what happened to the little box that let me change the time that the personas were on the top of my screen? How can i get it back? I used to get it from: tools>personas>..

On all HTTPS sites, I get this message...

This happens ever since I updated from FF6 on all sites that use https for logging on... I've contacted most of the sites and they say it's not them... they are all sites that I've accessed in the past and use regularly... now since I've updated FF, they don't work anymore and I've had to use another browser to access these sites... it's a royal pain!

Всё последних версий на момент написания. Пользовательских скриптов и стилей включённых нету.

Тема по умолчанию. Плагины: DivX Web Player Shockwave Flash также последних версий.

Откатился до версии 8.0.1, поэтому "Информация для решения проблем" оттуда, потому что мои бедные нервы не выдержат ещё одного обновления до ff 9, а оттуда я скопировать забыл...

Every time pull up youtube in Firefox it immediately freezes or hangs the entire browser. the only thing I can do is close down Firefox via the task manager. This happens every single time. It used to work fine. I've even disable accelerate video. Nothing seems to work. The only time it kind of works is when I uninstall and reinstall firefox and/or flash player. Then the very first time I pull up youtube it will work great but when I close down the browser then reopen it and go to youtube, I have the same exact problem as before.

Firefox will pull up youtube with no problem when I uninstall the flashplayer (of course can't see videos then) but once it's installed youtube freezes.

Also Internet Explorer pulls up youtube videos great, just like Firefox used to do. Don't know what's wrong or what's happened but youtube immediately freezes or hangs Firefox when flashplayer is installed in firefox

Here's a strange problem. I always use Firefox, but of course, still have MSIE on my system. Today, 3 seconds after I log in to my hotmail account, the screen immediately switches itself to espn.go.com without any prompting from me (no clicks by me or mouse movement.) Thought it might be a hotmail problem (like it was hacked), but I don't experience this with MSIE, just Firefox. I ran a couple of deep cleaning virus/malware utilities, then rebooted and tried again. Same problem. Is it a Firefox hack? Anyone have any insight? I use Firefox 8.0.1 and haven't upgraded (don't really want to...actually want to go backwards so that certain add ons will work.)

I click on a link for a YouTube video, and the video plays without sound. I check the sound bar and it's not mute. I set the sound to the maximum, still no sound. I check my system preferences and the sound is up.

Flash player is up-to-date, and Firefox is the latest version. However, no videos will play on Firefox. They were working fine until recently. We are in the habit of watching the videos offered on the weather channel, but the screen is black. When I click the play button, nothing happens.

I installed Firefox yesterday on my new computer. when I used it I had Bing on my homepage. Throughout the day and evening I downloaded several programs and somehow I started getting Yahoo on my homepage. Bing is set as my default with Google as secondary. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it hoping to get it back to what I started with but I still get Yahoo on my homepage. How do I get rid of Yahoo?

Since I updated Firefox I cant play anything that requires Flash player. I have the up to date player and it works perfectly with IE but Firefox keeps telling me I need another plug in and when I follow the instructions it says 'download failed try manual download' but even that fails too. Before I updated Firefox I had no issues, can you help Alan.

After I upgraded to the latest v8.01 I have lost all my tabbed sites and even when trying to add them and save them with the Tools>Options>General>Start up>when Firefox starts selected feature "show my windows and tabs from last time" it does not hold the saved sites and when browser is restarted it always loses all the tabs and only shows one tab with Firefox home webpage. I need to have several sites open to work and the only way to do that now is to make sure I click the "Use current pages" under General Option in Tools. It is getting very annoying because I keep changing my tabs to different websites during a session and I am used to just closing the browser, relying on having them all back in when restarting Firefox.

This is not related to any particular website, although websites with flash or java script or "fancier" I/Fs are assured to crash Firefox.

For example, a minute ago, I tried to enter a search phrase into Google (main page) and crash. I tried to enter a search phrase into Netflix search window and crash. I hadn't seen a crash on the Fox News pages though and they are rich content.

Firefox wasn't doing this before the 8.0.1 update (but I can't distinguish this event from the update of Flash to 11.1.102)

I do know that Firefox is virtually unusable (and I'm in Safari at this moment).

I suppose its possible that something on the Mac changed (firmware) but why isn't there a problem with Safari then?

Its not like I have time for a full fledged debug of another software application!!! I don't (and I AM a professional software developer that develops on ALL the platforms/OS including OSX all versions, Windows back to XP, and Linux most flavors and I'm a Qt expert also)

I've NEVER had this problem before. At first I was leaning towards the Flash update. But now I'm not sure.

If someone would suggest a progression of moves to isolate this issue, I'll take that much time to troubleshoot this. I can't quite believe that more people aren't having this problem.

ok.. I'll start with disabling plugins. Then I'll start backing up to previous versions, starting with Flash, then Firefox as these were the latest 2 updates.

How do I get the "File, Edit, History, Bookmarks, Tools & Help Bar to appear on my browser. I also need my "Previous Page & Next Page" arrow... and my "Start" button to appear at the bottom of my screen. I can't navigate without these.

I've rebuilt my PC (windows vista sp2) after a complete system crash caused by a rootkit virus and I'm now having problems with valid sites such as facebook, skype, and network solutions. I keep getting an invalid certificate error even when I export/save the certificate. My computer clock is set properly and I've gone through every step recommended on mozilla help for the invalid certs....please help me! These sites come up perfectly in Explorer...

Pretty clear, I guess, I hit something without being aware of it, and now the Firefox screen, and therefore everything else, is magnified larger that I want it to be. I can't see how to return it ti normal magnification.

When on websites such as facebook or youtube, I cannot click on the search bar. I cannot click on the logo to refresh the page and nothing near the top inch of the website on my monitor works. I can't even sign out of facebook.
