Whenever I visit a page that contains even the smallest of Flash objects, Firefox stops responding briefly and then a dialogue pops up to say that Shockwave Flash has crashed. I have tried all of the fixes I have found on other questions: I have reset Firefox, run it in Safe Mode, disabled all extensions, reinstalled both Firefox and Flash, downgraded both Firefox and Flash and turned off Flash's "Protective Mode" etc. The problem only seems to have come about after I upgraded to Firefox 20 yesterday if that is of any help. Flash also crashes on IE and doesn't work properly on Chrome (YouTube does not play sound for example). I have run out of ideas and I was wondering if anyone has anything that I could try. Thanks in advance for any answers!

Hi, Just a few hours ago, firefox has updated itself to the new version, 20.0. After restarting, it seems all working fine. But when I did right clicking to view the context menu (and copy image location), I saw a long list, with options like "Pause", "Play", "Mute" and so on.

Suddenly, since the latest update (20.0.1) my right-click menu is terribly LONG. It's filled with things that seem useful, but are not to be and are not necessary at all. E.g. it contains video-control options, like mute and play, go full screen.
More weird and worse above this is: absolutely nothing in that same menu works or does anything. I
Here is a screen capture of it. It is the regular menu, randomly clicked, which appears everywhere. http://s23.postimg.org/ur0zwg4bf/regrigclibar.png
What's about this? Bug? I think anyway it is broken and needs to be solved.

I am now getting the 'well this is embarrassing...' message EVERY time I open Firefox; I have my Home page set to always open 9 tabs - these are the SAME tabs I have opened at start-up for about 2 years - WHY this annoying message now?! When I click 'close' the Home page opens with all the tabs with no problem, but the message is really irritating & doesn't seem to be telling me anything, as there isn't a problem with any of the tabs? NB: In case you ask 'why 9 tabs'?; these are essential websites I use every time I am browsing/working; I cannot keep opening them manually every time. Please advise why this message comes up as here seems to be no problem, & how I can get rid of it? Thanks.

I was just auto-upgraded to Firefox 20.0, and what had been an orderly, cascading context menu is now a flat, broken menu that's so big it scrolls off the top and bottom of my screen. The cascading submenus have been crammed into the top layer, and many of those options are now broken. Furthermore, options/menus that had been, well, context-sensitive (that is, they only appeared in certain circumstances) are now always-on. For instance, right-clicking on a link gives me the link-related options I'd expect, but it also gives me irrelevant media-control (Play, Pause, etc.) and image-related (View, Reload, Copy location) options.

Before, when I used to right click anything (whether it be to copy, get URL link, etc), the right click menu would be short with just a few options, like cut, copy, past, reload, view background information, etc.
but today, when i right clicked something, i keep on getting the annoyingly long right click menu that has many ridiculous options, such as "save snapshot as", play, pause, mute, unmute, show controls, hide controls, (and possibly over 20 more).
I do not like this and want my short right-click menu bar. How can I do so?

Ever since I updated to firefox 20.0 I've been having a problem with firefox. Every time I start up firefox I get a message saying that this is so embarrassing for trying but failing to restore my previous session and it gives me the option to either close the page and go to the welcome screen, or to restore my previous session. My preferences has the show my home page selected, and every time that I close out of firefox, I close the page by hitting the red x, and then I highlight either the firefox icon or the firefox tab at the top of my screen and select quit. I reset firefox twice and that didn't work either.

I used to have Tools/Start Private Browsing Session At Firefox20 this is gone. What happened to it? If I can't have it on a session basis can I return to Firefox19?

The pages that I used are different pages everytime. I am using Firefox for about 6 years already, never had problems...
I have tried evertything: re-installing, check plugins, cool-start, close tabs, change opening preference website, erase cookies and history etc etc. Hours and hours...but the problem is repeating and it is annoying.
Will there be a new release with bugfixes?

Hello,
I really dislike the "new" 20.bla-bla-bla version of FF because of the download window that appear in library window (wtfFF) and the colorful file system icons in it. SO I want to get back my "old" 19.0.2... Is this possible in therms of the structurаl differences mentioned above in the v.20?
I know about the site where I can find the exact version I need for downgrade with, but can I just run the setup without saving any data... just like when upgrading?
Please answer my question and let me know how to downgrade 20 to 19.0.2...
Thank you very much!!!

Look at all that useful information, File name, file size, URL of site, and time/date completed.
Who thought it would be a good idea to take all that info away when "upgrading" to Firefox 20?
Why can't people just do their job right :-s

I am using Firefox (20) in an environment where I am required to use a proxy to access any external websites, and the proxy has recently been changed in such a manner that it now intercepts HTTPS requests and seems to reissue the certificates from a new identity.
This means that every page I visit that uses HTTPS shows the 'untrusted connection' warning page. I can, of course, add exceptions - but I don't want to have to do this for every secure page (and every subdomain, including those only used for serving up images or stylesheets, etc).
Is there any way to.. disable the warning page? Add an exception for "*"? Add the identity that the certificates are being reissued under to my trusted list (I don't have access to the certificate file)?
Neither Chrome or IE exhibit this behaviour under the same conditions.
