I am new to firefox and a lot of learning to take in.we had IE8 with lots of problems so went to firefox.gets confusing for us at times as we don't know a lot about computers.don't know how to get back of browser,things we had before:eg. page,i did get print,cut,copy,paste ok.don't have internet options on browser..but what really is frustrating,i have read many times how to get a blank page up when you click on a new tab above add.bar.all we get is this box that says.. server not found..with a bunch of foreign symbols.im tired of looking.suggestions? please tell us in easy terms.tks so much..we are using firefox mozilla 18.01 tks cheryl

How can I reset the DEFAULT zoom view in Firefox at 125%, like IE, so I don't have to reset it every time ?

I have seen this question asked previously and it seems there is no answer.

I know that one can change each individual web page (that reset defaults back to 100%) and, alternatively and apparently one can load an add-on to fix the default size at Full Zoom.

... But any hints on how to achieve a DEFAULT 125% zoom would be much appreciated.

I just got the new Google Nexus 4 and have been running Firefox mobile as my primary browser but I have recently discovered a problem. When I download a file (such as a PDF) off of a site to read with Android's quickoffice, no file goes into Android's downloads app. I assumed the file was only bring temporarily bring downloaded for a one time view but when I tried this same process with Chrome mobile, a file was put in the downloads app. I installed a third party for browser for my phone and looked in the downloads folder it showed for my phone and discovered the files I had been downloading with Firefox in it. It seems Firefox doesn't display files downloaded in the downloads app provided with Android which is a problem because that means without a third party for browser, you can't get rid of them. (Petty for sizes but they would eventually fill your phones storage). Is a downloads folder provided with Firefox? Can the downloads be viewed in the stock downloads app?

I am constantly getting This Connection is Untrusted (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain). At the moment it says that google is receiving a facebook certificate. It constantly bothers me and it happens frequently and randomly. It happens and then go away after a short amount of time. If I add an exception, I can't access google at all and will always be re-directed to facebook. I don't know how to fix this stupid error.

Any time I try to connect to Gmail, regardless of the URL used to get there, I get the same results that many others have reported: "The page isn't redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."

I've completely cleared my cache and my cookies. All cookies are allowed, including third-parties. I've updated all of my add-ons. I've disabled all of my add-ons. I've used the "Reset Firefox" button to start over completely. Nothing has worked. The only thing that had any effect was creating a new profile for Firefox, using which I was again able to access Gmail. However, that doesn't really solve anything, since I still don't know what's causing the problem and even if I were to go through the huge hassle of moving all of my bookmarks, settings, etc. over to a new profile, it could just as easily happen again.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this error?

When I move the mouse over anything on the screen it flickers. When I move it across a hyperlink it flickers from an arrow to a hand. This flickering is so quick and constant that it has become an annoyance and is enough to drive me back to using Safari full time. I cant figure out how to stop this. I have deleted and reinstalled a fresh copy of Firefox, but that didnt help. I tried restarting with plug ins off and that didnt stop it.

I want to change my personna to a valentine one. I always change it to go with a season or holiday. But for 2 days now when I click on the customize firefox, it takes a long time to load and when it finally does, the personnas don't load. I have never had this problem before. I cleared my cache with ccleaner and everything is up to date, as far as I know. I am on Windows 7. Please help me with this problem.

I keep getting an error message saying "It looks like you have a flash blocker browser settings or extension. Please enable flash to hear sound" error message come up when I try to play music in Soundcloud. I have just installed Firefox on my laptop and upgraded to the latest Flash player. I then tried down grading to Flash 10.3 but this didn't help. I have been watching programs in iplayer and had no problems there. Please help!

This seems to happen on a regular basis now. As soon as an add-on is updated firefox has trouble detecting the correct version

In this instance i am getting "Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java" having just installed the new version of Java (7-11). I restart firefox and it doesn't solve it, i reboot my machine and it doesn't solve it.

2 Feb 2013 Concerns: Firefox 18.0.1 often freezes, at random times, since about 31 Jan 2013 I am using Mozilla Firefox 18.0.1, Windows Vista, PC, Desktop. My Mozilla Firefox freezes since about 31 Jan 2013 at random times quite often, when I do see TV or videos, also with YouTube videos. It freezes especially when I do start TV or a Video, sometimes also it freezes when the video is running for some time. I do use Firefox mostly only for TV and videos, so else I do not see. Some days earlier (26 January 2013), I had installed the upgrade of the new Norton Internet Security 2013. The two Norton add-ons on for Firefox, I have both deactivated. I can get out of the freezing, when I do click to end the Internet connection. After I have waited for about 5 seconds, the Mozilla Firefox browser can be moved again with the cursor. After I click to close the Firefox, and wait for about 5 seconds, the freezing also does end. I did do two Windows restores, one to 1 week ago and the next to 2 weeks ago. After the restore, when I started Mozilla Firefox, it was at first Firefox 17. But to my very bad luck, Firefox started immediately to update to Firefox 18.0.1 I had seen this updating on Help – About Firefox. There were good times, when people could choose themselves which version of Firefox they wanted. After the restore, I had also downloaded the latest Adobe Flashplayer version (about version 11.5), but the freezes have remained the same. Is there a possility to prevent the automatic update of Firefox? So that I could choose which version of Firefox, I do want. When there is a serious bug in Firefox, I could nevertheless use Firefox instead of changing to the Internet Explorer. I know I myself am responsible to prevent hackers from entering my computer. I have read that 80% of users in Germany do not have any Internet Security against hackers at all. My Internet Explorer until now does not freeze.

I've have severe problems because Firefox 18.0.1 can;t install the plugin and I can access some websites that I used frequently. I do the plugin install and it does not installed, do manually does not install. I do not know what to do. Everything was fine before I installed the 18.0.1

Where do I found and older version of firefox so I can continue with my web-life

i use mozilla and now with the problems with java and hackers cannot play my pogo games,what can i do? i disabled my java i tried java 6 doesnt work or is not safe,what is a safe way to play games on pogo that use java?

Attempting to install the "missing plug-in" using the Firefox prompts results in Java 7 Update 10 being installed, re-installing it is successful and does not resolve the issue, Firefox 18 refuses to allow/display java content even with the proper updated version of Java installed.

This problem ONLY occurred immediately following this mornings update to Firefox 18.0.

OK, I admit that I have been using an old version of Firefox on two machines for a long time. I just got so tired of being told to update every few days! On my laptop (version 10) Adblock works fine. On a new machine I'm setting up now, using version 18, I find that the old Adblock is not available, but am told to try a newer version. However this doesn't work. Is Adblock a thing of the past? Here's the problem, every time I open a new tab, instead of my regular blank page full of thumbnails, I get a "Server Not Found" page instead, typed in the address bar is "http://www.[r;;iåvÞyevq¾qîx»òki.com/" weird right? but how it started out is when I clicked on Fire Fox, and I get a bunch of tabs on Mozilla related things, like I just downloaded FF. Is there a solution to my problem?

I have tried to change ASk.com as my default search engine. Not tab in upper right corner. Large center space on home page. Really don't like ASK and would prefer Google. I have read over your info, tried tutorials. Just don't understand or see how to make change back to Google after update. your help will be appreciated.
