Firefox 3.6.12 Mac OS X 10.5.8

In the 'Compose mail' window of GMail the shortcut Command-left arrow or Command-right arrow to jump to respectively beginning or end of a line, is not working. Command-up/down (go to top/bottom) and option-left/right (jump per word) are all working fine. I already tried running Firefox in Safe mode but still the same issue. Also tried clearing the cache and all history but to no avail. In Safari the shortcut works fine but I'd like to stick to Firefox.

I was watching to see what links my computer was going to without my knowledge or permission. I found that Firefox (on a Mac) is regularly linking to these sites: secure.informaction.com oscp.godaddy.com safebrowsing-cache.google.com

I have a macbook pro. Firefox had run well for years, but after downloading firefox 3.6.15 I can not run any videos from web sites like You tube or Itunes.

The web page loads but the video window does not show up, nor any controls

When I tried to run a trailer from Itunes the sound was there but not the video.

My pluins are up to date.

When I enter a user name and password to enter a web site , Firefox asks me if I want Firefox to remember it. I say "Remember". Now I wan to change that password. How di I do this? Thanks, Jerry H

My search bar does not work. I can enter text and the autofill works but when I hit enter or click the magnifying glass, nothing happens. (The location bar is working). I can change the search engine from google to other default engines but they don't search either. When I open "Manage Search Engines" the menu opens and I can make changes but then it won't leave and I have to force quit firefox to get back to normal browsing. This is driving me crazy, please help! I've tried restarting the search engine, my computer, modified settings as suggested by other pages, but nothing helps. (Safari's search bar is working, but I don't like using Safari so I'd really like to figure out how to fix this).

Hey - i canot open facebook since yesterday . Sometimes after a while there comes a little window and ask if i want to open the side as pure text . Sometimes i can come in to the side but nothing is working, does not answere when clicking on any button. Now i have deleted history and now it says : The connection to the server was interrupted while the page loaded.

I have a Macbook Pro and can't upload pics on Facebook with the automatic mass photo uploader that first shows up. Iphoto won't upload them right either, Safari will but won't take the captions and tags.

iMac. Firefox 9. I just uploaded from 8.01 to 9. In my Bookmarks/submaps the urls had in version 8.01, icons. Now in 9 the icons in the urls have gone. Restart Firefox, nor restart computer solved the problem.. Who knows the solution. In advance my great thanks!

A couple of months ago I forgot I had left my computer on when I walked away while browsing the web. When I came back some hours later there were pop-ups promoting porn sites on the screen. Firefox was locked up and I had to "force quit". Since then I have problems getting a new window. If I make repeated attempts, multiple windows open simultaneously sometime later. Toolbar menu buttons and add-on toolbar buttons work at first but often stop functioning after half an hour or so. When this happens, I generally have to "force quit" to escape Firefox. I have tried deleting Firefox from my computer and downloading a fresh version but the problem continues. No other program seems affected. I have Integro Virus Barrier X5, and I am running a trial version of X6, but I have found no sign of any malicious software. Suggestions?

Description

I used to be able to starting typing a web address whenever I opened a new tab. But ever since I did a Firefox update, now I get this address whenever I open a new tab: chrome://vuze_remote/content/aboutTabs.htm. So then I have to select that address and delete it before I can start typing a link in the window. How do I get the address window to be blank again when I open a new tab?

Foxfire regularly gives me the error message: Server not Found -- BUT if I hit refresh, the 'not found' server opens immediately 99.9% of the time. This is really annoying. Happens multiple times per session, but not every time I click a link.

I did do some due diligence, and asked the knowledgebase, but I admit I didn't poke around too long. Two or three upgrades ago, I was able to save bookmarks and a little menu (I want to say drop-down, but not) appeared, asking for tags, the precise placement of the new bookmark, and for me to edit the name. I'm sure that wasn't dropped, so why isn't the little menu showing up?

Also, the answer I did find said to click on the star, which autofills blue; clicking it a second time brings up the menu. Only, it doesn't.

After downloading the new version of firefox 8.1 could not follow the next 2 steps. When Drag fox to the applications icon when prompted clicked replace existing version, but then prompt says cannot do it because I don't have sufficent previledges. How can i complete download of the new version of firefox.

When filling in user id field thought i had tabbed to password field but hadn't, typed password in user id field after my user id. Now it appears every login for all to see!

So I changed the preferences on my downloadhelper such that the icon appears in the status bar. Then I decided I didn't like that, and changed the preference. However, the status bar remains, with absolutely nothing in it.

if i want to save some page and go to bookmark this page option, nothing happend. If i try to save already saved page, the window opens, but if the page is not saved already, nothing is happening. there is no way to add a bookmark. what do i do?

I accidentally clicked to remove an image from my facebook timeline...on the "maps" section on my home page. What I actually did was block images to facebook...or something like that. I do not know how to restore them or unblock them. I now do not have any photos on my profile page ...I cannot download any either...they are blocked...I need HELP!!

On websites I visit daily – newspapers, Hotmail, etc, even though I have clicked "remember me on this computer", it does not work. I have to log in every time I have restarted my computer (Mac OSX 10.5.8). Also, this may be related. I have iGoogle as my home page, but "themes", location, widgets, etc are not saved when I shut down.
