Hi, I was looking for help from two weeks now. Still can't solve this! :( My javascript is enabled, reinstalled java.com too. I deleted all my temp, history, cookies, removed add-ons, disabled kaspersky, checked it all in safe mode, installed firefox beta and all that..... now I'm just mad. The problem is javascript, I suppose, here are examples of sites that are not working for me: wireimage.com (trying to search or click on the thumbnail, where link is javascript:void(); - nothing happens) or viddy.com ie. http://www.viddy.com/video/b604f3a9-9b7d-4e60-bc7c-7bfe4ba89cf2?source=Featured where I should see play icon and video should load, but all I can see is black image. I have many sites like this. It's buggin me very much, that I'm very close to get chrome and delete firefox forever. Please help me! What I have to do to make it work again?

This is the situation: I make a bookmark, and I want to put it into a new (sub)folder. So I go to the folder I want the new folder in, and click 'new folder'. Now instead of giving me the opportunity to name my new folder, it just makes a new folder with the very useful name 'new folder'. When I go to the bookmark dropdown menu, I can change the name in the properties, so it's not a very big problem, it's just very annoying. If anyone can tell me how to fix this, I'd be very glad. Firefox has been doing this since I've installed it on this computer.

This is how it all happened: 1. Bookmarks first disappeared on one of my desktop computers. 2. Bookmarks disappeared on another desktop computer. Additionally I was unable to bookmark any new page - after I press the star button it would be blank (not yellow). 3. I can see my bookmarks on my tablet with updated Firefox Beta. But I am worried they will disappear soon too. 4. When I checked the Sync Quota it shows that Bookmarks only use few kilobytes even thought I have hundreds if not thousands of bookmarks. 5. I have reinstalled the browser removing all personal data, but the only thing that changed is - I now can add bookmarks, although not through Right Click->Bookmark This Link.

I strongly believe this is a bug in the Sync system and am now considering switching to chrome

Hi,

My little brother went on my laptop and visited the site: jizzhut.com

Now, everytime I type www into the address bar www.jizzhut.com shows up. I have cleared cookies, history and everything, yet it won't go away. I even deleted firefox all together and it still persisted.

Thanks...And hopefully you can help so he may live!

I'd like more than 10 entries in the recently bookmarked folder - the answers i'm seeing aren't really helpful as they assume you're going to type in some code somewhere (but never specifies where) - surely there must be some sort of intuitive solution for us right brained firefox users out there ? Because frankly I have absolutely no idea what people are talking about in the answers provided.

Not just on the toolbar, but ALL bookmark icons. I hate them. Don't need them.

Is there a simple setting somewhere in Firefox to handle this? If not, perhaps it might be something they'd consider adding in the future to turn them off in the options or something?

The only thing I've seen so far here is an add-on that removes them from the toolbar. I want them all gone from all bookmark menus and prefer not to have to install further 3rd party apps to get this done.

I'm using the Windows version 14.0.1

Thanks in advance for any assistance someone can offer.

Bookmarks no longer display in a sidebar of the browser. When this has occurred in the past I have manged to display them by pressing CTL+SHIFT+B but his does not display them this time

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox (shutting down my laptop after uninstalling) while retaining my settings

I have checked the Help files for Firefox but none of the suggestions seem appropriate and/or do not display the bookmarks in the browser sidebar

I can display the bookmarks as a toolbar across the top of the browser but this shows only the folders, which I have to open each time to go to a particular bookmark. The folder does not remain open as it did when displayed in the sidebar

Any help in displaying the bookmarks in the browser sidebar would be much appreictaed

I just updated Firefox to version 15.0 on the Mac. Suddenly, all of my bookmark folders that are supposed to be in my Bookmarks Toolbar are no longer there, and the Toolbar won't let me put them back there. This is substantially non-optimal. I must say, I'm becoming less and less of a fan of Firefox with every passing update, which saddens me.

