the Add-Ons manager is telling me i am running 3.6. i even uninstalled and reinstalled and same problem.

I am trying to switch from IE8 to Firefox but am having trouble adding all of the toolbars I use daily to Firefox. I want to add CouponBar from Coupons.com, Roboform (which it said was added, but is not showing up), Adobe Contribute CS3, and Canon Easy-Web Print EX (for my Canon MX340 printer). Please advise!

I'm taking college courses online and when I go to the Blackboard site, the lettering is super small. While the school suggests Firefox for taking tests, and any other time in which time is important, I can't read anything without a BIG magnifying glass. I have another browser installed and it doesn't have this problem. I wonder if I've done something accidentally that resulted in this appearance.

My vista 64 operating system crashed. When I reinstalled the operating system, my old firefox settings were saved in a "window.old" folder. My old firefox profile folder was saved in the "wondow.old" folder. Having reinstalled firefox, is there anyway to recover my old settings (bookmarks, extensions, plug-ins, etc.)

I currently have "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately." unchecked. Despite this, the browser continues to switch to the tab upon opening, which has proved to be quite annoying when opening multiple tabs. I've checked it, and unchecked it again in hopes that it will reset

I was searching for a certain photo using Google and when tried to open one of the results i got this hxxp://supportff .co .cc/ where the page offers me to update Firefox. I was suspicious and decided to report it here. It doesn't look like legitimate site, but I'm not too experienced with this subject.

Hello, I bought Asus G73JH-TZ008V full HD 17. I have a big problem of displaying all web sites: all the web sites display in reduced size of -30% around. I have the same problem with Google Chrome but not with Internet Explorer!!!!!???

What could i do? ASUS suport says it's a Mozzila bug!!
