Signed up for Firefox 4 on my desktop @ work but my web based time sheet provider won't allow me access with a "beta" browser, so I need to revert back to Firefox 3 (most current non beta version).

I have FF4 beta, this started since FF4 beta 7. I work on Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.

The problem is that I can't see drop down menus unless they have alot of items, nor context menus (like highlighting a text then right-clicking it), auto fill bars don't show the auto fill info entered before .. the menu itself appears, kinda. but it's transparent and the I can't see the items, don't know where to click to select the thing I want.

I haven't got this problem before 4.0b7 .. after I got it, I thought it was one of the plugins, so I disabled them all but still have the problem!

FF 4.0b8 is my default browser and MS Outlook 2003 my default email program. When I open an email containing a link to a website and click on it, no FF window is opened. This problem did not exist with Internet Explorer.

As an alternative solution, I've tried copying the website link from the email, but then I find that it can't be pasted on an open FF window either.

Whenever a google.nl search or results page is opened Firefox freezes. I can still close the window by the close button resize or move the window but the content is totally frozen. Cannot open new tabs, menu options are not accessible, neither by mouse nor keyboard. No problems with maps.google.nl exept when I try to use 3D google earth. I don't have the plugin but see a screen stating I have to download a plugin and than the session freezes again. (Another FF4 session is not affected). It looks like a flash problem? Any suggestions what to do (in a way that I can provide feedback as well?). I didn't reinstall flash yet since it al works fine in ye old FF3.6.

The first tab that is displayed upon starting up Firefox 4.0 Beta 8 is "user.com," a website that I have no recollection of visiting before, much less opting for it to be my start-up page. How did this happen? It doesn't seem to be tied to a specific profile, either, as it loaded consistently between Firefox profiles (although not on Firefox 3).

My iBook is running OS 10.4.11; after installing the beta about December 11 2010, neither version of Firefox is usable. I don't want to uninstall as my bookmarks will be lost. How can I correct this and still preserve the bookmarks I have?

I usually use the ctrl+d to bookmarks, but when I hit it open the pop-up with "Name", "Folder" and "Tags". I wan't to know if it's possible to add the "Keywork" box here too.

The simple question is: Is possible to customize the bookmark popup box?

In FF 3.6 there was not grouping tabs feature and hot key Ctrl+E has been set to focus cursor on text field of search engine (Web search panel). Now in FF 4b8 I can't find what is hot key doing this? How to switch cursor to search engine without mouse? Or how to specify hot keys?

Using MF 4.0 Beta 8, just updated and the icon from noscript has moved from bottom right to bottom left and a small x now appears on the add-on bar. Not sure how to fix this, when i try to move it to the right corner it just moves back!!!!, as well as this the (hoping people from MF reading this) the cross on the add-on bar that is now used to close it is pointless and infuriating me at the moment, really really annoying, a question here also am i able to remove this cross from the view of my eyes???

Hi everyone

This is a weird issue I've been struggling with for a couple days now - Flash objects don't seem to load in Google reader. If I open the original page, they load though.

So I tried these:

• Tried re-installing the Flash plugin - didn't work
• I started Firefox in safe-mode - Fixed! - I could view all Flash objects
• I disabled all my extensions - didn't fix the problem
• I reset Firefox to the default user settings - didn't fix the problem
• Tried making a new profile - didn't work either

What else does Safe-mode really do? What am I missing? Any ideas?

Problem with addon, TabUtilities. After closing a tab, the browser always focuses on the right furthest tab REGARDLESS of what I select(or unselect) in the three boxes under Tab Closing in the settings. I even tried changing to different Values in "extensions.tabutils.selectOnClose" in about:config. Nothing seems to have an effect. I am trying to set TabUtilities to focus on the Last Visited Tab after closing a tab. In other words, focus back to the tab that contains the link I opened a new window with. I have tried every setting including the Last Visited Tab with no success. Thanks so much. Using FF4b8 on WinXPProf

I'm trying to change the layout of the new beta 8 browser, I would like to put the tab bar up into the title bar. The only problem with this is that the Home button and the New Tab button then stop working. I know that the Home button is called "home-button" but I don't know what the new tab button is called. I was merely wondering if there was a way of finding this out at all and if so how I would go about it.

I am interested in configuring Firefox for users and locking down certain settings. It appears that the folder referenced in http://mit.edu/~firefox/www/maintainers/autoconfig.html is not present on the Firefox 4 Beta install.

Will Firefox 4 support autoconfig, and if so will updated documentation be posted for that when Firefox 4.0 is released?

my favorite website for guitar related anything has lately not been rendering as it should. im not sure if its because of an update or what but i would like to not have to go and use IE7 or safari just to use the site