Hello. I want to move multiple bookmarks which are currently not in folders (below all of the folders in the bookmark menu) to different folders. From what I've read the way to do this is through "show all bookmarks". When I select "show all bookmarks" I only see the bookmark folders I have and not the "loose" ones outside of folders. How do I see these bookmarks? Thanks.

Running 14.0.1 on XP.

"bookmark all tabs" does not save the name of the link when you create an html file using "export to html",

you have to bookmark each link to save the link properly. seems like a feature which is intended to save work, but creates work. limited value. could be a lot nicer if the code for the individual save is used

Is there a workaround?

After updating FF to 13.something and later to 15.0 from an unknown version, perhaps FF12

I have this problem, tabs would automatically reload once an old session were restarted.

I would very much like to disable all kinds of auto refresh on tabs when FF is restarted and old tabs is restored. No auto reload of tabs even though internet connection is available.

I'm familiar with the setting: "Don't load tabs until selected", this is of no use, as it will either reload all tabs on restart, or reload the tab i would like to use as soon i select it.

F5 is useful enough for me :)..

Thx for your effort.

Tonight I've been using Auslogics BoostSpeed v5.4.0.10 (the latest version) to clean my computer. There is a "Privacy" tool included which among other functions allows one to "Erase History". Once inside the "Track Eraser" module the user is presented with various checkbox options for deleting from installed browsers and WIndows

For Firefox I selected cookies, typed URLs, form autocomplete, saved searches, temporary internet files and download history as "history tracks" to be deleted.

The scan found approximately 1700 "history tracks" that were previously typed URLs. Upon reopenng Firefox it seems that did not touch my current history (deleted manually, last done over a month ago), nor my bookmarks. When I open the "Detailed Report" link in BoostSpeed that opens in-browser, the subsequent page shows the tracks detailed and itemized. In the list are sites I haven't visited in years. Spot-checking a few of the addresses shows that they haven't been deleted from my bookmarks file, either.

I'm curious where these addresses have been stored. I've been using Firefox since around v3 and the only common denominator I can think of, through various profile migrations and the changeover to sqlite files, is the bookmarks file.

Could a file connected with the Awesome bar have been saving these, even though I turned it off Awesome Bar capability as soon as that function was introduced? Plus, I think some of these addresses pre-date FF providing typed suggestions in the address bar.

One thing I have noticed is that when I do finally manually delete my history, there are a list of websites from years ago that seem to be "stuck", maybe about 200 links from 2008-2009 (?) that I can't get rid of no matter how many times I try to dlete the entire history. They were not touched by this Auslogics clean and are still at the bottom of my history list in the sidebar.

I have been accessing a Facebook app right along without any issues, and now suddenly Firefox is saying that the certificate is invalid and will not let me connect. The problem is that I am not being given the option to bypass the warning, all I get is the Get me out of here option. I have tried clering all histories, caches, etc. I have even gone so far as to uninstall Firefox, remove all personal settings, and reinstall it, and it still hasn't solved the problem. I have tried all the suggestions posted here, and they have not helped/

Since 8/26/12 in one folder bookmarks and sub-folders either disappeared, were rearranged into other folders or "Unsorted Bookmarks", duplicated, old ones from older Netscape folders appeared in newer Mozilla folders, bookmarks and folders were duplicated but the bookmarks in them were either older ones from the past (see Netscape) or were deleted or all the above. The last Netscape folder (version 8) and the Mozilla one have flipped positions, (the latter used to be above the Netscape one). This occurs after every cold PC start. After several trouble shooting attempts it is now happening in all folders. I have to backup the bookmark file into a separate folder in My Documents as the regular backups all seem to be corrupted in the same way. I even purge the data in SYNC and that has done nothing to resolve this. I have deleted the old bookmarks from Netscape 6/7 and the problems still occurs. Deleting duplicates makes things worse. The Places Maintenance add on worked only 2 consecutive days; It is no longer effective. I have to restore the backup I have made each time I use Fire Fox after a cold start.
