From the bookmark toolbar I can't sign out using the Yahoo "sign out" icon anymore. Deleting cache & cookies didn't help. I always use my own PC. Any help is appreciated. Thanx.

When I try to download the newest version of Firefox, I get a message saying that Firefox needs and "item not in use". It doesn't identify the item. How do I find and get the right item?

In the past by typing in a letter or two the name of the addressee would appear and by clicking it the address would be recorded for sending message. It quit working and I would like to know how to get it to work again. Help!!!

On the Privacy tab in Options the check box for Accept cookies from sites is unchecked. I pressed the Exceptions button and added many websites to accept cookies from and clicked Allow for Session on each one. Sometimes I go to a website where I have to sign in with a username and password and the site states that my browser is refusing to accept cookies even though I had added the site to the exception list. When I check the exception list, the status of the exception has changed from Allow for Session to Blocked. I have found several exceptions change on their own from allow to blocked and some even have changed again after I changed them back. What could be causing the exceptions to change and is there some way to make the settings persistent?

Suddenly my browser will not allow me to open a blank tab. If I go to help or something like that a new tab will open however, clicking "open a new tab" does absolutely nothing. I have done nothing out of the ordinary to cause this as far as I can tell.

I was thinking I might be able to put a copy the profile from my desktop on my laptop, then open it to see the browsers matched; exactly. But that wouldn't help to keep them matched.

I have sync set up but that doesn't seem to make Firefox on both machines seamless; ie look and behave exactly the same.

So while I enter my FF password fairly often, I don't appreciate what it's doing; I don't see the results of the sync in the way the two look or act.

"Getting Started" page for Firefox 16.0.1 has a video window that plays audio only. Firefox test page for plugins shows RealPlayer, Flash, Flip4Mac and Java are up to date. What other video plugins are required. I'm currently using Firefox 10.0.2 and I'm not inclined to update unless I have good reasons to do so.

Briefly noticed there had been an automatic restart of my laptop Tuesday morning, then was unable to access this website, which is my business email and I am home following back surgery. Please help, I need access!

I have been running FF 10.0.2 for a while, and was just told by a website that I needed to have FF 14 or FF 15 running. I have always had auto update turned on, but evidently, it is not working. I've now been "checking for updates" on the update channel, with no results after being connected for over 1/2 hour.

All suggestions appreciated -- I would simply download and install the latest version, if that will not eradicate my existing data.

I have a "Secure Connection Failed" problem accessing a HTTPS site. It is of this type:

Your certificate contains the same serial number as another certificate issued by the certificate authority. Please get a new certificate containing a unique serial number.

(Error code: sec_error_reused_issuer_and_serial)

Even in Safe Mode with all add-ons disabled, I can't load Disqus comments on any site. I have also tried enabling third-party cookies and pop-up windows and made sure all my plug-ins are up to date. I don't know what else to try.

I get the message "DISQUS seems to be taking longer than usual. Reload?". When I reload I get the same message again after a few seconds. Sometimes the comments will flash on the screen for an instant and then disappear.

This is on Mac OS 10.6.8.

My Firefox browaer starts with searchnu rather than Google. When I try to reset it it says that the searchnu tool bar has not allowed the change to take place. How do I step by step remove this malware program. My pc tools won't remove it

This is only a recent problem in the last three or four days but when I respond to a REPLY email or compose a new email neither the return address will appear under FireFox nor will address lookup appear. The list of email addresses cannot be found under this product BUT is found instantly under Internet Explorer. Do you have a work-around?

Though it works on my other thinkpad (which is identical to this one), yet when i try dragging website Favicons to the overhead toolbar on this thinkpad to use as a shortcut, a circle with a diagonal line displays, and when I try dropping it on the toolbar, a new tab opens up, instead of displaying the mozilla.org Favicon.

So why does it work on my other identical thinkpad, but not on this one? I had bought both of them used. Obviously, some factor on this thinkpad isn't allowing it. Note that this laptop has AVG as antivirus, instead of MSE, and may also have other software differences.

When I load Mozilla Firefox I get a pop up window in the right hand side of the screen that asks me to install Google Chrome. How can I stop this from appearing. I have Google as my home page, and also have Chrome installed on my comp.

I'm only updating Shockwave Flash because the plugin page says to do it; otherwise I have no problems. The sequence of updating problems I am having is different from that described by others: 1) Checked for plugin updates: Shockwave Flash 11.1 r102 was highlighted as "Vulnerable" with red UPDATE NOW. 2) Clicked on Update Now and was prompted to download Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.62 (not Shockwave Flash); Ran downloaded .exe file to install; Closed Firefox during install as requested and installation completed. 3) Opened Firefox; Checked plugins and now saw notice that Flash Player version was out-of-date and disabled. 4) As test, played a youtube video; Clicked on prompt at top of screen for "missing plugin"; Update self-executed, requested closing Firefox, and completed installation. 4) Opened Firefox; Checked plugins and once again saw that Shockwave Flash needed UPDATE NOW (as described in #1 above). Adobe Flash Player is not listed anywhere in the plugin list. So now I'm back to where I was before, wondering if I really am vulnerable due to this version of Shockwave Flash.

I don't know why, my Firefox can't be Click at the Top, under The Toolbar.. When I click, appear 'Add/edit button, Change toolbar layout, Refresh Toolbar' What should I do now??

I was told that this "search-results" are due to a malware program called "searchqu". I've deleted everything about searchqu from my computer, I've run mal-ware scans, and virus scans, and I have gone into the about:config to do google's start page. I just want the original firefox start page back because it has the restore session button and USED TO have google as the default search engine. Please help.
