I've migrated my WIN 7 desktop profile to the Microsoft Surface Pro (Win 8). I copied the profile over, and everything seemed to come over fine, except for my add-ons. None of them came over. Are they stored somewhere else, or do they need to be downloaded again? TIA for any help.

I have a new W7 laptop that just won't run FF. It goes unresponsive because of scripts that are causing problems. Yesterday I uninstalled FF and tried a new download. FF worked perfectly all day with just Roboform added. Today I'm getting the same unresponsive browser again with two scripts that have shown.

I can't do anything with FF. Tried starting in safe mode an that won't work either. Having to use G Chrome - please help me get FF working

I go to a website that requires a Java plug-in. I downloaded the latest update (21) for Java 7 from Oracle but when I go to Add-Ons>Plugins in Firefox 20 the Java plug-in doesn't appear and when I do a search at the Get Add-ons nothing that mentions the Java Plug-in shows up. Where can I get the plug-in required to use with JRE7u21?

Symptom: when playing the following video... MATLAB introductory movie

... the flash controls are between sluggish and dead.

The same URL has no problems in IE (9, have not updated lately).

I have all the plugins updated to green in plugincheck. The safe mode makes no difference.

When ever I start up Firefox I get the Error Message >Embarassment, which show a number of pages that either can be restored or ignored. This is becoming a nuisance as it has only just started happening since I did an update to Firefox. How can I permanently prevent this from happening in future. At the moment the only way i can see is to use another browser.

I am using firefox 21.0 in Mac os 10.8.3.We are using proxy server for browsing.While browsing internet firefox prompts for proxy username and password,after entering the correct user name and password it shows proxy authentication failed,Another round of authentication required.The same user name and pssword in working fine in safari in the same mac book.

One page only on my website, one that contains a lot of information, when viewed in Firefox but not in any other browser, looks normal until I scroll past approximately halfway down the page, at which point all the text on the page becomes covered in what appears to be a blue background. The page content is still there but obviously can't be read because the text colours are not compatible with the background.

I'm a Nightly user who upgrades every day. A couple days ago after upgrading I ended up having to install a third party app that unfortunately also installed some Delta search and toolbar junk without my knowing it. I deleted all the Delta junk I could find but later discovered that when doing a Startpage search from the Nightly search bar it would now just take me to the Startpage.com home page instead of performing the search and returning results as it had always done before. I suspect the search URL for Startpage got changed either by the Nightly upgrade or the Delta junk, or something along those lines. I've tried resetting Nightly to its default state as well as removing and reinstalling the Startpage search engine but no luck. Have looked everywhere but cannot find where the Startpage search URL is stored so I can return it to normal behavior. Other search engines work as normal from the Nightly search bar. Any ideas?

Formatting on several websites is incorrect. Everything loads on the left hand side one after the other. Clearing 'Everything' from the search history fixes the problem temporarily, for a very short time. I've been using Firefox for years and I've only recently been getting this problem. It's been happening on both Windows 7 and 8. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but this problem has only arose since I upgraded to fiber power broadband, 100Mb. Firefox simply has to make it possible for it's users to delete/remove/UNINSTALL UNWANTED PLUG-INS !!! WHY has this NEVER been a default option ???? I just don't understand.I found a page on how to "manually" delete plug-ins BUT...guess what ??? I ended up really screwing things up.Trying to manually delete the plug-ins that I wanted to do so with,I just randomly typed letters on my keyboard to rename the files and I did NOT write down what I has renamed these entries.

  Well,the instructions for doing this were not written very well and the "uninstall" did NOT take !! I even went as far as to uninstall and reinstall the entire program (Firefox) (thinking that maybe a fresh install would give me just the default plug-ins/extensions that Firefox comes with when a person downloads Firefox for the first time) TO NO AVAIL !! PLEASE....is there ANY way that you can help me with this ???

Win7, 32bit, PC. I'm moving to a new ISP (i.e. from BT to Plusnet). I've been using Firefox as both browser and e-mail client but to help me maintain clarity I want to use T-Bird as e-mail client. I would like to copy my address book from Firefox to Thunderbird but cannot find out how to do it. Can you help, please?

This past few days syncing of both my desktops simply is not working. When I go to history it only shows the history of the computer I currently work on. In Sync options on both computers everything is set and ok. All of this worked until last Friday the 17th. So please either help solving this issue either tell me what to do.

upgraded to version 18.0.2 Firefox started getting flash player fail message tried installing flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe install windows just closes and still no flash in firefox

Using Win7 Pro and Firefox 20.0.1. Keep getting an application 'App Manager' starting suggesting I download three things to let me upload to certain sites including Twatter. I have no desire to use the suggested apps, but cannot fing anything professing to be an App Manager. Is it something in Firefox or Windows? Any help in getting rid would be much appreciated

I followed the instructions about how to put my bookmarks in alpha order but it didnt work so what is the correct way to do it in alpha order a-z

hello, the view menu in the library doesn't change the arrangement of bookmarks themselves (but only allows you to temporarily view them sorted by certain criteria). in order to organize them alphabetically, right-click a bookmarks folder & select "sort by name".

but there is no sort by name in the droip down box when I right click a bookmarks folder, but I eventually found the folder and done it as sort by name showed so I click on it and closed the bookmark, then opened again but did not change?
