I mechanically clear EVERYTHING often when browsing. What I'm getting live arrows on for a Clear are: Browing & Download History Form & Search History (this is the ONE NOT working, no hot arrow) Next is Cookies then Cache Then Active Logins Then finishes up with Site Preferences.

IT IS THE FORM 7 SEARCH HISTORY which won't clear using new Firefox 8.1 where in 8.0 it did. Thanks.

Since upgrading to 9 I find that visiting web sites invariably means a 10 second or more wait until they load.

Once the site eventually loads subsequent clicks to other pages are much faster.

This happens even with all add ons deactivated.

Everything under the firefox menu is in spanish, such as "marcadores, historial and descargas" and I don't know how to change it back to english. I've tried to change the language under options, but I've chosen english for the language but it still is in spanish.

Babylon has added itself to my Firefox browser as a search engine. So if I type a search term in the URL window, Babylon comes up. I know it is a tracking device and it 'found' me when I used their site for translation. BIG mistake! I have uninstalled it, removed then reinstalled FF and it still is there. How do I get rid of it?

I've got a problem with the MySpace audio player. When I'm trying to listen to a song, there is a message popping up saying that the Flash cannot be played, it suggests me to refresh/restart browser or upgrade flash . But I'm already using this version of flash and I've got the latest FF. p.s.: IE had no problems.

While on Firefox and using Google as the search engine, it randomly opens a separate window asking "You have chosen to open-Search ". I didn't even press any commands or any sort for it to pop out. I have no idea how MyStart by IncrediBar got on to my computer. Initially, it hijacked my browser, where upon opening Firefox (8.01) it re-directed my homepage to a MyStart search page. I have never intentionally allowed MyStart, IncrediBar, or IncrediMail into my system.

Using the Control Panel (Vista Home Premium – 64-bit), I uninstalled the program. Then, I went into Firefox Options and disallowed and/or deleted all references to these programs. I also reset my homepage to where I had previously set it to be. I tried to do a System Restore twice, but each time it failed, returning a message indicating that “An unspecified error occurred during System Restore.” I did a complete system scan with Norton 360, which turned up nothing.

Now, my homepage opens to my desired site and MyStart no longer shows up as a search engine choice in the upper-right search box, but when opening Firefox, a second tab immediately opens with the MyStart search page and the url “http://mystart.incredibar.com/?a=6Oyn8n6bDE&i=26.” I also have Internet Explorer 9 on my pc. I was able to completely remove MyStart from that browser. I have searched the Firefox Help website and applied all suggested tactics noted there (including the suggestion from kevinsenjaya regarding about:config), but still have the problem.

I would appreciate guidance on two items: (1) Should I be concerned that my computer is no longer secure because of MyStart and (2) How do I prevent MyStart from automatically opening each time I open Firefox?

Getting Error code "403 Forbidden" on a website I have been accessing for years. It says "Forbidden You don't have permission to access /_cqr/login on this server." I can access this site (AOL) on other browsers.

I emptied my cache.  I rebooted Firefox.  This is my email website - never had a problem before.  I am able to access it on Safari.  I even tried the simple address (rather then my bookmarked login address) - still got the same error message!

My Firefox Browser page use to have a Norton Safe Search Bar within the tool bar area. It has to be active thereon otherwise the Auto Fill feature of Passwords for websites I visit - which require my user name AND password - will not be filled in automatically by the Norton Internet Security 2011 software that I have on my computer. My Question: HOW do I get that Norton Search Bar back on my Firefox Browser Page?

Where the hell is my "refresh" button!!!!!! I've had it no matter what server i have. now you upgrade me after constant computer harassing, and i have no REFRESH BUTTON! No, i am not as smart as u, or even close to it, but i used to LOVE firefox. I even gave up microsoft crap for you. but now, you have gone too far. and no, i am not going to follow instructions in order to get to 2 arrows refreshing my page!

The program does not allow my home page to come up at start up. Found it in the root directory with Firefox and deleted it but must be imbedded in Firefox because it still starts up with BING home page.

Ever since upgrading to Firefox 8.0.x, Firefox has been freezing on me.

From what I can tell, this happens when I typing in textboxes (composing e-mails, other...); in fact, Firefox froze for about 10 seconds when registering my account on these forums!

I am in safe mode with all extensions/plugins turned off and I am still experiencing this problem.

When I open the Activity Monitor app, the "% CPU" column for Firefox will spike to 100 during the freezes.

What the heck is going on here?

I am not sure how much more freezing I can take... I am tempted to switch to Chrome or Safari. :(
