When I click on the bookmarks button, I would like the contents of my bookmarks toolbar to be shown right away , instead of having to hover over "bookmarks toolbar." I had it that way before with shiori, but that no longer works.

I am running Mozilla Firefox 20.0.1 under Windows 7 Ultimate. I am trying to import bookmarks from Internet Explorer 9.0.15. If the bookmark has a subdirectory, I don't get any of the links in the subdirectory.

This has not happened on my other computers: Internet Explorer 8 under Windows XP Professional Internet Explorer 9 under Windows 7 Professional

I just upgraded to Windows 8 and loaded Firefox 18 - I imported my bookmarks HTML file and the bookmarks on the left display either garbage or the wrong title until I mouse over them. They then display correctly unless I mouse over them again. My tabs display bookmark titles until I mouse over them.

made a huge mess of things but long story short, I do subscribe to a cloud-based backup service and yet all I can seem to find is my .htm file of my bookmarks (the correct file only contains bookmarks from AFTER I skillfully wiped out my hard drive, which is useless to me).

For the last day or so, I've been unable to open a bookmark in a new tab by right-clicking and selecting Open in a New Tab. All of the proper options show up on the menu, but the entire menu is grayed out and unavailable. This is only true for my bookmarks. If I right-click on a link, the context menu shows up properly and works correctly.

From the bookmark toolbar I can't sign out using the Yahoo "sign out" icon anymore. Deleting cache & cookies didn't help. I always use my own PC. Any help is appreciated. Thanx.

I am trying to get bookmarks from Flash Peak Slimbrowser. And how do you get bookmarks to work. I imported some from explorer and they do not show up. like they are not there but when i import them it tells me it was complete. thx

Just upgraded from XP to Win 7. In past, clicking on "show all bookmarks" opened bookmarks list which persisted until closed. Now, the list disappears as soon as I do anything else. Firefox 20.0.1. How do I make the list persist so I can work on the bookmarks without losing the page every time? "Persist" would include adding an icon to the tray.

In the past, I was able to add up to 15 bookmarks, but when I downloaded Firefox for my new laptop in January, and moved my files from my old computer, this folder only shows 10, and I can't find where to change it.

Since getting in to the habit of better organizing my bookmarks, I have bookmark folders that are up to three levels deep.

How can I save a bookmark to a specific folder without having to use the mouse or click "Choose..."?

It would be nice if there were a way to just type it, with folder suggestions coming up. I.e. I would be able to hit Ctrl+D, type the name, hit tab, and type Classes\303\HW to have it bookmark to that folder. Right now, I can only bookmark to recently used folders with the keyboard.

I know this can be done with the mouse, but I am looking for a fast way with the keyboard, possible with a plugin of some sort.

There is a bug in bookmarks. I use Firefox 19 one one Mac and firefox 20 on another. Whenever I arrange my bookmarks into the relevant folders using the "bookmarks manager" (i.e., manual sort), every few minutes bookmarks manager freezes and does not respond. This freeze manifests through things like -- not being able to scroll up or down, not being able to move files into a particular folder and so on. Its frustrating... as I constantly have to wait till it unfreezes. It happens every single time! Have tried disabling any add-ons that could have been issues, but it hasn't helped....

I have been using firefox since you began. few months ago decided to add nightly to my laptop. just today decided to uninstall as I seldom use it. Now I find I have lost everything including my bookmarks, these are extremely important to me. how do I get them back.?

I would enter various notes in the Properties Window of Bookmarks I have had for years. I would go to Bookmarks, find the bookmark, right click for Properties. the Properties Window s would appear, with the Name, the url, Tag, and a Description window. Now when I right click Bookmark, no Properties window appears. I am able to get to this Properties window via the Bookmark Toolbar, but not by using the Bookmark drop down.

I have a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.5.7, and an iPad 2 running iOS 6.1.3. On the MAC, I have Firefox for MAC v 19.0.2 and Safari 6.0.3 On the iPad, I have only Safari for iPad. I always use Firefox as my browser for the MacBook, but there is no Firefox app for the iPad.

My Safari bookmarks automatically update from the MacBook to the iPad, but not from Firefox to the iPad. Is it possible for the automatic update to be made from Firefox instead of Safari to the iPad Safari.app? If not, is there an easy way on the MacBook to keep the Safari bookmarks up to date with the Firefox bookmarks, so that the iPad shares my Firefox bookmarks?

If not possible now, are you planning to make this possible for MAC users who also have an iPad?

when I click on the bookmarks icon it opens the bookmarks menu on the left-hand side of the screen but I want to be able to just list the bookmarks in the centre of the screen underneath the bookmarks icon. I used to be able to do this but since resetting Firefox I have not been able to.

I have my bookmarks up but want to make them shorter, with less of a title. For instance, instead of saying, "chartway federal cred..." I just want it to say, "chartway". is there a way to do this?
