Information is stored on other websites just fine, and I have been able to log on to my YouTube account through Internet Explorer 8. However, when I click the 'Sign In' button on YouTube, I keep getting an error message that reads,

"The page isn't redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."

I have tried changing the security settings, and I made sure that cookies were allowed. I've tried clearing the cache, and even resetting Firefox entirely. None of this has worked.

If anyone could help me with this I would be so grateful. Firefox runs so much faster on this laptop than Internet Explorer, for some reason, and I hate having to open a separate window with it to watch YouTube videos.

I get pop ups saying 21 is out dated , is this true or is this an evil program trying to get me to down load a nefarious product or virus. I close it and look for up dates at Mozilla directly but find nothing newer than 21

I have recently installed FireFox for the 1st time - v21. A web page I use frequently does not completely load - the static information is displayed, but the weather data is missing. I made Bing my browser and it was working fine until today. When I open Firefox I get a message Ref A: and then a long string of characters. I click on the home icon and the string changes. After doing this several times I get the Bing search page. I do not get the Firefox start page with the tool bar that has my book marks, history etc. I cannot clear the cache if I cannot not get the history tab. If I go the the mozilla firefox program folder and open it, there is a tool bar but cannot clear recent history, etc. there. I do not have an administrator & password on my home desk top; it is just me. I tried to follow your suggestions, but they do not apply to my situation. I really don't know if this is a firefox or bing problem. I used google before bing and had no problems; just wanted to try bing.

Web pages are taking about 60 to 120 seconds to load. I am using Firefox 18, Windows XP. I have tried resetting Firefox and starting with all add-ons and extensions disabled. (safe mode) No difference. I do not have the problem with Chrome or IE, so it's not the connection. Thanks for suggestions not found currently on support site. I have exhausted them.

Is the latest Java 7 update 17 safe to enable now? I noticed after updating, it was still disabled, but no longer blocked in red by Firefox. My assumption is that it's safe, since not "in the red" currently. However, I'd like to be sure before I re-enable it. Thanks!

I have a number of add-ons all of which are disabled and which I would like to remove. Unfortunately there is no remove button.

I have read the FAQs and community help which tells me that if there is no remove button then the add-ons are there through being added globally by other software. However on of the add-ons that I want to remove is Google Toolbar for Firefox - how could that have been added by another application?

Any suggestions gratefull received.

I have tried malwarebytes, adaware, revo, superantispyware, etc. nothing will get rid of whitesmoke. I even uninstalled firefox and re-installed it. I have IE and it doesn't have whitesmoke, I downloaded Chrome and it doesn't have whitesmoke. I guess I will use other browsers until I can fix this.

I tried to disable javascript and it facebook worked. The problem is no button was clickable, I can't post anything, in short, I can't do anything. I have to force close firefox whenever this happens. According to my firefox, I have the latest version. I also tried uninstalling and installing it again, I tried disabling the plugins or run it in safemode but nothing seems to solve it. This problem just happened after I deleted some compressed old files from my C drive.

THE TASKBAR NO LONGER APPEARS WHEN FIREFOX IS OPEN. I HAVE NO WAY TO SEE OPEN WINDOWS. I HAVE NO DATE/TIME, ETC. ALSO THE LOCATION BAR IS GONE SO I HAVE NO WAY TO ENTER NEW URLS. IT IS JUST THE CONTENT FILLING THE WINDOW. I HAVE WINDOWS XP SERVICE PACK 2 I THINK. RESTORE THE TASKBAR!!!!!

I am running Firefox 19.0.2 on Windows XP (SP3). As a part of my KASPERSKY INTERNET Security 2013 the following add-ons (all version 13.0.1.4250) are installed (a) Kaspersky URL Advisor (b) Content Blocker (c) Safe money and (d) Virtual keyboard . They were all enabled and active when the KIS was installed on 17-2-2013 but a subsequent update of Firefox has disabled them all. I want that Firefox should update itself only if all the existing add-ons are compatible with it, else the existing version should continue unchanged. How do I achieve this? What is the last version of Firefox that is compatible with these add-ons?

Missing "reset firefox" option in troubleshooting information page, Firefox portable 17.0.1. I have problems of excess resources used by Firefox unexplained. I tried to use the reset option but can not find on page "Troubleshooting Information". Much appreciate your attention. thanks

I do not understand why this is happening, I took my computer the the Geek Squad and to Staples and they both told me it was the soft ware,( Fire Fox) not my computer , I keep it up to date, I also run virus checks on my whole system. My Adobe Acrobat plugin has been whining and complaining for ages, showing itself as yellow and outdated on the plugin check page, and saying that it's vulnerable. Before opening a pdf document, I reach a dark page where I have to click to activate the plugin.

Fortunately, the mozilla plugin check page is kind enough to give me a handy yellow button right next to the outdated plugin, that will let me update it. That handy yellow button leads me straight to the download page for Adobe Reader 11. I must have installed that guy hundreds of times by now, and Adobe Acrobat plugin still refuses to hear anything, and still claims to be vulnerable and outdated. I would really like to find a way to persuade Acrobat to be up to date.

I normally have Firefox set up to have 5 pinned tabs and 2 or 3 saved tabs from the previous session of Firefox. Since I updated to version 19 FF, I lose 1 pinned tab each time FF is started. I have tried the fixes suggested regarding the sessionstore.js file corruption issue, checked to make sure Firefox "Will Remember history" is selected, used the File>Exit to quit FF. Each time I start up Firefox, I am missing a pinned tab (not all of them, just one). I started with 5 and I can exit, then start up FF and only 4 pinned tabs are opened. Repeat, and only 3 are opened, etc. If I have a normal tab opened when I exit, it's saved & opens the next time FF starts, so it seems opened tabs are being saved, but the pinned tabs are being closed. Also, it's always the second pinned tab that is lost (counting from the left). When there is only one pinned tab left, the next time I restart FF, one normal tab is closed. Each start after that will close another normal tab until only one pinned tab is left (the left most pinned tab). I haven't tried restarting FF with only the single pinned tab, but the bottom line is that I lose 1 saved tab each time I exit and re-start FF. Anyone else see this behaviour or have suggestions to fix?
