Before installing the 16.0.1 update, I had one particular tab group open, out of several that I maintain for different projects. (I could switch freely between tab groups in FF 15.) After the install, the Tab Groups Button does not open the Panorama view when clicked, nor does the drop-down command next to it move the view to Panorama, nor does the keyboard shortcut work. I've re-started FF twice, which did nothing to fix the problem.

When I click on a PDF, a new tab opens. It gives me the option to open the document directly or save it--this is what I have preferences set to do. However, when I try either of those options nothing happens. It only opens a new blank tab. My specifications are below. I've run all the relevant software updates.

System: OS X 10.8.2

Adobe Reader: 10.1.5

Firefox: 18.0.1

I've seen this problem on other posts and I've done some searching on the web. I've tried the solutions that have been provided and worked for other people, however I noted that they were running older versions of some of the software, etc. Interestingly, I CAN open PDFs that come to me or that I send through Gmail.

I have done the following based on the advice I've seen:

Cleared my downloads list

Tried disabling the Adobe NPAPI Plug-In

In my Firefox preferences: I have set PDF documents to be open by Adobe. I also tried it with Preview. Neither of them worked.

I appreciate any help you can offer.

Mac OSx 10.8.2 Firefox 18.0 Firefox -> Prefrences -> advanced -> encryption -> view certificates -> import Select the cert, enter password, then i get this message: Successfully restored your security certificate(s) and private key(s). However the cert does not show up on my cert list, and i cannot access the site that requires this cert.

Cert worked in ver 17 combined with OS 10.7.X Cert works on my win 7 box with firefox 17.0.1

I am on 15" MacBook Pro Retina with HDMI to an LCD HD TV. OS X 10.8.2 Firefox 18.0

When I have the Firefox browser on the TV screen, drop down menus appear in miniature on the MacBook screen. I disabled the hardware acceleration and this seemed to work for the first instance of use but then the system reverted to miniature menu on the wrong screen.

Any ideas for curing this gratefully received.

I am using firefox on both my macs (on is running mountain lion and the other snow leopard. It is annoying that in any fields typing only works upon the first click or ->tab on the field, when I click - for example mid sentence to delete a letter (for example) it does not type and the mac sounds the sound effect of "thump" - when you are trying to type in a non-field. The issue is resolved for that instance when I click into a different field (can be the same tab - for example I am typing into the ebay search tab - click on it a second time (thump - no typing) then click in the address bar, now back to the search - now carefully press the arrow howevermany times I need to get to the desired position or just retype the search string - mightily irritating. Same happens in emails, messages... any field! I really like firefox, after a run in with opera, some trouble with safari (tab support)... it was my favourite, with cross computer spaces... I hope this gets resolved soon.

For unknown reason Firefox 17.0.1 has stopped downloading pdf's. This was happening before upgrading to 17.0.1, and before upgrading to Mac OS 10.8.3 from 10.7.4. In order to get pdf's printed, I have to copy the links and download them on another browser, such as Safari. On the other hand, browsing with Safari alone won't work because it messes up the various websites' formats, and becomes unreadable. Firefox will also have this problem occasionally, but usually not.

    To overcome the problems I down loaded Chrome and Camino, but they only allow new pages as tabs, instead of fresh windows, so they have just added to the frustration! Since I never had these types of problems before, I can't figure out if it is the browsers, or my OS, but I suspect the latter. Have you had similar reports, and if so, where you able to offer assistance?  Thank you.

My Imac is version 10.8 snow leopard. I tried to import bookmarks from Safari to Firefox but import data from another browser is greyed out, even though private browsing is turned off. I also created an .html file for my bookmarks no problem but when I import this file to firefox, no bookmarks appear. I checked the file in a plain text editor for any folded files but none existed. Can anyone help me solve this problem. It seems the easiest solution would be if the IMPORT DATA FROM ANOTHER BROWSER button was functional. thanks.

I want to uninstall Ant video and I find it incredible that there is not info on how to do that on Firefox. Not even and the addon itself. How do I uninstall Ant video downloader?

Have 'upped' from 17.01 to 18 on a Mac and Win 7. Neither will browse the web. It just opens to my home page tabs without content. Have tried closing firewalls on each machine - same result. The browser just doesn't browse. Reverted back to 17.01

Anyone else with the same issue?

Cannot move bookmarks wherever I want. They are stuck in alpha order. When I move one it goes back to alpha order. I would like to be able to move them manually in any order.

New Messenger for Firefox facility is down for a few hours. After user clicks on Turn ON, messenger sidebar opens but user can not Log In the system. So Facebook Messenger facility can not be used currently.

Please fix the issue if possible.

When I open Firefox, I get a software update msg and when I click on it, it never finishes loading. It says it is connecting to the update server, and the blue loading bar keeps running across the screen.

When I move the mouse over anything on the screen it flickers. When I move it across a hyperlink it flickers from an arrow to a hand. This flickering is so quick and constant that it has become an annoyance and is enough to drive me back to using Safari full time. I cant figure out how to stop this. I have deleted and reinstalled a fresh copy of Firefox, but that didnt help. I tried restarting with plug ins off and that didnt stop it.

I have just installed the latest security update and pages which had been displayed prior to the update, consisting of columns of names and numbers, occupying an entire page, are now scrunched up, in very small font, at the left side of the page and are virtually unreadable. I am running FF 18.0.2 with Mac OS X Mountain Lion. Help, please!

Using Firefox v. 19.0.1 on Mac 15' Macbook Pro running OS X 10.8.3. Trying to play videos. Have webm and MP4 version videos to play. Code works fine and videos play in Firefox on my machine. When downloading web pages from the server I get "No video supported format & Mime type found" error messages.

HOw does one fix this?
