The green arrows for page forward or back at the top left under File and Edit disappeared after I downloaded the new Firefox toolbar (for 3.6) and were replaced by Most Visited, Getting Started and Latest headlines Icons, which I have little use for. How do I get the Original Toolbar back?

Currently running Firefox 3.5.13 on laptop using Windows XP pro sp3 and will want to move my bookmarks to a new laptop. New laptop uses Win 7 pro 64-bit OS. I have read too many conflicting reports about Firefox and Win 7 and understand that Firefox is working on a true 64-bit version. What are my choices for a stable web browser for new laptop and which particular version of Firefox is recommended and the pros and cons of that suggestion? (I believe one can run Firefox 32 bit version in the 64 bit environment, but is that the best choice?) I have not installed Firefox on new laptop yet and am eager to dump IE. While on the internet yesterday, a page suddenly appeared titled Security Analyst - Mozilla Firefox. It said my computer was infected with five viruses and prompted me to download and run the attached protection software (which I didn't) . Since I have anti-virus software and scan my computer regularly, I'm wondering if this page was actually sent by Mozilla Firefox, or if it was a fake. So, my question is, does Firefox actually send such advisories + software to users?

I checked out the Mozilla Personas, saw one I liked, and added on. When I start Firefox, the Mozilla start-up page shows as usual with Google on it. The Persona I chose barely shows, and only in the Toolbars area at the top of the screen. Can I modify the start-up page to not show Google, and access Google another way, so that my Persona will show on the whole start-up page?

Tonight, when I loaded my browser, all my web pages came up without any background color- primarily just text on the same default system color background for all pages- this is fine for some simple pages, cause they load faster, but other pages like Facebook for example, I lose some of the graphical page elements, and that's not good! I'm not sure how this happened- all my pages going kinda `text only' (not totally- some foreground pictures load), and I'm not sure how to change it back- please help! I'm using 3.5.15 on a P4 tower.

I am trying to switch from IE8 to Firefox but am having trouble adding all of the toolbars I use daily to Firefox. I want to add CouponBar from Coupons.com, Roboform (which it said was added, but is not showing up), Adobe Contribute CS3, and Canon Easy-Web Print EX (for my Canon MX340 printer). Please advise!

I have tried twice to upgrade my firefox to the most current (as of 7/18/10). When I did that I was unable to get anywhere on the internet. The message said the proxy settings from my server would not allow it and to make changes. I am using a home computer with Windows 2000. It hooks straight up to the DSL, there is no Server in my house. I am not too computer savvy but tried using the tools info but that just assumes I already know about proxies, servers, etc. I was able to delete the new version and load an older one stored on my computer and have no problems with getting on the net. What is the fix that I can do? What steps do I take. I am not going to hire a guy to do what should be a simple task.

I run a Java Web Start app. I need to debug with the Java Console. After upgrading my system, the Java Console no longer comes up with my app, even though "Show Console" is still set in the Java Control Panel.

Whenever I download something, especially smaller files such as a .jpg or .torrent, Firefox scans the download for viruses. In theory this is a good thing. In practice, at least for me, it means my browser is locked up for as long as 2 minutes (average is closer to about 10 seconds) while it scans the file that I have ZERO concern over a virus in the first place. Now, it's entirely possible that because I'm not a gaming nerd my computer is "slow" by elitist standards (2gHz is slow?! 2mB RAM is slow?!), but that is neither here nor there; I want this "service" gone and I want it gone now.

i want to update my firefox but i'm still can't use my language , i'm using Firefox 3.5 version in my language now, ok that's it... if you help me how to add language i'll work on that .

When I print a Yahoo email, the text does not wrap (it used to) so part of the text is cut off. Also, the side bar that list my Inbox, Drafts, Sent, etc is printed out along with the email - it didn't used to and because of that, there is not enough room for all of my email. I tried resetting it to Shrink to Fit, but that didn't help; also tried changing the print setting from 100% to 60% but it still doesn't fit on the page.

i don't know what they are and i can't block them. they appear on almost every page i visit and i hate them soo much! i'm not suggesting it is a firefox problem just, if i can have it my way i will never see another one ever.

Description

When I use Firefox and Earthlink webmail, I receive messages that look ok on the screen, but when I print them, crazy characters are shown on the printed page instead of the actual text that is on the screen. I tried clearing the cache, cookies and temp files and clearing the files in my computer's temporary folder using the "Start>Run>%temp%" method. Neither fix helped the problem.

Installed Firefox 3.6.8, tried update first, then did complete uninstall and fresh install from scratch. Problems, problems...

Can not set Tools-Options, the page is blank with only CANCEL button active. Pages keep loading forever, tab page load indicator never stops. On first start, home is www.google.com, then it reverts to Firefox-Google home and search does not work at all. Will not let me connect to support.mozilla website either. Drives me crazy ! Thanks for help in advance.

I know how to clear my cache so that it doesn't load up with old email addresses, however I would like to know what to shut off so that I have to fill out forms each time. It can remember some delicate information at times and I would like that to stop, not just keep happening as soon as I fill out a new form. Thanks!
