did windows easy transfer and pulled bookmarks and password profile from old xp system, why won't Firefox recognise the profile and show bookmarks, etc?

I DID THIS A FEW WEEKS AGO AND FIREFOX PICKED UP AND DISPLAYED THE INFO WHEN IT FELT LIKE IT! DELL HAD TO DO AN OPERATING SOFTWARE RELOAD AND I'M STARTING ALL OVER AGAIN.

I followed the instructions and it worked although with a clumsy copy and paste the video URL proceedure. I then found a suggestion that this plugin might simplfy the process. I copied fonts from my old desk top to the new laptop, using Windows7. Windows recognizes the new fonts, as I assigned them as my defaults.
But Firefox doesn't show the new fonts as options to select as defaults. How do I get FF to recognize the new fonts?

I managed to solve this on my end by just reinstalling firefox using the localisation of the default dictionary language i wanted from here - http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
A bit of a shame that the main download page doesnt select the geographically relevant localisation for you and even more so that changing the default language for the in built spell checker is so kak. oh well.
