When I try to open Firefox, it says that "the proxy server is refusing connections." What settings do I need to change? Even though the internet signal is strong, I can't open any webpages.

This all started when I tried to tried to delete the Verizon Broadband toolbar and home page that always opened when I opened Firefox.

Here is some info. So far, I have deleted all of Yahoo's cookies, deleted all Yahoo licenses, and deleted everything Yahoo from my computer, yet this persistent little vampire of a website remains. I have looked through the settings on Firefox a hundred times, and it seems that there is no way to influence where a tab goes when you open it. It will probably fix the problem to reinstall Firefox, but if it happens again I want to kill it. I am a Google man folks. I have Google as my homepage, and I don't appreciate Yahoo sticking its ugly purple nose into my business every time I open a tab. Please help!

One thing I chose was a gimmick that adds color and graphics to (I believe) the SHELL of all pages. I don't really like it: find it too hard to read my tool bar and other info at top. I want to REMOVE THIS and have STANDARD SHELL. I can find NOTHING within my preferences that will lead me to the (NO idea what it is called) add-on involved. I want to know HOW TO FIND IT and HOW to REMOVE IT. Thanks!!

The drop down menu on my firefox does not have the 'manage bookmarks' instruction on the menu. В предыдущей версии Firefox эта клавиша была, после обновления новой 8-ой версии установила визуальные закладки, а перейти к ним не могу, только если открывать "Файл"- "Новая вкладка" или "Ctrl+T".
