Today I got a message from www.xmarks.com that it is going to stop it's bookmarks synchronization service "XMARKS" add-on firefox from 10th Jan 2011. How should I import my stored bookmarks on www.xmarks.com to "FIREFOX SYNC" add-on? I could not find any option to import it in TOOLS -> SYNC -> PREFERENCES. Neither it's mentioned on xmarks.
Or probably it gets synchronized automatically?
Can I use Firefox Sync on a public computer, as I did with Xmarks?
I am going to miss Xmarks. How can I use Firefox Sync when I go to an internet cafe?

I'm trying to pair my 2 computers so that the bookmarks etc. will be the same, but every time I enter the code from my new computer onto my computer with the account, it says "Please try again."
I've followed the instructions, I have been entering the code right and I've tried multiple times.
What could be the issue? Am I missing something? I tried the recovery key method too but Manage Account option isn't even under my Sync tab.

Never get prompted for secret question
Download sync on desktop which only prompts me for email and password not secret question which is required for Firefox Home login on my iphone.

I had previously setup sync &could not remember the code. So I deleted everything so that I could start out fresh.
I have four computers which i would like to sync.
When I attempt to setup Sync and click on Creaate a New Account in the first field is when I enter the first letter of my email address a
RED X Invalid email address
pops up below the email field.
If I continue to enter the other fields the message changes to
RED X Already in use
What should I do ???????????

I have been patiently waiting for v11 for Firefox Sync to include Add-ons.
Now that it is here, I have upgraded both my work and home laptops to include Add-ons in the sync.
As I use Xmarks to sync bookmarks & history, I just need firefox to sync add-ons, preferences and open tabs.
Open tabs sync fine. Hard to tell if preferences are syncing. Main problem is that my addons are not syncing at all. If I add a new Add-on to my work laptop, shouldn't it then sync & install on my home laptop?
Hoping someone may have an answer...

You should publish a Privacy statement regarding off-site Sync data and under what conditions it would be released to anyone for any purpose. How soon will it be "shared" with third-party "partners" in order to enhance my "online experience"?
Your current Sync information is totally silent on this question.

I recently formatted my c: drive and reinstalled windows Vista, and lost my firefox data. When I was attempting to connect my sync account, I tried to set it up manually but I had forgotten my password. So I reset my password, but accidentally changed my sync key, so I actually lost all my data. Stupid, yes. Is it possible that I can retrieve the data? Perhaps the servers keep the deleted information for some time before they are actually wiped out?
