My Firefox was working fine, and now I just changed the settings (History) to delete all the data once, I closed the browser as default and installed LinkExtend, WOT and SecretAgent plugins, and Firefox is showing me an error message. I have reset the settings back and disabled the extensions, but still its showing an alert message for each page load(atleast once it'll show for each page load, sometimes it may exceed to 2 (or) 3. If I type a search in the address bar, I am automatically transferred to google. Can this be changed or am I stuck with google? I know I can select one in the upper right. Thank you.

When in firefox using Google maps and click on "EARTH" I receive a window indicating that to use 3D I need to install 21.0 Google Earth Plug-in with a "Download" option to click on. Note: Firefox 21.0 and MAC OS 10.7.5 have all current software updates installed. Safari & Chrome do not request for any plug-ins and 3D Earth option works fine. ANY HELP?

PS. my MAC does have an Intel HD Graphics 3000 installed but my MAC, Safari & Chrome work fine.

My company uses Outlook and Lync on Windows 7. Prior to upgraded to Firefox 21, I could open an appointment in Outlook, then click on a "join the call" link. This would trigger a page in Firefox, that would in turn trigger the Lync application to launch the call.

Since the upgrade, instead of launching Lync, it takes me to a page that offers options such as "join meeting using your web browser," "download and install Lync Attendee," and "use Communicator." This is not the desired behavior. Pasting the "join the call" link into Internet Explorer and Safari for Windows executes the correct behavior. It's as though Firefox is not aware of Lync. This behavior literally started after the updated to Firefox 21.

How do I correct this?

I activated the click-to-play plugins option in about:config, but unintentionally clicked the "never load for this site" option on one website. I actually want to always load plugins from this site. But now I cannot find how to change for that site.

The location bar does not display a plugin icon when I visit (even though I know that the page I'm visiting includes plugins).

In about:permissions, my plugin settings for 'all sites' and for that specific site are both set to 'always ask', but it doesn't do so.

How can I reactivate plugins for this site, without turning off the click-to-load plugins option? (ftr, I tested this and all plugins loaded correctly if that option is disabled)

My computer had a system restore after a storm shut my computer off after being frozen. No other issues are going on other than when I try to use the search bar, nothing happens. If I use the drop down box in the search bar, the only options I get are Add "Firefox Help", and Manage search engines. If I click on manage search engines, usually I get a list of options, google, yahoo, etc, but it is completely empty and restore defaults is grayed out.

Per other suggestions on this forum, I have upgraded to the latest firefox version, I have also downloaded the serachreset addon which didn't help. Also, there was another post on deleting the formhistory.sqlite file under my profiles, however, when I went to try this, there was no such file for me. (from this website's instructions http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_search_or_add_new_engines)

Please help as I don't want to have to delete the entire program just to find that upon reinstall, I don't have a fix.

For some reason Google Earth has stopped working in Firefox, and I get a note that I have to download the plug in. (It works fine in Chrome and Safari.)

I followed the 'solution' in the forum without any success.

When I search for "Google Earth Browser plugin" in Finder, I find SEVEN matching that search under "Kind" in Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plugins . . .but that "Kind" is associated with plugins that are "Named" something else - e.g., Adobe, DivX, Flash, Flip4Mac, etc. (Weird).

Can I disable parent.lock? When i set MOZ_NO_REMOTE =1 , I can open 2 window firefox with default profile

For some reason my adblock plus no longer blocks ad's on sites and i do not know why. It just started not working today and i can't figure out why. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall and still nothing. The only thing i can think of is if i uninstall and have it forget all my info.

The version 18.0.1 was fine, no any problems. Problems have started since I updated Firefox to version 18.0.2, before it was no issues with extension compatibility. Everything works except add-ons. I cannot install and/or update add-ons as well. I cannot open the page at https://addons.mozilla.org/ The page gives a message: "The connection has timed out".

Add-ons bar at the bottom of the screen seems to be working, but none of my extensions are showing next to the navigation bar. I run Firefox on the Linux Ubuntu 12.10 (32-bit), as well, and no issues.

In Firefox, on my FaceBook page and yahoo mail, there are Browse to Save ads everywhere! They are driving me insane. I disabled all add-onos and plugins and the problem remains. I clicked on on the ad and went to browse to save's site where they say they tell you how to uninstall it, but there is no way to uninstall it because it doesn't show up in plugins or add-ons. Help!

When I went to the tools area of Firefox to delete the latest history, that option had become unusable. How do I get the ability to delete the latest history back?

I now have a whole months worth of history, some of which I thought had already been deleted.

I was regularly using Foxit PDF reader plugin to view pdf files inside Firefox browser before the pdfjs plugin came through. After that I have disabled the pdfjs plugin (through about:config) and tried many ways to get back to viewing pdfs in the browser using the Foxit plugin but nothing works. I have reinstalled Firefox, reinstalled the Foxit pdf plugin.

When I go to Options > Options > Applications, I cannot see the "Portable Document Format" option on the left column. There is Adobe Acrobat Forms and XML and there is "Foxit Reader Document" (presumably PDF) and "Foxit Reader FDF Document" - I want to change those opening actions to Foxit inside Firefox, but there is no such option either - so Firefox can just download the file and then open in the external Foxit reader, but not inside it.

Any help to resolve this is appreciated. FF 21, Win 7.

Is there a way to force web page text to wrap?

My firefox doesn't recognize .docx or .xlsx files. They both come up as the same thing -- a Chrome HTML document. Since it isn't recognized, neither Word nor Excel are drop down options as programs to use to open the file. I have to manually browse and find either Word or Excel each time. If I keep opening excel docs, its ok because the Chrome file "remembers" excel, but if I then open a .docx file, I have to go in a search for Word again. When I go to options to change how an application is opened, its the same thing. I can't find a way to make firefox recognize .docx and .xlsx files as anything but a webpage let alone 2 different types of files. Can I manually add those as features? I tried using add-ons but that didn't work either.

I am trying to create a new Recovery Key. In Options, Sync, Manage Account, Generate a New Recovery Key, Save ... then when I select Change Recovery Key, I receive an error message that there was a problem generating a new Recovery Key.

Before the recent update, 19.0, I would google something and see [PDF] next to a link. I click the middle mouse button to open it in a new tab. Firefox would download the file and open it with Adobe Reader. I like this.

With the new update 19.0, the pdf file would be opened in the new tab. I have to go and down load it and then open it in Adobe. I don't like this.

I go into preferences under applications. I look to see if I can change this. Next to Adobe Reader document, I choose Use Adobe Reader, but when I click on a [PDF] link, it still opens the file in Firefox and not Adobe.

I want it back to the way it was.

I am trying tot default back to firefox search engine...My Firefox got updated and switched back to crappy AVG search engine I despise...Just need help switching it back I hate AVG's crappy search engine it really sucks
