After installing yahoo messenger it installed its search engine as default! how ever i have removed this add on and the Google search engine is now displayed on starting up firefox, but when i do a search it puts me back on to the yahoo web site search engine is there a way to fix this???

I'm getting the above message when I start FF6. Didn't have it when I first downloaded. I was renewing my First Mailwasher subscription when I first encountered it. I deleted FF6 and reloaded but this did not correct the problem. FF6 works fine after the error message. On sites with aggressive pop-ups I get the error message and when I go ok to clear the message the pop-up loads minimized. All other computer functions appear ok.

I updated to Firefox 6.0, and now I can't download real time videos from You Tube. Do not get the pop up box to download video, or the download choice when I right click. Firefox 5.0 downloaded videos no problem. Have latest version of real player and flash.

I'm currently getting some "funky" responses from my Firefox, so I wanted to check my addons to see if any of them was the cause. But I can't get the Add-Ons Manager to load, it gets stuck on the "start" page - just displays the animation of the circle and "Loading" next to it. Have tried restarting FF, rebooting PC, Start without addons. Since I don't run many addons or plugins, this is not a major case - but if any could help me out I would be grateful.

Firefox keeps locking up. Downloaded latest version mid Sept. Since then get not responding many times. I reloaded older version of Firefox but that didn't seem to help. Almost everytime upon loading, then starting to enter a search name a box comes up with s04.cltrda.com/sc?p....... many more characters on the address totaling over 100. What is this? How do I get rid of this? Al

I installed Firefox 6, very perfect, but when I unload a file, the script that it was using for Firefox 5 is not compatible. That someone might obtain? Thank you very much

Norton 360 popped up a "file insight" message related to a file that was downloaded to my PC. The source file was Firefox.exe, and the name of the file is RadioWMPCoreGecko19.dll Some sites are reporting this file as malicious, but it seems to me that it is a plugin extension for firefox? Can you explain this file to me?

facebook.com displays and I can log on but the page does not display correctly. It appears to have the "wall" section missing. I have cleared my cache and cookies with no change. I can open facebook.com correctly from within IE9.

I recently added Firefox as a second browser to the Internet Explorer 8.0 that I have been using. During the download of the Firefox browser, I thought it was transferring my Favorites List of most frequently visited websites. I cannot find this list anywhere when I use the Firefox browser. to access the list I must use IE 8.0. Please advise because i rely on access to this list in my daily work.

After I upgraded to Firefox 7 (and 7.01) the Divx web player controls were not available when playing a Divx video on a website and the menu did not come up when I right-clicked on the video. I tried different versions of the Divx web player, including the latest, and the problem remains the same. Also, the video would only play but would not download automatically to the cache in the Divx movies folder on my computer while it was playing like it did before. I have re-installed Firefox 6.02 and everything works fine again.

I need the Norton toolbar, which was available until a few minutes ago when the latest update came in for firefox. Anyway, I would like the toolbar enabled or the means to undo the update. Help

Hi, Since installing Firefox 6, when I've tried opening a PDF, the entire image looks like it's been run through a bad copy machine that's almost out of ink, and is semi-transparent. (I can see the wallpaper image on my desktop through the PDF.) I have Adobe Reader X version 10.1.0 installed, which appears to be the most recent plug-in. (I've checked that all my Adobe plug-ins are up-to-date, and also disabled every plug-in but Adobe Acrobat, and the problem persists.) I've also noticed this problem with some of the text in Flash applications I've opened, such as a practice quiz site for a textbook I'm using for school. This does not happen in Internet Explorer, or when I open a PDF in the Adobe viewer, leading me to think it's a Firefox issue. It's pretty frustrating that I can't read my online documents or study for my exams using Firefox, since overall it's my browser of choice. Any advise on how I can try to correct this issue? Thanks.

Whenever I type a search word into the google search box on Firefox immediately a new tab opens for a search engine called abuchack and next to the search box it says it's a google program.

Up until Version 6.0.2 FF supports the following command via the address bar "javascript:window.resizeTo(1280,1024);". In version 7.0.1 and in the beta version 8 - this is no longer supported. I use this all day in my role as a project manager to test web pages in different screen resolutions and I've had to downgrade back to 6.0.2 just for this feature.

Has the support for this been withdrawn permanently or is there a way to enable it in v7 or v8?

I'm pretty sure that I used to be able to view the coded contents of web pages in the past. I just tried to do this with a web page and my "View Source" selection item under the "View" menu is gone.

Am I mistaken that Firefox used to have this feature? I have used Firefox, exclusively, for about the last 3 to 4 years, now; haven't used IE in quite a while.

Maybe with my latest FF upgrade, that feature was deleted in the upgrade.

if I upgrade FF 6.02 to 7.0 or 7.01 Fast Dial opens as a blank page. I upgraded Fast Dial from 3.4 to 3.51 and no difference. Anyone else having the same trouble? I had to down grade to FF 6.02 again so that it would work. Have not found an answer in FAQ or troubleshooting
