from a while i accepted by mistake on some certificate that allowed ads to be in every site i log on. The ads under the name (Ads not by this site). I tried the malware and the ordinary antivirus but nothing work. And i really want to get rid of it. thanks

My Imac is version 10.8 snow leopard. I tried to import bookmarks from Safari to Firefox but import data from another browser is greyed out, even though private browsing is turned off. I also created an .html file for my bookmarks no problem but when I import this file to firefox, no bookmarks appear. I checked the file in a plain text editor for any folded files but none existed. Can anyone help me solve this problem. It seems the easiest solution would be if the IMPORT DATA FROM ANOTHER BROWSER button was functional. thanks.

When trying to print in Firefox, and when scaling the page size in page setup, the first page prints correctly, but subsequent pages do not scale correctly and are too large for the paper, with parts of the text are being cut off at the top and right. This is not fixed by checking or un-checking the "ignore scaling/shrink to fit page width" in the print window, or by changing the scaling%.

I am running Firefox 15.0.1, on Mac OS 10.5.8.

The same problem happens in the print preview and if I save the print as a .pdf

I have tried all the fixes in the how to's and others in various forums with no improvement.

This happens every time I try to print a document scaled up or down only in Firefox.

After trying out a little utility, I got stuck with the Babylon toolbar and home page.... Yes... I didn't spot the little checkpoint to disable installation... Without any problems, I managed to remove all that... But since then, I can't get my home page to stay set to about:blank.... it keeps starting with the Google search page. I did manage to link the homepage button to about:blank, but when I add a new page (by clicking the + next to the most right tab) I keep getting the Google search page... Thanks in advance. Lody J. Firefox 15.0.1 "Remember my browsing and downloads history" In previous versions they were separate check boxes.

I tried "about:config" : "browser.download.panel.removeFinishedDownloads" changed to "true" but it didn't seem to do anything. Not sure if that is the correct variable too.

Since I have Windows 8 the tab bar is twice as big. I have 32 bit Windows 8 and an Nvidia Graphics card (NVS 140m) I didn´t have this problem under Windows 7. I tried ff 15 and 17.

PDF files not downloaded or displayed i Firefox in version 15.0.1. A white blank page is just displayed. This is reported back to me from many users and not just on my computer.

There is a long line of displays at the bottom of the Firefox screen, all starting with "div#" or "iframe.rr" or "html" or "body" --- at the far right is a rectangular box with the word "Style" and an "x" right beside it. The x will not close this bar even though it says "close inspector."

On the far left of the bothersome string is a gear/sprocket icon that is for "inspector options" which, when clicked, offers "dim the node" or "show node info." I don't want a "node" or even know what it is. I would just like this display bar along the bottom of the Firefox page to be gone.

The symbol in the middle of the bar is a box with an arrow in it and two small round cylinders on top.

If I right click on the bar and inspect element it returns object#SCB_Bar Then if I copy inner HTML element it gives me this info.

I have tried every option under all of the "Help" articles in order to find my missing bookmarks ('Favorites') from IE, and nothing has worked. When I tried "Import from IE", it loaded a list of Favorites at least a year old. I cannot find the current bookmarks which are stored in the folder "From Internet Explorer". When I click on the bookmarks icon (star) in the upper right corner, the menu no longer displays the option to select "From Internet Explorer". The only thing I have not tried is the "Restore" option available in the library window under "Import and Backup": I don't know which of the files listed would be the correct one, and the instructions caution that whatever file(s) are chosen now will replace the earlier file. I don't want to accidentally erase all of my stored bookmarks (hundreds of them), and be left with only the bookmarks that I've saved just recently - I also don't want to end up with an outdated (old) set of Favorites.

whenever i opened a new tab, it used to open directly to the "new tab" page, the one with the thumbnails of your popular sites and such. but recently, instead of showing this, new tabs have been directly opening to the firefox home page instead. could someone help me get it back to opening to the new tab page, rather than the home page? my PC keeps trying to download files from chrome. I am told by Trend Micro that this is a Mozilla download and they do not know how to stop it.

Basically what I want is for these download attempts to stop as I do not want Chrome on my PC.

So can you say how to stop it or give me a batch file that will stop it.

It happens just about every three or four minutes and I am frankly fed up with it so if you want me to keep using Firefox and Thunderbird please tell me how to stop it.

I want to set the new tab page as my homepage. That is, I want it to show up when I open firefox and when I click the home button. I'm not sure if this is within the current scope of firefox.

I have a website for my bowling club. When I update for instanse a result file it does not appear correct - it is the former file that is shown. It does not help to restart Firefox or delete the file (yes if I try to open it then I got the usual error message) BUT if I upload the actual file again and then try to open it Firefox still shows the old one. This is no problem in MSIE or Chrome. ??? from ganitaa

I have tabs and a plus sign for a new tab. When I click to get a new tab, I just get a tab labeled New Tab and on the screen I see mini-screens of commonly visited sites. There is nowhere to put a url address.

I bookmark URLs using FIREFOX's BOOKMARK THIS PAGE feature. However, when I try to reuse the pages by clicking on the BOOKMARK, FIREFOX loads a different page from my BOOKMARKS. This happens all the time.

I want my TABS below the addres bar, there is no option for "tabs on top" anymore and I simply want them below the address bar. My y580 still has the tabs below but my asus g75vw has the tabs on top and the tabs on top" option is not there. WHat can I do?
