4 weeks ago I installed a new WXP (2002) program/system. I then moved my browser to Firefox/Mozilla. When asked to input data for Outlook Express (in the service pack 2 for WXP) I gave them the wrong settings for pop & smtp input and output. How can I correct these settings to make Outlook Express useful?

have managed to get rid of conduit but cant get whitesmoke off firefox and causes me not to be able to view movies on direct tv. there is no place to set search provider on whitesmoke actually no tools at all. Have deleted all versions and uninstalled firefox and it still hijacks seach engine and tool bar

I recently downloaded the Firefox update and for some reason when I type in a keyword in my address bar or Google tool bar... I am redirected to "Google Custom search"- not just Google.com SERPs. How can I remove this "custom" view?

I can't search at all and I can't use foxfire until this is fixed. I don't even have a back button and my search window (to the right) went away. I looked through and selected all the options on "view--toolbars" and that didn't work. How can I get them back?

have a corporate laptop that needs to use a corporate proxy when connected via VPN or physically to the corporate network. I use .pac format proxy in option of automatic proxy. When i connect to home network same proxy acts like no proxy, and in corporate lan it work as corporate proxy. But from home network when i connect corporate vpn then something go wrong. I can only access corporate links, not any exernal links like google. When i select RELOAD option in automatic proxy, then i am able to access internal as well as external links also. I assume when i connect to VPN, firefox do not reload proxy which he should be doing whenever netwok change take place, and that should be automatic. I have tried "reloadPAC" option with PrefBar tool, but again it's manual option. I want to automate it, like something done on OS level, which can trigger reload option whenever i connect VPN.

Any suggestion?????

I recently upgraded my Mac to Firefox 19.0, then 20.0. As a result my webcam, a Linksys WVC80N no longer can display video via Firefox. A similar situation exists with iOS 6.0 and my iPad can no longer display the video after upgrading to iOS 6.0 from 5.0. So I downgraded my Mac to Firefox 13.0 and everything is fine. Also, Safari 5.1.8 displays the video just fine. Looks like a Firefox problem to me.

Starting about two weeks ago, I can no longer use my yahoo mail on firefox. It does not allow me to compose email messages, and I cannot click on emails to read them either. It works on internet explorer.

When I try to click on the account settings icon, it also does not work.

It's in color and constantly moving within its' frame. The ad is dead centered on the screen. Once I continue on to another site from Firefox the ad is gone. It's specific to Firefox. It's not logical that you've done this to torment your users. You're a non-profit. I will have to, very reluctantly, remove Firefox from my computer, though, regardless. How did Groupon worm its way onto my screen? The coincidence is that several days ago I unsubscribed from receiving Groupon's offers/ads. Could this be revenge? There's a meanness apparent here. Hi, I am wondering how I can turn Firefox off from connecting to several IP addresses when it starts up? I have set Firefox to remember my visited web pages/tabs, but to not load until the tab is chosen. I have also gone through the advices on the following page: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-stop-firefox-automatically-making-connections and have followed it carefully and disabled everything but to no avail. Also in the about:config I have renamed all Google http(s) links to see if it prevents FF from connecting as some of the IP addresses leads to Google (173.194.32.*), but no success. A search here on Mozilla or Google gives very little on this particular matter. I have also disabled all addons but doesn't help. The only way to prevent FF from connecting with internet is to delete "prefs.js" and "sessionstore.js", but then I loose all history. I have also used a clean FF installation and taken the "prefs.js" and "sessionstore.js" so to not loose history, but it doesn't help. Can anyone help me out, thanks!

I just want to disable spacebar scrolling pages in firefox 13.0.1 (or any other version not too old) by any means, maybe I can intrude some code into firefox files or is there some official option to disable the page scroll when i press spacebar?

The browser history that is older than 6 months has completely disappeared (it doesn't show up in the sidebar)! I would very much like to be able to see it again. How do I do this? I know for a fact that Mozilla Firefox used to have a feature where it let you see all your browser history (it put it under "older than 6 months"). I really like to go back and look at all my history. Please tell me this is possible. This really annoys me that this happened.

I downloaded my current version of the browser last June & the browser history is only showing October & onward. In my browser settings (tools- options), in the "privacy" tab, I have it set where it says the browser "will remember history", & I have the cache set to 1024 MB (but for it to override the cache management). I hope someone can help me, because I really want to be able to see the rest of my browser history. Thanks.

I Googled this problem and found nothing useful, and also checked the support area here and still nothing. I am creating a web page with HTML5 video. I made a layer with the video object that is hidden with CSS until the user clicks a link. When the user clicks the link, I use a JavaScript function to show and play the HTML5 video object. Works fine except that Firefox keeps the play button overlay in place while my video is playing! If I click on the overlay, the video pauses. Then if I click on it again, the overlay disappears and the video resumes playing.

I realize there are workarounds that can be hacked. But it's definitely a bug that the overlay stays in place after the video has started via a JavaScript command. I hope this problem finds its way to the right people at Mozilla for resolution.

I bring up ebay and I can get on to my account ok but when I close it and then try to get back on later the site comes up "Forbidden" and I can't access it. I get on thru Mozilla Firefox.
