When I open the Firefox application, I almost always get an error page that says:

"Well, this is embarrassing. Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page. You can try:

          Removing one or more tabs that you think may be causing the problem
           Starting an entirely new browsing session"

Since before quitting Firefox I always go to "Tools —> Clear Recent History…" and have ALL the items checked when I click OK, there is no page to restore so Firefox shouldn't be having a problem. And yet…there's that window AGAIN!

This started after the last update you provided.

We have a staff computer that was recently used to check a hotmail account, this is against our company policy. The hotmail account owner says she didn't log into her account through the office computer as she wasn't even in that day. Is there any way for us to verify the length of time that she was or was not visiting this site? As our computer's history clearly shows that the hotmail account was visited. Any help would be most appreciated. Is there a way to lock company computers so that only work sites can be visited?

I am sick of always getting this message when I put Firefox on when is it going to be sorted out so that it doesn't happen. I have moved lots of things over to Safari but I have always used Firefox and been happy with it up to now. Please can somebody sort it out.

I used "Show package contents" to open Firefox.app, and I see a Firefox icon named "updated". Can I just delete this, or will it also remove Firefox entirely? If so, can I get my old version of Firefox back? Until I can figure out how to not install this update, I won't restart Firefox. Thanks!

Opening PDF's outside of the browser is not an option for me. I specifically need the Adobe Reader plug-in to function, allowing me to open (and more importantly) edit PDF's in Firefox for a reason. Whenever I download/open in Reader, I am unable to save my changes or data entered into form fields. Typically I open the PDF on the website I use for work (Form Simplicity) and edit the form fields there, save it on the site, and then email it from the site for eSignatures. If I can't save the information put into the PDF then it defeats the whole purpose of trying to keep the process electronic, rather than on paper. Please help me find a solution. I have uninstalled ALL BROWSERS, Adobe Reader, Flash, run the Adobe Creative Suite Cleanup tool just in case I had left-overs from a CS5 trial, and reinstalled everything from scratch. Problem still remains. Is it simply the fact that I'm using a Mac?

I use Firefox on a Mac (Snow Leopard) and I recently updated Firefox to version 18.0. After I updated, Firefox will freeze everytime I go on Facebook and I would have to force quit it. One thing I noticed is that it crashes when almost everything is loaded but the chat. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I want to make webcrawler.com a search engine option in my Firefox search box. But when I use the "get more search engines" command, webcrawler is not listed among the options, and when I search for it in add-ons, no dice. Thanks in advance if you can help with this.

They are in the question. I was very pleased with the old download box, I have a mac so when I got the new update from firefox, I was very surprised to see I can't look through the old downloads and can't see the speed in which the current file is being downloaded, it doesn't make sense to cut those options off...

I want to edit the text of the URL in a bookmark. When I manually enter the URL in the Firefox address bar, the website instantly takes me to the secure login page, but it remembers the URL by which I entered. I cannot "bookmark this page" because then I get only the login page, and in future visits the website will have no idea which of the various URLs I was requesting. So, I want to create individual bookmarks for each of my frequently-used URLs, even though they must all route me through the same secure login page.

If i load up youtube, click on a video it plays normal, its loading, sound is working. but when i open a new tab and then go back to the youtube tab my video stutters, or i could basically say it stopped its les then one frame per second and it skips about 50 frames everytime. sound most of the times does work but also stops sometimes. It only happens when changing tab, not if i scroll down on the videopage or anything. its really annoying. i've tried google chrome and safari aswell, all works fine.

have you heard this before, is there anything i can do?

Installed Snow Leopard on Mac to bring up to 10.6.8. Then updated Firefox and updated so now at Firefox 20.0

I had neither of these problems with my previous version of Firefox.
