hello im trying to make my nightly in metro style, can any body help me? Ive already made it my default browser how ever that didnt make it work!

Normally I would select/wrap text in Firefox and right click and choose copy from the top of menu, click and go to Word,Notepad etc. and go to paste but nothing there paste item in menu greyed out.

It works ok ctrl v and c but is frustrating because the built-in function is so much cleaner

I have a new computer (HP ENVY) with Windows 8. I can use only part of a website with Firefox or Chrome. The site uses Java script. The only browser I can use for all of the site is Internet Explorer. On my old computer with Vista, I never had a problem using Firefox with any site. When I right click on an unusable tab on the website, and select "inspect element", there seems to be numerous errors in the resulting dialog. I received some malware (pup.software) with my new computer and it has been removed by Anti malware bytes. Could this be the problem i.e. did the malware damage that site? - or does Firefox and java not work together on windows 8?

I cannot add bookmarks. I have tried many resolutions, but still no results. I used to be able to bookmark, but now this doesn't happen. This happened after I refreshed my system.

Yesterday, I bought a new Samsung Series 5 with Windows 8. I installed Mozilla Firefox 21.0, but started having a problem with it. Every 30 minutes or about 20 webpages, I have to clear the cache for a page to display properly, otherwise they will display with text to the left of the screen and with Times New Roman font.

- I have Avast! 8, but I do not think it is causing the problem. - I am 100% it is not a virus/malware. - I checked my plug-ins in Mozilla. None of them seem to be causing the problem. - It is a Mozilla Firefox only problem. (I am not having this problem in Chrome). - CTRL + F5 solves the problem, but I do not want to have to click that every single webpage I go to. - I have tried the Mozilla Firefox Reset. It did not fix the problem.

HI When I am watching a news clip, an advertisement comes on and I can not hear my news clip. Is there a way to turn off the advertisements which are interrupting my news clips that I am trying to listen to?

I'm a fairly tech savvy person, and have been using Firefox for years. I bought a new PC and installed the Firefox browser, but each time within a day or two, sometimes multiple times a day, the layout changes to a view that sort of lists all the links on a long, horribly laid out web page. It's not specific to a particular site, but affects all of the site that I frequently visit including cnn.com, news.yahoo.com, msn.com, bbc.co.uk/news. This does not ever happen with IE or Chrome. The only settings that I've ever changed in Firefox is the default downloads folder, and the Privacy setting where I've unchecked "Remember search and form history". I've also tried not changing anything, but the problem still happens.

Resetting Firefox using Help > Troubleshooting Information > Reset Firefox always "solves" the problem, until it reappears within a day or two

I just installed Firefox's newest version 21. I went to a website which required flash and it said I did not have flash installed. So I installed flash from adobe's website and it said it installed successfully I went back to the website after restarting my browser and it still did not work. I restarted my computer and nothing. I reinstalled flash again and it still does not work even though adobe is telling me it installed successfully.

My girlfriend has a new Vaio laptop running Windows 8 and Firefox 21.

Every time she starts Firefox for the first time (after powering up the laptop), the browser closes immediately upon her selecting a bookmark from the bookmark toolbar (usually Gmail) or whatever the first task is that she asks Firefox to do for her. (i.e., search or open a URL.)

I've already reset Firefox and confirmed that hardware acceleration is NOT enabled. (We've replicated the problem after completing these steps.)

Needless to say, this ongoing problem is very frustrating. Any suggestions on how we can make her browser work more reliably would be greatly appreciated.

I have just got a new laptop running Windows 8, I do not use the start screen, I have downloaded Start Windows 8 and only use the desktop. I have downloaded Firefox and I am currently using vesion 20.0.1

I added MyWot and Adblock Plus and Downloader Helper.

Initially I was having a problem with the display of Cnet and the odd other site. I figured this was likely to be an issue with Adblock Plus, I disabled it on that site and it was fine. I then started losing the email functions in Yahoo mail, 'move', 'forward' etc. that run along the top of the inbox, and the drop down menu to log out woudn't show. I've since been getting problems with the display of other websites such as booking.com and now the Facebook log in page. By displaying incorrectly, I mean things appearing in line and in Times New Roman.

I have restarted with add ons disabled that didn't fix it, so I reset Firefox. This had the sites working. I reinstalled MyWot, restaretd, stillworked. Reinstalled Downloader Helper, restarted, still worked. I did not reinstall Adblock. I was using the Transport for London wesbite which was fine until I logged out and then that page appeared in Times New Roman too. The Facebook log in page is also broken again. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know my way around a computer to an extent but I'm not that techy. I've done the auto add information below, I don't know what most of it means (Avast plug in has been disabled through all this).

I have not been having these problems on my old XP laptop that I've still been using.

I click on it and double click on it but it doesn't open up. However I can shut the computer totally down and I can open settings one time but the next time I have shut the computer down again.

I unintentionally downloaded mixi.dj. I can't get rid of it. I have looked in my extensions list. It is not there. It also does not show up when I go to "uninstall". Nothing by that name or conduit is listed.

I downloaded mp3it some time ago and it worked nicely until this week. For some reason it states that this app is not working and that the server was reset while the page is loading. Therefore unable to download from you Tube as usual. help what can I do to remedy this.

I use Gmail and occasionally receive emails which contain embedded images rather than attachments. These images do not appear when I use Gmail from Firefox, but they do appear when I use Gmail from Chrome or IE. If I forward the mail then the images appear in the forward mail window. Have tried all of the recommended actions but with no success.

I set up sync on the first computer, then got a sync code on the second computer. Now I can't bring up the sync screen on the first computer to sync them together.
