I want to use the QuickTime plugin for Firefox, but version 7.1 is blocked, and version 7.2 doesn't support Windows 2000.

I'm fine with running 7.1; the risk is very small, and I'm willing to accept it. Or does someone have another solution?

Running Firefox version 3.6.3, and this browser is blocking my accessing Google.com. AOL/Yahoo and Msn.com I can log on to, but every time I try to go to Google.com I get Google.co.uk very annoying, and it is limiting my web searches.

I have just downloaded UK version from http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/ . My homepage shows Japanese text only - I am currently in Japan so I assume Firefox shows Japanese by default - but I want English. How to make it default to English? Is there a way I can delete a security exception that I added? I tried to order from a website whose security certificate had expired, and I decided to add the exception on my laptop, and then wasn't able to order from the site anyway. I've not had any problems with my laptop, but I would feel better if I knew the exception had been deleted. I wasn't sure which menu I needed to use to delete it, if it's even possible. I have no idea why I thought adding the exception was a good idea in the first place, because now I'm just paranoid. Thanks!!

Tonight, when I loaded my browser, all my web pages came up without any background color- primarily just text on the same default system color background for all pages- this is fine for some simple pages, cause they load faster, but other pages like Facebook for example, I lose some of the graphical page elements, and that's not good! I'm not sure how this happened- all my pages going kinda `text only' (not totally- some foreground pictures load), and I'm not sure how to change it back- please help! I'm using 3.5.15 on a P4 tower.

I have tried twice to upgrade my firefox to the most current (as of 7/18/10). When I did that I was unable to get anywhere on the internet. The message said the proxy settings from my server would not allow it and to make changes. I am using a home computer with Windows 2000. It hooks straight up to the DSL, there is no Server in my house. I am not too computer savvy but tried using the tools info but that just assumes I already know about proxies, servers, etc. I was able to delete the new version and load an older one stored on my computer and have no problems with getting on the net. What is the fix that I can do? What steps do I take. I am not going to hire a guy to do what should be a simple task.

While on Facebook with Firefox browser: I clicked on my work description I did a right click on that silly stock photo of a briefcase At bottom of popup box was choice 'view image info' I clicked on 'view image info' New popup box with image info I checked box 'Block Images from external.ak.fbcdn.net' I probably clicked box 'Save as'... I am not sure how I closed image info box Now the 'briefcase' profile image does not show but neither does my profile photo or friends profile photos.

How can I get back to that box to uncheck it? THANKS...

Latest FF and XP Pro. 2.4 Ghz Celeron, 1 gig RAM. FF will work for a while, then it will stop loading pages and say "Stopped" in the lower left corner of screen. Sometimes I can refresh and the page will load, but 95 out of 100 times I can keep refreshing and it will say "Stopped". Or, the page will partially load and then quit and say "Stopped". I have disabled IPv6 and DNS Prefetching and it is still doing it. IE is doing about the same thing. VERY frustrated. My last PC started doing this and I finally upgraded to a newer one and it was fine for a couple months, but started doing the same recently. Arghhh ... Thanks!

There's an annoying pop-up that loads every time I start Firefox. It tells me to upgrade my operating system, as the latest version of Firefox doesn't support it. But it's the most advanced version of the OS my system will cope with, so that's not an option.

How do I turn the pop-up off?

I installed Firefox ver. 4.0.1 but everything looks the same as before the install. The only noticeable difference is that the Home Button did move from the middle to the right side. When I check About Firefox, it does list the version as 4.0.1. When I click on Check for Updates, it says, “Firefox is up to date” When I click on Download Firefox, it says I am already running 4.0.1

According to the TAKE THE TOUR site, the most obvious missing features are: 1) Firefox Button which should be in the upper left-hand corner 2) Bookmark Button which should be to the right, next to the Home Button.

Also, there is no “one click” button for Private Browsing, the Awesome Bar does not seem to have the extra features as described, and new sites do NOT open as Tabs,

According to Firefox 4.0.1 is compatible with Windows 2000 so it should not be a problem with the operating system. One other tip, I did try to upgrade one of the Add-ons (AniWeather) which has been updated to be more compatible with 4.0.1. It would not install because of missing dll’s. This seems to be one more clue that 4.0.1 did not fully install.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mozilla upgraded to 3.6 and now when it launches it will only launch to the the welcome page thanking me for upgrading. I didn't ask it to upgrade it did it automatically. I go in and set my home page and it will not keep it. I relaunch and it comes up again to the welcome page.

What do I do to fix this?

Have used Spyware Blaster for some 5-6 years to control malware manipulating MSIE, Firefox, and block selected sites w 100% success, now suddenly when I check the status I see the Firefox controls being disabled/reactivated to allow prohibited javascripts to run, popups to run, etc over time, going from 100% blocked down to 50% blocked over time.
