i would to get yahoo, back as my home page. I tried changing it, per mozilla instructions . It did not work. Per mozilla support I am to uninstall "babylon toolbar". I checked control panel no babylon listed as be installed. My question is there another name for the 'babylon toolbar?

Previously when i install this exact same animated lighting overload add-ons some time ago,it have been working fine then i change the appearance to something else which is not animated and after some time i change to another animated APNG-Sasuke Uchiha 2 add-ons and found out this problem so i thought is only this add-on problem and decided to try out lighting overload add-ons again to see whether it's moving or have the same problem but it have the same problem then it must not be the add-ons problem anymore.

I don't remember choosing Private Browsing before I removed Firefox from my computer. After downloading from the website, the same screen appears. It doesn't look like the website displays it. I have a screenshot but don't see a way to attach it here. The top line is blue Windows background and says "Mozilla Firefox Start Page - Mozilla Firefox (Private Browsing)". Below that in tan background the usual File, Edit, View etc. Below that a tab with: the fox image and "Mozilla Firefox Start Page" Below thaat: back arrow, forward arrow, the "Go to a website" box, and on the right side a blue g, and a dropdown tab for search engines, down arrow for downloads, and the house symbol. bottom line is the usual Google line that shows my most used bookmarks The large area below that contains the Fox symbol in the center above the search box (which doesn't work). In the upper right is "mozilla" in grey type. Across the bottom is a light gray banner with "downloads, bookmarks, history, add-ons, sync and Settings" with their symbols above. I had to remove PC Matic Supershield to get the download to work at all, and now after hours of trials, I'm right back where I started.

on my other computer i have the regular firefox browser but when i got my new laptop and installed firefox, it is the 'release update channel' version and I do not like it! how do i go about getting the normal, regular browser? thanks!

Firefox worked fined before I reinstalled it.

when I  go to mail the top header is missing

The bottom part of the page is missing the next, delete, etc, tabs. I cannot mange my emails from this tab. I cleaned out all the cache and cookie files, which didn't help.

Update history says version 20.0.1 was installed on April 11, but Help About Firefox says I have version 19.0.2. Since I'm on the release channel, with updates automatic, I should be current.

I have just upgraded to Firefox 17 and found that Norton 360 "Login Assistant" (formally named Identity Safe) no longer works. It does not fill in the username and password fields. It worked very well and did all the right things when I was using Firefox 16. There is probably a quick fix but in the meantime I have had to revert to version 16. Looking forward to the problem being resolved.

When I go to the Tools menu, there is no option for private browsing. The option was there earlier today when I was using version 19.something (I checked the version when another computer in the office had upgraded firefox and had the same problem) When the browser upgraded to 20.0, private browsing disappeared.

When Firefox 20 was downloaded it had private browsing. Since then I have lost my appearance add on. If I take private browsing off the appearance add on will come back on. How can I have both?

I just downloaded Firefox 18.0.1 and can no longer compose, forward or reply to email messages in Yahoo! Mail. Yet, full functionality remains while using Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 8.

Sigh. There is such a cacophony of solutions to fix Java install problems that even a savvy user becomes lost. The last solution posted for Java install problems relates to Java v7 u10. The solution doesn't even indicate the version of Firefox they're running. This is March 2013. The last solution was posted Sept. 2012.

Frankly, I'm very, very disappointed. I love Firefox -- but someone has dropped / is dropping the ball on this one.

What on earth is the solution to Firefox version 19.0.2 not recognizing an install of Java version 7, update 17?

Java Platform 7u9 and Java Deployment Kit plug-ins are yellow and asked to be updated. The problem is that there is no other version than I have already installed. Even if I try to instal this latest version again I've get the message that I already have the latest version. The same problem was with Flashplayer where I installed the latest version but three days Firefox asked to update the plugin. The last one is now ok but Java Platform and Java Deployment Kit is hopeless. Why it ask for an update if there is none? What should or can I do? I always be careful and patch my pc if necesserry. All my friends who are working with Firefox have the same problem. Can anybody tell me whats going on here? greetings, Mimi321

The add-on DownloadHelper normally would show up in the upper left corner of the Firefox opening page, in one of the bars _ I don't know a name for the bar. I have installed DownloadHelper but nothing is showing. How do I get it back?
