how do I stop pop-up adverts continually appearing?
I am continually getting adds popping up on the right side and at the bottom of the screen, thwere does not seem to be any way to block them or unsubscribe

When I use "tools" then "clear recent history" and choose "everything" - the history is clear, but as soon as I start typing 1 letter old and obsolete site names come up as autofill. Hi. When I use fire-fox, it keeps on freezing when i'm accessing any websites that use flash. Googling this problem wouldn't solve it. I have updated firefox to the latest / adobe but it wouldn't solve the problem. If I use another firefox based product like Palemon or Sea monkey, same issue occurs. Other browsers like Chrome crashes when I start it, opera crashes too much and IE is crap and slow and doesn't support much, so firefox is the only solution. I tried firefox on my friends laptop (mac) as it worked fine. It is definitely a windows 7 issue. It is associated with plugin-container.exe. No crash logs or any bug reporters were appearing. I also tried reverting to the prev version (both flash and firefox) but didn't help. This is very strange. Any help please?

I don't use Firefox because of all the browsers, it's the only one where tabs just won't go away by fiddling with the settings, and I would desperately like to use an alternative browser that isn't attached to the less-than-honorable entity known as Google.

However, it has yet to be recognized as a domain extension by Firefox, and so domains under it appear greyed out in the address bar. Websites under the extension are owned, run and hosted by different people and are thus websites in their own right: not simply a sub-domain of a single NYC.MN website - in this case, the greying out causes confusion.
Please can .NYC.MN be placed on the list of recognized domain extensions, to allow users to know which site they are accessing? Thank you!
