I am unable to get rid of the Bing search window. To be absolutely clear on what I am trying to get rid of : to the right of my open tabs there is a Bing search box. This is the one I am trying to get rid of. There is no mention of Bing or toolbar in the add-ons section of Firefox nor is there an entry for this in remove programs, I am using Firefox 7.o1 and Vista Home 64bit. Is this the new thing they have added in partnership with Microsoft or is there a way I can't find to get rid of this?

I noticed Firefox 8 is coming out in about a week, so I wanted to try out one of the betas. I heard publicity a while back about the fact that Firefox 8 will be the first 64-bit (Windows) release. However, there are no 64-bit installers in any of the beta releases, or the Aurora releases. The most recent 64-bit build I can find is http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2011/08/2011-08-15-03-07-38-mozilla-central/. Has 64-bit support slipped? I notice there aren't even any 64-bit releases of Firefox 9 in Aurora.

i found myself replacing my computer for various reasons and need to get all my data of my old computer to the new one. however, when it came to Firefox and my tab groups, book marks and history i found no real way to export them to the other computer. is there some way to save all that information and then move it onto the new computer? it is tiresome to have to lose all my save information as well as all the tabs i have because i need them and it is time consuming to be copy and pasting all my address into a text and saving it that way.

In fact, I can't say I have problems with firefox, it works fine, but I don't know which one to ask. It is about some infamous zinkwing search. Since few weeks ago, I had problems with that thing: it was redirecting me from google.com, when I type something, or when I try to follow some link, to some page zinkwink.com, or some fake pages (I guess they are fake)... I used registry cleaner and wise cleaner to get rid of that thing, and I made it in some part: now it is not redirecting me from google.com, or any other search engines homepage, when I want to search for something. But still I can see it is not removed! :( When I try to search from search bar with google, yahoo or any other search engine, it doesn't give me the results from google or yahoo, it redirects me to wiznkwink.com giving me some crap (sorry for expression...). Also when I type something a little wrong to address bar, or just want to search for something via address bar, it also redirects me to zinkwink.com (previously (before this zinkwink problem appeared) I had some webs search which was fine). So I can't use search bar or address bar properly! :( Do you know how could I solve this problem, but reinstalling OS? :(
I also tried changing address bar search, and when I copy/paste that url for google search, few seconds later, zinkwink appears back in front of my eyes!

Ever since upgrading to Firefox 7, I've experienced an intermittent issue where, upon trying to load a site, the status bar says "Connecting...", and sits there without loading anything for several minutes. This typically happens after several minutes of normal use. During this time, Firefox is unable to connect to any site. It is also unable to check for updates. There are no error messages; it simply displays the "spinning wheel" icon and provides no further feedback.
Closing the tab where the problem initially occurred doesn't help, but completely closing down and restarting Firefox does. However, the problem typically reoccurs after several minutes of normal use following a restart.
No other application is affected. Internet Explorer, MSN Live Messenger, Thunderbird, and other network applications continue to operate normally during the period that Firefox is unable to load sites.
I do not believe that it's a firewall issue. The problem occurs even when all firewall software - including the built-in Windows Firewall - has been disabled.
Additionally, if I just let Firefox "spin" for several minutes, the problem abruptly clears up on its own, and the site I'd originally requested loads normally. As with a restart, when the problem has cleared up in this fashion, it typically reoccurs after several minutes of normal use.

Using Firefox 7.0.1, Flash 11.0.1.152 plugin installs OK in Windows XP Home but not in Windows XP Professional.
I don't know if this is related, but the page http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer displays OK in Win XP Home but shows up as text in Win XP Pro.
Clicking on the Download link does nothing, so I need to use Windows IE to download the Flash installer and start it manually. When I do, Flash installs OK in IE but not in FF.
