starting firefox gives a black screen, except for the yahoo toolbar, with the address p.gif (gifimage, 1x1 pixels) being the only indicator. Once on this screen I can go to yahoo or any other web address. Yahoo is set as my default page.
Disabling all plug in's and add on's and the restarting in safe mode has no effect!

I find it almost impossible since the trigger area is so small and a tap on the book icon always brings me to the url page (the place where you edit the url or search something). My workaround now is to turn the phone to the landscape orientation and so the url bar becomes longer, and therefore the icon is easier to be tapped correctly.
I hope you can fix this by enlarging the trigger area or something. Thank you.

I have only just started using Firefox but I've noticed a strange "feature" (I'm not sure if it's a feature or a bug, thus the quotes). I'm used to Opera and IE where by when I double click some text the text will be automatically selected. Firefox does something like this but for some reason I don't yet understand it adds an extra space at the beginning or end of the selection. This is a problem for someone like me who for work does a lot of copy and paste. I use web software that is intolerant of extra spaces and this feature/bug is going to end up causing some major issues. Is there a way to alter this behavior so that it behaves more like all my other computer programs? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Ok, so I have lost out on some downloads, that were rather large, because I closed firefox.
When I used to close firefox, my download would still keep going. The firefox icon at the bottom of the screen on the taskbar, would show a translucent green download indicator. I could even click on it to check the progress with more detail.
Why on earth would this be changed, to totally cancel downloads when shutting firefox? Is there a way to stop this? I want the behavior of.. Close firefox, download is still going.

When I use Talkback and mobile Firefox, the data headers are not read when I go to a data cell. It makes it difficult, and frustrating, to figure what row of information I trying to find. I do not have that problem with VoiceOver on iOS platform. This assumes that the data table is coded correctly and VoiceOver the data table uses the scope attribute.

How can I stop FF accessing the network long after a page has been downloaded? I tried toggling network.dns.disablePrefetch boolean false to true, and network.prefetch-next boolean true to false using about:config, but it did not help. I am concerned that there might be some malware running, though I have a fully updated Windows 7 Professional x64 system with Microsoft Security Essentials. I also ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, which found no problems. I am basing my observation on my Network Activity Indicator icon in the Taskbar.

Per Mozilla Help, I opened the Outlook website I want for my Firefox homepage. This is my old hotmail home page, which Microsoft has now changed to Outlook. I dragged and dropped its address to the Home button. The drag and drop seemed to work, but I could not find a "Yes" to click. Firefox still tries to open with my old hotmail home page. Firefox displays "Server not found, can't find ...." I deleted, downloaded and reinstalled Firefox, but it still remembers my old hotmail address that it can't find. I need to know how to get this old address out of Firefox and replace it with my new Outlook address. I imagine thousands of other ex-hotmailers are hacked off about this, too.
