i want to enable a button based on the vertical sroll bar position i.e when the vertical scroll bar is scrolled to extreme right corner (down) i will enable button. which property should i use in javascript which is supported by firefox

The new download manager is not fulfilling my expectations. The main issue is that it is no longer a popup, but a browser window, which make it annoying on a 23 inch wide screen monitor, and makes it more difficult to drag-and-drop downloaded files from the ctrl-J page to another browser window or explorer folder. Furthermore, it does not support/is not supported by the Deletebutton extension that adds a delete button to the Firefox Download Manager. Furthermore, the same annoyance is true for all other "options" from "firefox options" settings.

Solution: I feel lucky that you added a browser.download.useToolkitUI configuration property, which (when set to true) reverts to the old download manager popup. The info about this configuration property is however difficult to find.

Until some days ago I opened for example this link http://new.livestream.com/accounts/1605491/events/2075320 and the live stream started in the middle of the screen. Now I open the link and get a frozen picture with a triangle play symbol.When I touch the button it tells me the link has to be opened with an extra application and I can choose the Google video player. I extra installed FF because it could play the live stream. All other browsers I tried show the same behavior as FF now. I'm using Nexus 7 with Android 4.2.2. Please advise, thanks in advance.

On my old laptop i had XP home and outlook express. If i found something i would share i just had to right clic and then had the opition to 'send link by mail'. Very nice function!! How do i do that with windows 7 with Firefox and Thunderbird?

When I download I only get the option that asks me where to save. Can I also get the option to print what I download or do I always have to save the file or email attachment first.

I recently got a new laptop and learned about the sync feature on firefox. I have tried multiple times to sync all of my passwords from my old laptop to my new one. Is there a foolproof way to make sure they actually do transfer to the new laptop?

The other "sort by" options in the history bar are working fine. Each time I change it, the list of websites gets re-sorted. Except for Sort by site, which isn't doing anything. Is there a fix for this problem?

Do disabled add-ons use resources? Would removing them completely use less resources? The reason I ask is, I have quite a number of add-ons in the disabled state that I have not removed in case I decide to reactivate/use them again. I was just wondering if having the add-ons associated with the FF software, even in their disabled state, caused Firefox to use any more resources (cpu/ram) than if they were completely removed? If it makes no difference whatsoever in ram/cpu usage if the disabled add-ons are removed or not removed, then I'll just leave them disabled and undeleted. But since my Firefox eats up more and more cpu and memory the longer I use it, I'm interested in getting rid of anything that eats resources, especially if I don't really use them.

I don't think my question is specific to my tech specs, but am using: Windows XP Pro, SP3, and Firefox 9.0.1 (which I intend to upgrade when I finish researching what version is best for me in terms of performance, but especially compatibility with my essential add-ons). I have a series of questions related to the OS dictionary and about looking up the definitions of words and spelling. With Safari I could use Command+: to turn on Spell checker and loved using it. I have spell checker turned on with FireFox via Preferences/Advanced/Check my spelling as I type and like the other method better. I suppose I could get used to the method FireFox uses, but don't understand why cmd: can't work too. I even went in through system preferences and added it as a keyboard shortcut for Firefox without success. I dont' see anything in the pulldown menu's using that key-combination so what's blocking it? Another important feature that doesn't work is I can't click on a word to look up the definition. That's an important feature and I use it often. Because of these I stopped using firefox and continue using Safari even though Safari doesn't work for a main site I visit. Safari is also generally slow and locks up constantly causing me a lot of grief. If the problems I wrote about worked I wouldn't use Safari again and would commit to using Firefox. I would appreciate knowing how to do what I'm trying to do. Thanks,

I've tried everything I can find and nothing works. When I print from Firefox it is centered in the middle of the page at the top and very small. Doesn't matter which printer I use. When I print from another browser it prints fine. I did not have this problem with firefox before. I will switch to another browser for now due to this problem.

I can drag and drop a shortcut to the bookmark menu. I cannot drag and drop from the bookmark menu to the desktop. I cannot drag and drop from the location bar to the desktop.
