Flash does work fine in Safari, so it seems to be just beta 7 that has this problem. I don't see any extensions that might be blocking flash (and haven't installed anything new between beta 6 and 7), but I will try a testing profile shortly.

Looking over the release notes, I don't see anything particularly specific to this. Possibly WebGL is interfering, or the new accelerated rendering that went in? I'm not sure how to go about checking if either of those caused the problem.

Since installing Incredimail I have had the My Start Toolbar in both IE8 & Firefox4, I removed it from IE using Add/Remove programmes but it has not gone from Firefox 4 Any idears,??

Can anyone suggest a solution...I cannot get Veetle to work on Firefox 4.0

Any channel will stick at loading and when I try and push the power button on the player I get an error message saying "Internal plugin error"

I have tried a different browser and can get Veetle to work without any problems.

I have manually removed the following veetle plugins and reinstalled them:

Veetle TV Core 0.9.18.0 Veetle TV Player 0.9.18.0

but am still experiencing the same problem.

I decided to upgrade to Firefox 4.0... now I cannot 1) figure how to get my tabs below the url line, 2) find a refresh button, and 3) get my status bar up at the bottom.

I've found a status bar addon, but it didn't work. I don't think I should be needing addons to make a browser work like it did before. These are not useful changes; these are just changes for change's sake...

I have updated to firefox 4. Several plugins do not work such as McAfee Security but Windows Media Player plugin does not work. I have uninstalled firefox 4 and Media Player plugin. I reinstalled everything but the Media Player plugin failed again. The screen just remains blank. The blank screen occurs when testing Media Player using the Mozilla test link. I would like to go back to firefox 3.6 since I cannot use firefox 4 with all the problems but I cannot find any archived versions.

I recently installed Firefox 4 beta 11 and now cannot access certain webpages provided by my university which are using an SSL-encryption.

The error message I receive (in a popup box) is:

evasys.urz.uni-halle.de uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided.

(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

It has been a known problem that somehow Firefox does not handle the issuer chain of the certificate correctly (thats what the IT department says) and the solution up to now was to add an exception for this website in Firefox 3.x.x

This would be fine by me for Firefox 4, too, but I cannot find a way to add this exception. As soon as I dismiss the error message box by clicking "OK" nothing happens, no "This connection is untrusted"-page (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/This%20connection%20is%20untrusted#w_certificates-and-identification) is opened or anything equivalent.

It seems that after installing firefox 4 I cannot use my MacBook Pro touchpad (trackpad) for zooming in or out the page anymore, as I used to do in the previous versions of Firefox.

Many people are used to use their touchpads for zooming, instead of clicking the Cmnd +/-, and its one of the basic touchpad functions that we have on our MacBooks, and many apps are using it.

The reload circle goes and stops and goes and stops when I open email on Hotmail site. Photos in emails flash (appear-disappear-reload, etc., endlessly). All worked perfectly this morning, and then this afternoon new version installed, and now it's so messed up as to be unusable on that site. No problem in IE8. Disabled ABP, and it's not causing the problem (although I did send them a report).

Is there a fix for this?

I recently cleared my complete browsing history and cache. Now I keep getting "Untrusted Connection" when trying to connect to my gmail accounts. But I don't think that's true.

I have Firefox installed in English. I have a Windows 7 computer with both English and French installed in it. I have a task to setup as much software with language packs as possible without reinstalling software. How can I install a French Firefox language pack or without removing the English version?

Signed up for Firefox 4 on my desktop @ work but my web based time sheet provider won't allow me access with a "beta" browser, so I need to revert back to Firefox 3 (most current non beta version).

I installed a freeware program from the net, said no to alot toolbar, but it installed anyway. I then went to the add/remove programs in contral panel, said remove, it then said is was uninstalled, but it is still in the firefox and internet explorer BOTH. I like Firefox, but want the alot toolbar out. please help

When desired site is clicked in Google www.bywill.net appears in the destination window instead of the site address listed and a different site is displayed. This happens with IE as well as Firefox. Repeated searches by McAfee disclose no viruses. They suggested site blocking but this only stops bywell displaying its chosen site.

I feel extremely uncomfortable using 4.0 knowing it is as yet incompatible with my Norton 360 toolbar. I would like to rollback to an early version of firefox until Norton Toolbar becomes compatible in May. I've also experienced some crashing.

After upgrading to Firefox 4.0 I become unable to find the RSS icon for pages have RSS links. In Firefox 3.6, the RSS icon was located on the right end of the address bar (near the star). Where is the RSS icon located in Firefox 4.0? Thanks.
